The app as such is great, but the menu for entering numbers (at least in the dungeon adventure) is too small compared to the space it could have taken on the screen. There is plenty of dead space to utilize for making the keypad big enough to prevent the frequent misclicks that we experienced. If the keypad is improved the app would get full score.

A nice idea, but poorly executed. The timer/music thing worked well, and added a level of suspense, however the introductory passage linked to our version of the game was incorrect (it was talking about an entirely different scenario and cast of characters to the ones featured in ours!). We were playing the "house of riddles" game, but the introduction was talking about a creepy castle encountered on holiday and the narration was pretty lacklustre even if the information had been correct.

Besides not needing a soundtrack while aging the Exit games the app is great for the adventure games. However it would be great if there was a save function while using the app on said adventure games. If I shut down the app I can't see my history of what I have tried out before. That's a bit annoying. Please make saving progress a function. Also maybe make the fonts easier to read. Sometimes numbers are blurry and written so narrowly that it's easy to mistake them. Also please narrate the hints

Super cool addition to the EXIT games. Two suggestions though: 1. When having the timer, let the music run in the background when the screen is turned off or switching between apps. 2. When the game is finished and you press stop on the timer, let the voice read out the last card/ending with the awesome narrator voice. Btw. The mini-game / easter egg (game with the question mark) inside the app are very nice! Regarding installation: It took ages until it was properly working! Please fix this.

No games to be found. Completely unusable and I cannot find any fixes or guides online. EDIT: It was an unfortunate that my first interaction with the app was during some unforseen downtime. I have tried again and it is working perfectly. The narrator really gives another dimension to the game (although the audio quality isn't great at times) and the interface is so sleek. Downloads are very quick. I will definitely be trying out other board games by KOSMOS in the future. Heck of a lot of fun!

Lovely companion app to the game. We played exit from the roller coaster. What I felt it needed was a couple of special effects buttons you could have which played special effects sounds like a creaking door or cheering crowd or positive sound effect when you solved something. You just hit the button at an opportune moment in the game. Obviously don't want to put everything on the app so it was nice to have the hints on the cards.

The app worked fine. No complaints there. The Exit Forgotten Island board game, however, was frustrating and confusing. The word puzzle to get the star clue made me feel like I had dyslexia. The final puzzle that uses the box might have worked if the strange object was a solid piece of plastic, but as a flimsy piece of cardboard folded in half in the middle it was impossible to use as intended. I also find the need to cut up the rulebook and game pieces extremely wasteful. Not fun.

We are enjoying these games. Some are better than others. We recently played the abandoned cabin, which was really great, then the Lord of the rings one, which was more difficult, despite the lower difficulty rating, with a lot of reading to do and not very intuitive steps. Regardless, we are enjoying the games. One thing is that there should not be a need to destroy the game by cutting and folding. We like to pass those on to friends. Hence, 4 rather than 5 stars

Wonderful app, well done KOSMOS. I wish every board game came with a helper app like this one. Really well done. It makes learning the game so much easier, and the extra features are fantastic. I can't praise KOSMOS enough for this. Love it.

This isn't crucial for playing the exit games, but I would highly recommend it! The tutorials, ambient sound track, and timer are all very fun and useful -- especially the soundtrack. We've used this alongside all the exit games we've played (6 or 7?) and love it every time!

We purchased the abandoned cabin it was very well designed and a lot of fun . The biggest detractor was the recording from the app cuts off the first word of every paragraph of the narration. The sound effects and mood music were well done. The developer was prompt in their response to the issue.

The games are awesome. But, the user interface on the app is very clunky.... After downloading the storyline it's ALWAYS challenging for me to then go find the Play button to begin the story. I guess I will get better at it (the Application!) after I learn how to use it - but it seems like it should be easier to hit the play button...

We just started using this with The Dungeon Escape adventure. Our only complaint is the font choice. It looks cool but the italics and serif combine to make it hard to read. I wish there was an accessibility setting to change it to something less stylized. It's not an issue for us but the font is also a bit small so a setting to adjust size would be nice too.

We've played several Exit games & this app's atmospheric sounds were nice. But it REALLY shines in the narration & tutorial for the Kosmos Adventure Games. We just played The Dungeon; the adventure game format intimidated us at first. We didn't start with the app until 15 mins into it. That British narrator & visuals for the tutorial made it immeasurably easier & having location choices spoken aloud was so much more FUN! Figuring it out took patience but it was well worth it. Thank you!!!

I am uncertain how to edit a past review. I gave this 1 star yesterday since it did not install properly for a couple hours. It turns out the system was overloaded. Today it loaded without any issues. The developers were also quick to respond, which was wonderful. The app itself works well. It is just a timer and ambience though. We thought it may be more in the EXIT game we used it for, as the game instructions made it sound more important. Still, the music and sounds are nice.

We thought the game was very hard to follow and some of the accessories were difficult to work with (the cube and the skull/sliding number keys). The card system was unnecessarily confusing and time consuming and required you to place the cards back in order when you were just going to have to throw the game away after playing anyway. Other escape games I've played allow for me to give it to someone else, who can play the game after we do. Excessive waste in this game, for little reward.

The game box said the app would have an atmospheric soundtrack but it did not. Because of this, I originally gave the game 3 stars. The developer responded that the soundtrack is integrated with the timer which explains why we didn't find it since we don't worry about timing ourselves. The game was fun without it and, now that we know, we will turn it on next time. Therefore I changed my rating to 5 stars. Enjoy!

Just finished playing The Dungeon and thought it was incredible! Wayyy better than the UNLOCK game we played last week (specifically The Noside Show) and cost less than half the price. It felt like playing D&D, but with less freedom of choice and no custom characters (for those reasons, I actually enjoyed it more than D&D). Was fantastic having audio for all the dialogue as there'd be quite a bit to read otherwise. Would be interesting to play this as a full solo/multiplayer PC game as well.

Great background music and being able quickly see your score after you finish is awesome. So it does everything it says it will! One star off because I do wish it saved your scores. It would be nice to look back on old plays or compare with others for fun. Even compete against your own old score sometimes.

I just bought The Crew: Mission Deep Sea, and I downloaded the helper app to accompany the game. The tutorials are clear narrations of the rulebook along with animations. The game timers and soundtracks for specific missions are a nice feature. The only thing I would improve is to add a playback speed for the tutorials. A few tutorials could have been faster, like 1.25x or 1.5x the playback speed.
