For all it's corporate art and sleek fonts nothing about this was smooth. Hour in and I still couldn't buy a pass, constant crashes when I put in my card. The integration of a third party banking app making it so every time I have to reput my information I have to wait 5 minutes for them to send a code which expires in 5 minutes. Fine cash it is. At least there's a real time tracker... No? So there's nothing of value in this app? Just keep the old app. It wasn't perfect but it was not this bad.

1. The app is only as good as the drivers, and their attitude of not caring hasn't changed (-not reliable schedules, drivers driving through stops too fast/too early, taking unplanned breaks, extending their breaks at the final stops, not understanding that people in this city have to be on time for work/appointments/school, turning their GPS off so their real-time driving won't be visible etc). 2. The new app is not up-to-date with the schedule and does not show where vehicles are in reality.

Clunky poorly functioning app. I missed the ferry yesterday because I could not figure out how to purchase a pass. I'm pretty tech savvy, but this is NOT user friendly. The payment kept defaulting to Google Pay, but every time I went to purchase, it returned an error. Have also seen many reports that you can't purchase/use multiple passes at a time. I haven't tested this, but if true, this is terrible for families. Please fix your app .

The previous bus app was a much better experience. It would give you a map immediately and show you your travel options. This new app wants to know where you are going and gives you nothing when it's opened. And the map, when you get to it, is cluttered with 'stop' symbols that look like busses. The previous app, GoMobile, was terrific and should have been retained. I hope New Orleans didn't waste too much money on the lousy changes. Le Pass is Le Garbage.

It's convenient for purchasing tickets for RTA and Jefferson Transit. But the ride instructions don't make a lot of sense. You'll see instructions to go to a stop so that you can wait for 25-30 minutes for your bus. Not all the busses show their Live Location, so you don't have any way to know how long you'll be waiting for. And there's just RTA problems: busses skipping stops, bus stops lacking any signage, routes just ending because busses break down, or routes running terribly late.

It is still absolutely terrible. Even after months of "constantly improving" it. Bring back the live GPS tracking!!!! Your times highlighted green are so far from accurate, it's not even funny. If it's real time,, why I can't see the business? The older app was more accurate than this "approximate arrival" nonsense. Your service is unreliable to begin with. Now if we complain about something not showing up, you can just blame it on "oh, those times are just approximates". Figures....

Update 2 post9/25 upgrades: The #1 benefit of the RTA app is that you can see where the buses are on the route. they do not appear to have plans to bring this option back despite user outcry for it's return. The green arrival time does not appear until 5-7 min before the bus is to arrive at the stop. It does not accommodate those who live 8-10 min or more away from the nearest stop the ability to plan when to leave. The bus is never on schedule for it's estimated times either. Still a bad app.

Edit 9/26/22 Okay, this is feeling like an attack on both locals and tourists. Getting rid of certain bus lines and also changing certain routes has now made it difficult for a lot of us to get to work. Many of us work downtown and now without certain buses, we have to walk more. The Le Pass UI is awful and convoluted. No easy way to buy multiple tickets. There's no PROPER tracking on the map. Just throw this app out and bring back Go Mobile.

Payment option defaults to Google Pay which... does not work. Unable to purchase multiple single rides in one transaction (especially bad for groups and families). Real-time tracking is way too clunky and yes I did watch the YouTube video that you should not have had to make because it should just show ALL of the busses/streetcars on the selected route by default for a number of practical reasons.

EDIT:This app is Worthless without the GPS tracking. Now with the new schedules it's even less accurate. And no, the "time marked in green" is NOT correct. Why couldn't they have just left the app alone??? This new one is glitchy and complicated, have to go through 700 unhelpful actions to get the info I want. Unhelpful user notices can't be deleted: no, the stop the app insists is the "closest" to my location is Not. And the "farther" stop has a bench, which I prefer.

overall it's pretty well designed but the accuracy could use some work. tried to take the bus to get to the airport and it sent me walking 1 mile on a highway to get to my transfer, only before i realized that the address for the airport was wrong and listed twice. the highway was noted as an "unknown road". not the safest thing to me but hey, maybe it's more common than i thought.

If I could come back every day and rate this app 1-star, I would. Terrible. New process is pointless. If you want to buy multiple passes, you have to do them one at a time. You also ACTIVATE them separately. And you can't track the location of the bus or streetcar anymore. Whats the point of getting rid of these features?!

The old app showed you where the street cars and buses are on the map. The only problem i had with it was tickets would often crash the app. New app shows nothing on the map. You have to tell it your exact stop to get any information, and that info is only a number when the next car might arrive. The old app did that as well as the map. Fix the old app. Dump the new one.

This app is as useless as stale bread. Foremost in its problems is the inability to purchase more than one ticket at a time. Now I will have multiple transactions of 1.25 rather than 1 transaction for 7 or 10 dollars. Very inefficient. The app also does not let us track the bus so again, useless. And on top of all these unnecessary and wasteful changes, you still have some of the most rude bus operators I have ever encountered and I'm from NYC.

I still have to use the older app. The current GPS location of Buses and St. Cars is not provided. I was really hopeful this app would be fixed, but months after the launch it seems we have taken a step backwards. Please provide realtime GPS locations of buses/streetcars! This is a feature that is used all over the world for over a decade.

Only good for purchasing tickets. Nothing else. The location tracker barely works so you can't even plan when you should be at the bus stop, which defeats the main point of the app which is so that people don't have to get stuck in the rain or cold waiting for the bus. The buses are rarely on time (if they even bother showing up) so you constantly miss transfers. The schedule is constantly wrong, you are literally better off looking up bus routes on google maps. NOLA incompetency as a app

pathetic, worthless, worse than nothing app! the new app eliminates showing the exact location of buses and street cars, as well as their movement. to me, this is the most useful info the app could possibly give, as you can better time/plan your trip. additionally, for me in my use, the bus arrival time at a stop was completely wrong by over 30 minutes. how in the world they deaigned & started operation of this app is just beyond me. for my use, it's actually far worse than using nothing at all!

Why does it need to turn on Wi-Fi scanning? Kind of sleazy. Also the bus service still sucks. Really shameful app, really shameful public transportation. I think New Orleans doesn't really want to fund a public transportation system, so they're deliberately killing it by making it impossible to use. Edited to add: one year later and this app seems even worse. It never recognizes the address I input, so I have to laboriously search for it on the map.

Only thing that is reliable is the ferry. The busses don't always stop at their designated stops and the routes they take will have missing stops, leading you to walk for hours to get back to your home. I'll never use this company for anything other than the ferry to get back and forth over the river. Uber is a much more reliable option for transportation around the city

Still no difference. I keep encountering busses that are late, off schedule, blow past the stop, or some other screw up with the scheduling system. I've managed to make it on time where I was planning to go this month once. Just once. Also took a trip and typed airport looking to fly out of MSY and the directions brought me to the old airport. Need to differentiate between the two. One gets you where you're going the other to a parking garage. Edited: system still and almost always inconsistent,
