I almost scrolled past this app because I thought the name as a joke. What a surprise! All this in a launcher and for free? Incredible! A couple of feature requests would be more gestures (swipe left and swipe right on the home screen) and more flexibility with the dock (different icon patterns or centering the icons when I have an odd number on one row and even on the other). But wonderful app as it is!

The Pixel Launcher that comes stock on Google Pixel phones now is a nice, efficient launcher that is growing in the hearts of a lot of people, but it is pretty bare bones. Lawnchair is, in my experience, the best balance between the stock experience of the Google Pixel Launcher and the ability to tweak the experience. Out of the box, it mimics the look of the Pixel Launcher pretty closely, albeit without some of the newest features like suggested apps in the doc. But you can tweak it quite a bit - for example, I've got two lines of text labeling all my icons instead of just the single line Pixel offers. Most of my folders have the ability to open a specific app just by sliding my finger vertically across the face of the folder, without having to go into the folder first (for example, I have a folder for my social media apps, and when I slide my finger instead of tapping on the folder, Facebook opens). Lawnchair also integrates with icon packs (maybe you prefer a 3D version of the stock pixel icons with shadows, or Samsung-style icons) and Sesame. Lawnchair also let me select the search engine for the search bar in the dock (or I could have removed the bar altogether if I so wanted), including an alternate Google search - which means that I can limit searches to more recent results, similar to Google search within Chrome (helpful when I'm looking up information about software or a phone, etc., and don't want to have to sift through all sorts of stuff from the version discontinued 20 years ago that doesn't look or function anything like the newest version dropped). And I can hide apps, something missing on the Pixel Launcher, from the app drawer - so I don't have to have the icon for the pro unlock of an app that doesn't do anything unto itself except expand the capabilities within the base version next to it in my app drawer. But there are a few features that would still be nice to have, like the ability to click a menu option and have my folders auto-alphabetize. It doesn't import from other launchers, a function that is very nice if you've got almost the look and feel you want in a different launcher. And they can be slow to update - as I'm writing this review, it's been 10 months since the last stable update, and the "at a glance" widget that comes with Lawnchair has been broken for most of that time.

Very intuitive, straight-forward, and quite possibly one of the best launchers ever created but the padding/spacing of the homescreen icons between is horrible(!) and cannot be adjusted. Only the app-drawer's icon padding/spacing can, which allows you to reduce the spacing and make things ultra compact and screen efficient. If an update is made, you can forget every other launcher because this one really does have it all!

This is phenomenal. After you get used to the drawer set-up, the customization abilities are much much higher than the One UI and other launchers that I have seen and tried. You have the control over any customization you'd like to make to the fonts, the desktop, and the drawer's nitty gritty details if you'd like, and etc. It rarely bugs out and is pretty much stable in terms of software, so no worries for that as well. This app brought out the thing that pixels are loved for and it's amazing.

I was cracking up at the wise cracks in the pictures for this launcher, but when I installed it I got the notion that maybe they were just kinda lazy. I mean, this app is better if you're like me and your phone didn't come with an app drawer, but there's no way to change the app drawer access from swiping to a button, nor much customization options for the display style of the app drawer, which is a deal breaker for me. Also the fast scrolling in the app drawer was hard to activate as it's such a skinny line you have to slide on.

So far so good. Well done and wonderfully executed launcher. Extremely smooth and functions beautifully. Great amount of customization options. Would truly love to see an option to pick color choices for the Google search bar below the dock icons ( as in the bar itself and the Google logo and assistant logo). That would be amazing rather than just sticking with white and black. But I'm sticking with lawn chair for a while in hopes of seeing how much it matures.

Love the fact that I have the real Google feed on this. It was one of the issues experienced when switching from the pixel phones. Would request the for the following : (1) when an alarm is set, have it display on the "quick glance" widget (2) have the option to automatically go back to the default home screen when the screen turns off at, say the 2nd or 3rd page. Ie if I scroll to the second page on the phone's desktop and turn off the screen and then turn it back on, it would stay there

It's a very nice launcher, but it seems to have several bugs when using the new gestures. When it does work, the new gestures work surprisingly well, albeit maybe not perfect. But more recently I've had issues such as not being able to access the recent apps screen. When you close an app and return to the homescreen, the first time you try to interact with the launcher (tap, swipe, etc.), it does nothing, flashing black briefly. It does work the next time, though. Hopefully these can be fixed.

This app is great. It runs smoothly on my potato phone, looks great, and has almost everything i'd want from a launcher. That being said, it is missing the feature of setting a home screen. I like having my home screen nestled in between 2 other pages, so it kinda sucks that every time I press the home button I get sent to the first page. Another thing that bothers me is that it takes too long to get to the recents menu with gestures while on the home screen.

Something I've been looking for in a launcher lately is the ability to create folders in the app drawer so that my home screen is naked. I can do it with this but it would be more seamless if you could organize app drawer folders within the app drawer rather than going into launcher settings. This otherwise hits all the bells and whistles you'd want in a launcher.

Clean and fast launcher. Allows for good customization options such as icon shapes, gestures, and many others. My only major gripe is that you can't set pages as the home page or rearrange them as far as I can tell. The "Rearrange pages" view only allows you to delete them, unless I'm missing something. I also can't find a way to change the color of notification dots, so if I have a dark background, and an app inside a folder has a notification it will be hard to notice.

One bug so far...like it better than One UI 2.0. Favorite feature is that I can have an icon for a folder and then gently swipe up to access the contents of that folder. The bug? For some reason, the lock function is constantly engaging. I'll be able to move icons around but then after a while, I'm unable to do so. To fix it, I go into the settings, turn on lock, turn off lock, and all works as expected. Very strange.

This Launcher is special in it's own way. It's very fast simple and to the point. I want to use it badly. My only gripe are how the folders look. With multiple apps can I have the main app as the folder icon and just swipe to open the folder with the rest of the apps? 😫😫 Please please please. Those circle folders are ugly and really mess up the clean flow you already have going for this app. PS. I LOVE THE TWO ROW DOCK PLEASE KEEP. 5 🌟 ing after the folders are fixed. Salute LawnChairTeam Edit. 1. Can the lawnchair Google search bar be on every page we add? It's beautiful and black. 2. I love this Launcher but it's crashed more than 30 times sense I've been tweaking it to my liking. Crashes alot when asking to edit singe icon and the list of icon packs opens with a black screen. 3. Can I choose a homescreen to have the black Google search bar if I can only choose one?

Great launcher, with one medium sized bug. Overall awesome launcher. Endlessly customizable, snappy, and you can set it to search automatically when you pull up the app drawer, like 1+ does. One bug: if you close an app then quickly open another app, if frequently opens the app you just left. IE: close YouTube, click on messages and it pops me right back into YouTube. Happens with all apps. Super weird. Sometimes does it twice in a row, which is extra annoying.

Best launcher of 2018 hands down. I recently began a hunt for a new launcher. Installed a few that I had used previously, and a couple new ones. Each one had things that I really liked, but also things i didn't. Features or settings missing or not having the best look. Then I found lawnchair. It was the best in nearly every category I'd rank a launcher in, and second best if not. Sleek and sexy, with no shortage of customization. Most importantly is how quickly you're able to find a setup that looks great and fits your style and needs. Easily gets 6/5 stars from me.

Just installed today. First impressions are quite good. It's very clean with a nice feature set. There are others that are fancier but they're a lot more complex. I wanted something fast and basic with the ability to change rows and columns, tweak the dock, etc. This fits the bill! After I use it for a few days, and if it's trouble free on this phone, I'll happily buy you a donut!

This is a very accurate and customizable version of the Pixel launcher, and it is VERY close to the real thing. I use the Pixel 3a but prefer to use this launcher because of the customization. The only issue/bug I've found is that my back button is always visible while in the home screen, even when there is nothing to go back to (on 2-button navigation). Overall, however, this is a FANTASTIC launcher for anyone who wants a Stock Android yet customizable experience.

To the devs: To make this launcher perfect, please add the ability to adjust the scroll/swipe speed/acceleration on the home screen and any menu if possible. Stock andriod 10 feels a bit sluggish compared to other older versions... I would pay to have this feature added. To everyone else: it's super stable, allows for a lot of nuanced changes that transform your experience. 99% perfect

Super buggy; 9/10 times I have to relock to get a response from home screen or app launch. In my grouped apps, it'll just pick a random one from the group to open and keep doing that until I close and open everything again. I've used Lawnchair through a few phones past their last update, but I think this is where the road ends. These issues were with a brand new phone, so I'm guessing it's a compatibility issue with how old L2 is 😢.

Taking away a star because of a simple issue that's driving me crazy: if you set the desktop layout to dimensions that aren't 1:1 (i.e trying to set it to 6x5) it will later set itself to a 1:1 ratio (5x5 or 6x6). Please fix it, it's really annoying. Other than that, great launcher! It works well and has very good customizability. One feature that would also be nice is a "pull-up" dock like in the Microsoft launcher (instead of 2 rows showing at all times, it shows 1 and you swipe up for more)
