This app was great then the update. I am from Idaho. I went to visit my daughter in San Antonio, TX . While there it did the update. It now shows San Antonio as my location.....forever. Can't change it. It makes searching for something on the app impossible. Even tried using the funky map they have. Goes immediately back to San Antonio. Use the location bar, defaults to San Antonio immediately as if you hadn't put in a different location. Unusable!!!!

Messages don't always send notifications, causing me to miss buyers. Also doesn't always send messages. Don't turn on push/email alerts on every 'favorite' item automatically! That should be an opt-in, not an opt-out! How annoying! UI setup is frustrating. There's too much separation. If you search cars, then want to look at favorites, you have to again choose cars after selecting favorites. Doesn't do this in a browser, makes no sense why it does in app. It unnecessarily complicates the app.

I love that this market is out there so our community can reuse items before they go to landfill, and it saves us all money! The scammers get really obnoxious, but their activity has died down lately. My only issue is that sometimes the app will bug out and not show me all of the results in a category. For example, I'll go to bed frames and it shows 1,000+ results, but only let's me view about 200 or so.

Update: Latest update is even worse! Now each saved search is in a huge box requiring extra scrolling to run. New app designer is clearly trying to change things for the sake of change, not because it's better! Requires more than 4 clicks and scrolling not just to run one saved search and three to just get to a classified section. So bad! New update is cluttered and completely unnecessary. Takes extra time to load, extra menu to get to saved searches. Deeply regret updating.

Even with the new version (I just downloaded it as of 10/15/20) it keeps logging me out so I can't see my saved searches, listings, and favorites without reentering my password. Update: I've found that the forced relogin happens whenever I lose Internet connectivity. My guess is that toggles a flag and the. I must reauthenticate once I am back online. Maybe that helps troubleshooting. Update on 11/15. When I don't use the app for 24+ hours but maintain Internet access, it forces re logging in.

Cheap lowballers! 50% off is barely good enough for New In Box. Every few years I get so frustrated with this I get on here to rant. 50% of the time I can't access KSL Classifieds. It times out or just stops. Today, I missed another big classified item because the app wouldn't send a message and would just freeze. Once it opened, it would not send messages. After I got home 45 minutes later and opened the ad on my desktop the item was sold. The app has always been terribly unreliable and slow.

This app is basically unusable. I love KSL classifieds, but the app constantly has errors pop up when looking at an item, and often multiple errors on a single page which need to be clicked on individually to dismiss. Searches often fail to load more than a few items. I want to love the app, but it's an awful buggy mess right now. Motorola G7 Power user.

KSL has admirably added features to the app and I think the messaging one is a good one. My big problem is they need to stop adding features and focus hard on performance. As it stands now it is inaccessible on a cellphone and only getting worse. It completely hangs on a top level keyword search. The app is literally useless for me now. Frankly people need to stop giving three stars to something that is outright broken. Maybe they'll get the message one of these days. See you at an alternate app

Messages feature is way too slow. Consistent problems loading or sending messages. They really need to work on optimizing this feature. Half the time I need to restart the app after loading from a notification. I have to wait 20 to 30 seconds for my messages and pictures to load if they load at all. That's unacceptable for a key feature of the app.

I like the way everything is organized. Texting is much easier than emailing. I've sold several items over the years and it seems like it has a wide audience. I will continue to list things. I have had a little trouble with pictures at times- not able to set main picture- my secondary ones keep popping up. Or I have viewed the ad before listing, and it would show pictures, but later when I checked it, there would be no pictures. Not sure if it is the site or my phone signal.

I appreciate the idea behind the new messaging feature but I feel like something is broken with it. I haven't been able to get in touch with a single seller since the messaging feature was implemented. Please make the messaging optional, bring back the text/call feature please! If you want to protect people from spam, implement a captcha to place a call or send a text!

Love being able to buy and sell, and I'm liking the new messaging option. Something I don't like is how annoying it is to post images of stuff you are selling. The user experience is really strange. It always messes up the orientation of the images, or puts stuff in the wrong order, and it's annoying to try to fix. If that could be fixed, that would be awesome!

Used to be a good app but they can't leave good enough alone. Now every time I try to open it, it crashes. I restart my device and it doesn't help. I uninstall the app, to then reinstall and it works for a short time. They did the update to the new U.I. and it was annoying but I can understand you have to try things from their perspective. But the fact that it crashes and won't open on a pixel 3xl seems like a major oversight. Hopefully they get it fixed soon, seems goofy to let it crash

This app is well organized and easy to use but it times out constantly. I don't know if it's a bandwidth issue or what but it always struggles to load regardless of the device or network I use. It constantly pops up a message that says "error timeout" and then it boots me out of my search. I really enjoy the app otherwise. I just have to constantly reload searches

The app needs alot of work but has potential. They made it so you could get notified when someone posts something that specifically want, but I don't receive a notification until like 2 hours after it's been posted. You can have saved searches and a home page, but it's constantly erroring out and sometimes doesn't even show the correct category under my saved preferences. Would give it 1 star, but it does have a few good things about it.

App is pretty good... when it works. When I first got this app it worked great and was quicker than using the site. Now half the time (or less) it works the other half of the time the app decides it can't connect to the ksl server and I don't get to see any listings or can't click on the ones I can see. Really could use some optimization. It gets really annoying.

Over the years I have installed and removed this app a dozen times, I always run into something that is worse than using the browser. This time its been smooth, except one major problem. When I am viewing a listing and change apps, once that app has been dormant for a while, when I open it again, the listing I had pulled up is gone. I am brought back to the first opening page. Not a problem with Chrome, so its being uninstalled again!

This is a decent app, especially if you know what KSL is and how awesome they're classified section is. That said, it is super annoying that every single time you switch back to this app, even when it's still in memory, you have to endure the sponsored splash screen again. I can't stand that. Also, the user interface isn't well thought through, and definitely not user tested. You can finally get used to it and then you'll know where things are, but it's not intuitive at first glance.

No way to turn off saved search notifications. I contacted support, and now I get notification by email as well! I was shown a screenshot that showed a Saved Searches option under the MY Account page. That would be an excellent start. But so far, no update like that appearing in Google app store. Whoever designed the current version should be fired!

The new loading screen is awful. The animation was used to sell ad space at the expense of the user experience. It sucks. Navigation in the app and menus is less intuitive with each update. e.g., I tap on a saved search on the home screen, hit the back button, and it takes me to saved searches instead of the home screen. Menus are convoluted.
