More About Landrule Strategy vs Risk

Landrule is a turn-based strategy game.
You can test your strategy against thousands of others in multiplayer mode. A new pass-and-play mode lets you play against others locally on a single device! A single player mode is of course also included.

New maps make the classic risk game more fun. Lots of chances to develop a new strategy to conquer all the maps.

The results of orders are erratic: despite looking like a simple Risk style game, the numbers don't work that way. You can order 4 units to attack a 1 unit territory and they will lose- despite that it's meant to be a simple higher numbers game. There's no dice, no stats but even basic play is pretty random

The AI is the same for "easy" and "harder", it rarely ever gets difficult on singleplayer unless the player has an unusually unlucky start. Lightning speed should be the default setting for moves.

Don't waste your time. Poorly programmed. Instead if making the AI players a little smarter, they changed the odds on dice rolls against human players. I've had 20 against 5 and lost many times. The easy setting is usually unbeatable. I'm going back to genuine Risk.

Omg, FIX THE DICE ODDS! The number of times you lose with overwhelming superiority is statistically impossible. Stop hacking the dice probability just to rig the game difficulty. I don't mind "medium" being the hardest AI difficulty but the way it just makes other players invincible at times is intolerable. I've uninstalled this now.

Perhaps the next best thing to Risk. I've been playing this game for a couple of years now. I I have only played in single player game mode, but there is an option to play with others online. There have been some comments about the battles, like an army of 12 not taking an army of 2, etc. As a general rule, this doesn't happen often, but it can. That's part of the risk you take. Usually an army of 5 can take an army of one, and an army of 8 to 10 will usually take an army of 2, but not always.

Excellent UI, active community, quick games. Risk is a flawed game of course, but the speed, ease, and good variants make this the best mobile risk app I've tried. (Try the Rome, Greece, and Persia maps. Also the new and larger North/South America and British Isles are very good.)

It's simple, I Changed my 5 star to 1 due to the update and new maps. Why does the India map not show Jammu and Kashmir as part of the country? Is this a game or an anti India political statement. Also, a highly erratic AI in which three to four nations attack you simultaneously. No matter which strategy you employ. Hence it becomes impossible to win. Had this been on hard mode it would be acceptable but it now occurs in medium mode too. Loved the new silk road map. Disappointed overall.

Pretty good game. Lots of maps available and the fact that you can buy them individually is good. Also love the hotseat feature. All i'd add to improve this game is an option to manually select which territories are given to you, allows for more strategy as well as potential rp scenarios for hotseat mode

Feels rigged in the AI's favour. Every time I capture a continent they all go out of their way to capture just one territory and seem to focus on just me. Also if the AI has 9 and I have 10 it wins 95% of the time but the other way around I never win. Lazily made AI with no real challenge just breaks the game to win.

Have had this game installed on almost every single past Android phone I've owned, and it continues to be fun! There are even more maps I haven't bought yet, but easy enough to find or start your own games on the included free maps as well. Boils RISK down into the most-basic components for easy, fast gameplay!

An almost great re interpretation of the classic. However, the attack odds are utterly out of whack. You can lose 20 troops to 1. Game should implement the Conquer Club system which is perfectly balanced in terms of random outcomes. Also buying one map at a time is absurd vs paying for all to be unlocked.

When playing the computer the medium setting is harder than the harder setting for one. Second on the medium setting If I occupy more than one continent, every computerized team, with no worry of consequence, will do everything to breach my borders. But, if A computerized team has more than one continent, the other computerized teams dont attack. Weird.

Liked the game. It is rather easy to win against Ai, even at harder gameplay. Ai has no strategy at all, you may find yourself having 16 cards to be turned in next turn. I did not play online as it feels boring to me to wait hours for one game; and the game does not support instant play. Better strategy games are available (like antiyoy), but with some modifications to Ai strategy this one might be a fruitful option for offline strategy.

An okay Risk clone that suffers from even worse swinginess than the original. Games are drawn out by inability to stabilize defenses or to capitalize on victories. Even uncontested blitzes fail prematurely much too often. Makes for a harder game of Risk, but the frustrating play experience often leaves me more satisfied to be finished than I am with actually winning. Additional maps are fun. AI is decent for Risk. Accelerated pace is appreciated, especially the "Attack (all)" option.

I've been playing this game for years and had it set to difficulty hard, you were able to win every game easily. I would prefer something with a little more balance. But now the only way to win is on easy. If your playing against more than 1 ai player, one or two of them will sacrifice them selves to kill you. You can never get the advantage, it's dumb

Good risk clone! Then you realize multiplayer requires making a new account, so you just play single player. Then you realize the AI specifically targets you over doing the rational choice, resulting in king-making. I've watched AIs carve a path through an opponent to get to me, when they could have attacked the weaker AI's last territory, claimed their 4(!) cards, and bagged another country bonus to production. That killed any interest I had in playing further.

Played for years. Purchased boards. About 5 years ago, after a phone change, I lost all my purchased boards even though I was signed into my account. I reached out, but never heard from them. This drastically reduced my play. Eventually, I was signed out of my account, and have been unable to access again. I have messaged them through their contact email, but now get delivery failure.

The best Risk game available. Why? The AI even at medium is a fair challenge no free wins. The rng dice rolls arnt shown so it speeds up gameplay drastically. Many ways to setup and start games. Diverse maps with failrly balanced gains. Dlc maps are a buck each and pleanty are free to try right away. Risk fans the mobile game u been waiting for! ps. Did not try multiplayer

Sticking with older versions. The newest is ad-monetized (after years of complete silence from the developer, making me suspect the IP got sold), and no matter how welcome AI changes might be, I'm not seeing them as an actual improvement strategically. So yeah, take a hard pass on this one. It's a shame, but I can't support excessive monetization via ads - it's a garbage earnings model in a flagging industry.

I own every map that this game can offer. I like this game, but find it very frustrating at many a time. The AI is geared that I do not win. When i complete a conquest, I am rewarded more so with a blue circle than any other reward. Tonight, i played a battle where i had 19 points vs 7. I was wiped out. I had 1 point and they still had 7. Battles like these, I just say heck with it and start over. That is my experience with this game. That is why i can not truly say this is a good game.
