It has potential. Just need to fix the sizing a bit for mobile use since things were getting cut off or smashed together

Can't believe this got through testing like did they just slap the computer software on here or something?

I have the pc version, but this on the phone? The UI is so terrible that it's too huge! I can't even open a new blank canvas to draw on.

Literally just the desktop program copied over onto mobile. I was skeptical of claims that it was "impossible to use" but that's exactly what it is.

Not optimised for use on phones, just the desktop app running on your phone. Unusable on a small screen

To anyone bashing this app because it doesn't currently work well on Android phones; you should know that it was only released on April 8th, 2024, and is an open source drawing app. Meaning that it's not owned by a large greedy corporation and probably won't be loaded down with ads, place features behind paywalls, or demand a monthly fee. When the bugs are ironed out, this will be a full desktop featured drawing app, but on Android. Currently, UI requires adjustments to work on phone screens.

It would have been fun I watched someone do the whole thing on an Android tablet but I could not reach the whole screen so I could not click on the canvas button to create a canvas so I could not even start 😭😭😭😭 N Why😭 Just why😭

Looks promising, but even though I have 1080x2316 screen, the interface doesn't scale and I'm seeing only 1/4 of it which prevents use.

I've been using Krita for a while, I like the application a lot, actually. But where is the undo button? I can not find it. Also, the stabilization is wonky, but that may be my drawing tablet

It's unusable on phones, you can't even create a new file. Either make the app not available on smaller devices or format the UI better so that it can be used on smaller screens as well. I like Krita on desktop so I'm disappointed with the app.

If you are an android user, don't bother. The screen's formatting is off, and you can't even create a new document. There are scroll bars to adjust the viewable areas, but they don't even work. Completely non functional.

Poorly formatted for portable devices (phone/tablet)

The app looks like it was copy+pasted from desktop format but forgot to adjust it for a phone screen. I can't do anything on this app. It opens to the left corner that shows the file and edit options. There isn't an option to zoom, move or adjust the screen. Please go back to the drawing board

It's unusable for mobile. It's impossible to even create a canvas because it's not formatted for a phone's screen size. I hope they fix it soon

Definitely not for phones, the whole interface is as big as Photoshop, so you need at least a tablet to be able to use it.

Unfortunately, this app is unusable. It is not formatted for mobile, making you unable to even create a canvas. I really hope that this will be fixed someday, as I have used Krita on pc and it is my favorite drawing app by far. I would love to be able to use it on mobile as well and I know it will take time, but I hope it happens.

I get that this is a very new app, but I don't understand why they released it (and not even as a beta) when it's not close to being a functioning mobile app. It looks and operates like a desktop application, so unless you use it on a Chromebook or some other device with a mouse it's completely unusable. It seems extremely richly featured and promising though, so I really look forward to when they release a functioning version.

Great drawing app. With a little adjustment, this app is usable on a 6" android phone. I use this app for the "steady stroke" feature missing from the mobile version of other drawing apps. Yes, there is some one time setup (10 mins max) required to get everything to fit on screen, but it is possible. My setup is: a workspace with just the canvas (all other sub windows closed) and a custom toolbar with the undo/redo, tool size, tool selection and color picker.
