I haven't been using this app to it's full potential the past few weeks. I didn't realise I could see all of my movies in one place, set playlists, read the synopses of the movies, same goes for tv shows. I was using it purely as a remote. Is that because I set an SQL server recently? Amazing.

Worked great until Internet lost connection. Connection came 15 minutes later and now Kore is stuck at connecting. Reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, but still stuck on connecting. Seemed to become unusable. P. S. Fixed it myself. Apparently, IP changed and had to edit one digit in configuration. This is a common problem, so devs should've write about it somewhere, but they didn't and had to poke around myself until I found it.

With latest update the small buttons are even more difficult to hit. Play/Pause should be large above the arrow keys. The additional buttons make pausing playback more difficult. The extra little buttons (volume, shuffle, etc.) Should go back to the first pane. And where is the black theme.

Can't seem to handle album cover thumbnails embedded in ID3 tags in my music files. About 70% seem to display, the rest won't, but they do on my Kodi main install on HTPC just fine. I hate flipping through my collection looking at giant letters where the album cover should be. I'll delete this app instead and look for a Kodi remote that gets thumbnails right.

Marvellous! Especially with the new redesign, the app is GREAT. You can browse your library directly on the phone and you have complete control over the playback - volume, language, subtitles... The new integration with system media controls is great too. Couldn't ask for anything better, Kore is just great.

I lack function for scrolling video +10s -10s in main interface. There are one in active notification in android, but it does a bit far jumps (+-30s). There are speed controls in main interface, but on weak systems like my Raspberry Pi it is not very useful and hard to point particular moment. Anyway, thansk to developers!

3 stars and not 5 because: 1. Volume slider too small to control setting volume "just right" in a fine grained way. dedicated + and - buttons or making the slider long can solve this. 2. The text input feature sends text backwards to Kodi for some reason, when inputting RTL language text e.g. Arabic.

It works well, although it never discovered my Kodi automatically. There are some UI weak points, when viewing a video, some controls are way to small, e.g. the volume. Also management of voice tracks and subtitles isn't too convenient. There's ample space to have controls that would work much better...

Okay so I was first annoyed I had to use another app to control Kodi through Google TV. However this remote is surprisingly well designed and feature packed. It syncs with media player and even gives synapse of watch your watching, while being able to use playlists. Kodi by far has been the best experience I've had as a media player.

Works fine if you have only one profile, if you switch to another profile then Kodi itself crashes. I have now lost all control of Kodi in the second profile. The actual TV remote control doesn't work anymore neither. Cannot exit the Kodi application at all, it is always running in its broken state in the background. This is quite a bad bug. This only begun since using configuring Kodi for this app.

Great app, however it did have, in my experience, a bit of a learning curve. Due to modern device widths, the remote control positioning nowadays feels a bit small, meaning I often found myself pressing the wrong buttons several times. Networking-wise, despite other reviews, I found no connection issues using the app, having Kodi installed on a desktop Debian-based Linux system. Commands felt really responsive and quick. Overall, great app, but needs minor design improvements to really stand out

I've been using this app for many years and just decided to leave a review now I've built many htpc's in my tone for both myself and others, this is the go to app to control kodi. I have a lot of offline content and in time have learned the full potential of it's features. A static IP is recommended for those who drop connection every month or so.

This app is so awesome and useful it almost defies description. With it I finally have a phone app that I can control a music player with at home into which I've integrated MusicIP mix technology and and it's beautiful and sweet. Still there are a few things that separate this app at present from perfection: 1) If I search my library for music to play, and then play a song and build a mix, and go to the remote control, then come back to search, the library search is reset. Aaargh. This lack of memory is the greatest frustration that has me trying other Kodi remote apps out. I spend ages homing in on an album I want to sample I try a song, and come back and I have to start again .. 2) It lacks any clear means of rating music that's playing. I want to be able to rate a song I hear say 1-5 stars and then be able to find songs by rating. TO be honest I haven't even worked out how to coax that out of Kodi yet let alone Kore. But man if Kore had this it would be another step toward perfection. 3) Lack of a Lyrics display. Kodi has a Lyric add on that display a best effort at lyrics of a playing song. It is pretty cool. Shazam can do same for me and technically I can shazam the danged song that's playing but wow, is that a round about way of doing things. Basically if there were an option to display lyrics in Kore, yet again one step closer to perfection! These three things would move me to a 5+* rating for the app, unable to sing its praises far and wide enough. As it is its' rocking awesome but has these little frustrations at the cusp of what it might offer.

I like this, very handy and I love a graphical remote. I would suggest 2 improvements though.... 1) when not playing, to be able to browse the media files on the app, so I can pick and play without needing the TV on, or even be in the same room. 2) the option of hearing the audio files through the remote. Odd one I know, but I use the phone for audio more than visual, with files stored on a PC, and this app is basicallu 90% of the way there. Keep up the excellant work! :) :)

Not satisfied. Remote keeps on disconnecting when something is playing on Kodi. Network is highly optimized. On same machine, VLC Player with its remote works extremely well. Don't know why connection keeps dropping on this one. Shame, looks well though. Full of features. Really. I would like to edit, and point out one thing as a response to XBMC. I have three android phones on the network. Of those three, two of them works fine, one that is running android 9 has issues mentioned above.

Great app for my OSMC I'm loving it. The only issue I find is it's slow to enable subtitles embedded in videos and it takes long at times to show movie length just in case I want to skip to a certain point. The app can't access my Local Files even though I allowed the app to have acces to storage. May you please fix the issue with Local Files.

Good app. 2 suggestions: 1: Make the remote control buttons scalable so they show bigger on bigger screens, and move them up -- there's a ton of unused screen real estate there and it would work better for most users if the controls were centralized instead of being at the bottom. 2: Most of us have VPNs. So it would make sense to make it possible to use this app alongside VPNs. I suspect this is possible as is, but not easily. Thanks for your efforts/ consideration.

Always loved this one, makes browsing through menus while keeping the video full screen possible, and being able to have multiple kodi devices linked up means I don't have to keep track of different remotes. One thing though is that I can never get it to automatically link, always have to setup manual, really the only thing I take issue with

Great app for controlling multiple kodi boxes. One slight problem though, once you cue multiple tv shows, movies, or albums/songs, you cannot rearrange them. So you need to be sure you put them into the cue in the order you want or you'll have to start over from the beginning. Just a small bug, but one that needs to be fixed. Will rewrite review once bug is fixed.

So I've been using Kore for quite some time. It's been fantastic for everything I've needed it for. The only complaint I have is recently on Android Pie. The audio/subtitle quick button is gone. Where did it go? I used to be able to select and download subtitles as well as adjust subtitle offsets very quickly within Kore. Thanks so much! Edit: Absolutely correct in your answer. After using it more i realized that it does show up eventually and it does seem to be tied to the connection quality.
