I was hoping for much more. This allows account and billing management, as well as searching and signing up for classes and finding gyms in the area. That's it. I was hoping for at least a calorie counter or workout logbook, but no such luck. Pretty disappointing considering the rigmarole required to start it up. Over half of the features could be found just using Google etc. Might be more useful if you travel a lot.

Latest update completely crashed, and I am unable to reload on my phone. Repeated attempts failed. Even went in to LA and they were very apologetic. Going to have to be old-school with my keytag again (luckily I saved it!)... & wait until the next 'upgrade' to the app. Worked fine until the last update. Wish I could go back just one update! ;-)

If I could, I would leave no stars. I downloaded the app specifically for reserving spinning bikes and scheduling personal training sessions. The PT booking function doesn't work, as it consistently tells me that there are no openings for the next two weeks despite the fact that I can go on the website and schedule just fine. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now it won't let me log in at all. The app is a compete waste. Don't bother with it.

The app is very buggy. It launches into the notification page and if you want to view class schedules, locations or any other page, you have to close it out and launch it again. The only reason I gave this 3 stars and not 2 is because the widget works well if you just need to open your membership card via 1 tap from your home screen. Aside from that, the app navigation is putrid and feels antiquated.

I'm glad to see others have reported the same experiences with the contact less check-in. It's not working at all and totally opposite of its intent. Now I have to give them my phone number to check in. lots of the time thru the mask, I'll have to repeat myself. Frustrated that I cannot get ride of the contact less(useless) check in option. At least the old method we can just scan our app and that's all it takes. Improve it quickly or remove it. It is not helpful at all.

The app does not allow the user to manage their workout and access their results remotely. The app needs to be updated or modified to take advantage of technology where virtually everything is done online. Trainers should have tablets that are able to manage a trainee's exercise experience and upload the results so the trainee can either download those daily results or monitor their progress remotely. All trainees are provided with a workbook to manually update their progress.

Kind of annoying. Getting to your ID card is easy, but you can't just save a favorite location for class schedules, you have to enter your zip and select the club...and if you use the in-app back button from a class description it takes you back to the home screen and you have to repeat the process. Just let me save a favorite club!

this app works perfectly well for displaying your membership card, reserving court times, and locating the nearest club. I find that some of the more "obscure" features do not work, for example, I can't open my latest membership statement document, nor does the "contact us" feature work for me on my Android devices. most importantly, I would like the ability to pay my membership dues through the app.

Not bad for checking class schedules and keeping track of your visits, buggy at times (slow load times of schedules and personal trainer availability). Wish the app could do more. For example a workout log, to keep track of workouts, music or third party app music control, analytics for busiest times. Some people would like to know when it's not as busy to allow you the most use of the available equipment.

It is very difficult, if not impossible to add locations for your search. Once you've selected 1 or 2 locations of interest trying to determine how to add additional locations or delete locations is impossible. NOT user friendly at ALL in this regard. Probably rated the app to high, but for selected locations, detail of club information is readily available. FRUSTRATING!

Bring back the widgets and I'll change my rating. As others have said, removing the Widgets has made the app less than ideal. Used to be one click to get my id up, now it's three. And the Contact Free (still 3 clicks) is nice, but the people at the desk aren't trained on it, so I have to explain that I did contactless check-in and then they look on the computer to see if it registered.

This app does what it needs to do, but with minor annoyances. For group classes, it won't default to your home location, so you have to search for your gym every time. There's this great messaging function, but it's only used for useless notifications (class instructor substitutions don't affect my plans), while there's no communication of things I actually need to know (pool closings significantly affect my plans). Phone check-in option disables the key tag forever, so it's not really helpful.

It's ok. Lets you find gyms and classes, and make reservations for personal training. Biggest problem is around the training reservation integration with your calendar. It has that feature, which is great… but you have to check the box to add to calendar for each and every reservation. I frequently forget and just press confirm. If I don't realize it and then immediately go to the calendar and add it manually, I will probably end up missing the appointment. It really sucks.

Nice to be able to see the classes at my local club. Wish it had an equipment maintenance request feature. I frequently report issues to the front desk, but they never write down the details of the issue, so it doesn't really get fixed. This version (1.197) locked up on me recently and wouldn't show anything but the main logo. Had to uninstall and re-install.

I really like the app. I'm not using it to it's fullest capabilities but it serves my needs. Theonly thing I would say it disappointed me in was the inability to merge or carry my previous account check-in information over into my new one. It's like my track record is now gone because I upgraded my account. 👎 Update: Inability to easily submit feedback or complaints for locations. For example inoperable equipment for extensive periods of time or regularly beitout of basic supplies (op issues)

As many have mentioned, the initial log in method is an utter failure. App launches the phone camera to scan QR code, but nothing happens. This to me seems to be one of the biggest fail in the app history. However, there is a solution: In the instruction page that tells you to scan the QR code(after signing up with LA Fitness), in the lower left corner has an option to create account manually. You just need to choose a user name and enter the password twice. Once created you can log in on the Mobile app the same way and get all the benefits of the app.

It's nice that the app informs you of a substitute instructor for a class, but it would be really helpful to also know if the class format has changed. It really sucks to show up for a class that's listed as Cardio Kickboxing just to find out that the sub is teaching Zumba instead. Also, it quit tracking my checkins several months ago. Otherwise a pretty good app. Update- They did what I suggested ! Thanx !

It's good feature that the app is capturing check-ins data, helps monitor how consistent I were Aggravating thing in the app though is, on opening the app, it takes to "Messages" page first asking to "Rate us", how many times can I rate the same gym everyday. The home page must he the landing page. And even when I hit back from that friggin New messages page, it doesn't take to home page. It closes the app and I have to reopen the app to land on the home page, terrible show while standing at th

95% of the features doesn't work, you can't reserve a class, or set a workout routine, you can see some workout tips, but when you go back to the session, it goes out to the main page. Must of the links (must of them) doesn't work, or are useless. Overall, i recomend you to see the YMCA app, and copy the good things it has.

I just need this for the zumba class schedules & now the classes are listed randomly under their time slot, which means searching for local classes. Before they would list the classes according to distance (closest to farthest), making it effortless to search! Also, just make class searching a button on the main menu!... don't bury it under 3 different windows. Can I please have the last app version back?!?
