More About Lapse 2: Before Zero

Lapse 2: Before Zero is the official prequel to Lapse: A Forgotten Future. That you are here means, in some way, you were successful in your quest to save the world – or to destroy it. Doesn’t really matter which, since you’re about to travel from a future world into the ancient times. The one who once was President is now Pharaoh, the one who once was a machine is now your most precious ally in the challenge to come.
When you open your eyes, the year is 1750 BC, and the place is ancient Egypt. For some unknown reason, this mysterious land needs your help. Proceed cautiously: what may seem like ruling just another kingdom, may well be the key to the world’s survival.

Lapse 2: Before Zero answers the players’ questions, revealing the mysteries of the first chapter.

Honestly, amazing. Takes nothing away from the first game and makes it even more amazing. Its been a little while since i played the first game so i didnt really get any of yhe connections but the decisionmaking and balancing acts you have to do is very challenging, while still giving you an intriguing and fun storyline to work towards. Always great, keep it up. :) <3 ~Cloudy

I personally am enjoying it very much! HOWEVER, compared to the original it seems much more difficult to stay alive for longer periods of time and progress the story. This may be a turn off for many new players who don't fully understand the game. I can't wait to get to the end though! Very intriguing. I've been playing for 5 days now and am 3/4 of the way through

This game is really fun, just like Lapse a forgotten future. While I started this game a couple of days ago, I'm already addicted. Sure, there's advertisements, but during gameplay they don't appear. After you lose, yes one appears. You also get the chance to watch a short ad for a power up that REALLY helps. If you're looking for a game to just pass the time, I'd highly suggest this one! Keep making good games man, you're doing an excellent job!

awesome. builds up the best parts of the first game, while maintaining the simple game play with in depth meaning. i like how several cards in a row will relate ti others, instead of feeling totally random like the last game. cleverly integrates puzzles, and adds a system of morality, a them explored but nit used in game play in the last game. all around great game doing a great job of world building! love it!

Well, it's hard to tell how good of a game this is, more like a movie since the plot twist story it's unique and amazing, also, I loved that it's 3 outcomes instead of just one, it actually depends on you how the game is gonna end, nice graphics, no ads, very friendly, addictive, and definitely as good as the first one, I recommend you to try Lapse 1 before Lapse 2, there is only few game with the capacity to recreate such a good story in also a cool game that it's fun and not hard to understand

A great game continuing the story in the series. It had good simple graphics and runs on my phone where I cant cant play any good games. The controls are simple too, however five options for good areas such as (SPOILER), mazes and such. However you should play the first game to both get the story and understand the value system because in this sequel it gets more difficult. Overall a really good game that doesnt take much storage and runs smoothly while entertaining you for several hours!

great take on the "reigns" game format with it's own unique story and technical flourishes. hard to put down. Now that there are 2 stories occupying the lapse "universe" (albeit at different times in history) it would be interesting to see the story head in other directions. there are endless possibilities for future iterations.

Just as awesome and engaging as the first game, it implements new features, a variety of endings, and many characters. Humor is implemented into the game well, although it's mostly serious. After a while of playing, the dialogue options become repetitive, but it's still an amazing game considering that advertisements are completely optional. As this game implements concepts and characters from the 1st game quite well to make it a proper sequel, you should play the 1st game before this.

I really liked both of your games but this one is probably my favorite for a few reasons. 1. I really like how the scale was incoperated and used as a a sort of karma system. 2. Of course adding yourself in is always a nice touch. 3. The plot is really deep and you never really know when it will progress but it is always worth the wait and or death.

I played the first game, and this is building off of it so well! I have a paper and pencil to right down the key points to try to piece the story together. I still couldn't achieve the second ending: back to the past, though. You would need to play the first game to fully apprieciate (did I spell that right?) the game. I give this 5 stars, " The Creater" popping in and out of your games, asking if I am enjoying myself, and to rate it.

I really enjoy spending time playing this game between classes or on lunch breaks. This new iteration gives a lot of opportunities to see new cards more frequently so it stays more gripping longer. The balance systems still need some tweaking, I think. It seems too simple to get stuck having low values on all 4 stats, or maybe I'm just not good enough yet haha

Awesome. Lots of cool story-line elements and secrets, packs a lot of great content in what appears to be a simple card-oriented game. Surprising amount of strategy, but not too difficult as to be frustrating. And the "Creator" that pops up throughout the game is awesome, really cute and super creative haha. Love this game, and can always come back to it even after not playing for a very long time

It is an amazing game, can't even lie about that, not only is the story fluent, it's exciting and alomst impossible to predict. My only concern and while it isnt a ultimate turn off is that you can only have four perks, its a bit annoying especially if you're trying to live lol. my suggestion is either increase the ammount able to be carried or allow us to choose which one we wanna get rid of. Also allowing us to choose if we wanna use them because it can be wasted if we lost in two categories.

A direct follow up to Lapse (definitely play it first), with equally as gripping of a story with pleasuring music and simple gameplay. Taking a little dungeon exploration inspiration from their other game Reigns, adds a unique touch to the gameplay that wasn't in the first iteration. Although still in beta, the game already feels fully made with a few (essentially unnoticeable) grammar and gameplay errors that should get corrected by the final iteration. Overall one of my favorite mobile games.

I've played the original, and this game is great. Unfortunately, I do have some caveats. I've noticed this game is much longer, by several decades. This hurts realism and more importantly the gameplay. One problem I've had with the first was that; there was a point when I started to swipe left and right just to get to the next part of the story. I was bored. In the this one it's worse since it takes even more time to get to the end. Another part that was troubled me was the scales. For realism, the scales were either balanced for the purity of the heart, or imbalanced because of the evils of the heart. In Egyptian mythology, the feather was absolute and never weighed heavier than the heart. If the scales do affect gameplay; it's really hard to tell which alignment you are once you get past the menu screen where you're at on the scale. Those are my two(four) complaints, but everything else is fine. The addition of event that either lower or increase your stats is a fine edition to the game. It's good that there're events that can kill you if you swipe. It's not too obtrusive, and put you down. It's the right amount. Graphically its superb for the time and setting. The story overall exceeds the original. It give a sense of mystery with sci-fi elements. There are some bugs but nothing game breaking i.e. crashes, freezing. Great job with the game and look forward to the next game.

Honestly a great experience, much easier then the first game, but still having difficulty with decisions on the story and quest lines. Though there are a few problems with the game as a whole, mainly with certain events not giving you a choice and just lowering one of your stats like money. Events like that kinda ruin a game based off of only making yes or no like choices. Overall though the story is great and leaves me hungry for more! Great game though just a slight few issues.

The game is absolutely addictive and fun, like its predecessor. I can't stop relishing in how unique the story is for both, and due to easy design and function, it can entertain me for hours on end. The only complaint I have is how when I die, the year goes back, and I feel as though I am getting farther from the end. Though this is minor, and the game still deserves five stars for its easy design, addictive gameplay, and storytelling features!

I recommend taking the games advice and getting at least one ending of the first game before playing this one. It spoils one of the big twists within the opening minutes. To start off, this game has an interesting blend of sci-fi and historical fiction, and just like the previous game, you have to balance the nation's spirituality, happiness, military, and economy, and prevent any one stat from getting too low or high. The choices are also lot more diverse this time around. Easily a 5 star game.

Between 2 lapses, this is definitely my favorite :) I like the whole theme and story much better. If we didn't have to go back to first to get different ending, this would be 5stars(couple of times I forgot which choices I picked, cuzed to repeating the same ending :") . I'm grateful for no ads between the game tho^^ Creator has curious ways to show himself to us, which I find very interesting and useful.

Although this game is still on beta, it's been a wonderful experience. It's more challenging than Lapse: a Forgotten Future, at least to me. I love the chance cards and how the purity/weight of the heart is included. Makes the game a much better experience! No bugs that I've noticed whatsoever so far, though I had trouble finding this game/ knowing it existed because I didn't think the "lapse 2: Before Zero" thing displayed on Lapse: a Forgotten Future was a button/ link. Love the games though!
