Pay to win! Updated, I've been playing this for several months. There is an ad when you login and if you want to spend money there are plenty o ways for you. This is a great co-op game especially if you have friends to play with... Otherwise make brew/new friends Current issue is that the game freezes up while loading the map outside of your fortress

I've played this app since the beginning, and as well as the integration with players in other countries is for me, the lag issues they've struggled controlling..have ruined the gameplay landscape. Beyond that, the ideas and events are cool. Waiting 10-20 seconds for an action to start just doesnt work for me.

for a game where $ is king. This is the one. If you want a game that is fun to play and enjoyable, dont bother unless you have $ to spend. Talking to customer service doesn't help. They dont help unless you have spent lots of $. If it want for that, the game has great individual and team challenges. The general game play is fun. They have recently added neat features.

I have to change my review of this game after sinking roughly a month into it. I will start off by saying it is a well put together game and I like the concepts and the way it plays. Unfortunately I have a large issue with the game that has made it practically unplayable. P2W is crazy, and the people who play with their wallet band together and run most realms. If you want to play this game prepare to spend money just to compete if not I would avoid the waste of time and play something more fun.

I absolutely HATE games that make you go thru the tutorial and not give you the chance to opt out or load your progress. I the game play is fine and the graphics are good. But it lacks originality. I mean it's still fun for the most part but there are dozens of games with similar concepts this just a different theme.

Used to be good a year and half ago. Has become increasingly pay to play with no breaks from constant time consuming events. Massive, horrible bugs that get blamed on individual players rather than their system which lately has led to many people being unable to even log in. No new real content (aside from awful events) leading to people getting bored and quitting. The oldest biggest players are allowed to transfer into smaller realms, causing more people to quit. It's a dying game.

Not only there's the occasional log in issue. But where this game needs the most improvement is *a fair ranking system*. Low city levels are not able to rank in any events. There for less rewards and less to work towards. Until you reach a high city level through months (maybe years) of game play or spending a lot of money then maybe you'll stand a chance against hundreds of other players. Basically you get all the rewards and resources after you finnish leveling and unlocking nearly everything.

I didn't enjoy this game at all. Right away I was accepted into a fairly large and active guild. The daily quests were completed very quickly and I was left with opening all the mail and gifts etc from other players. Sometimes there were well over 200 messages - each one requires several taps. I spent an hour one day just clearing out all the notifications. The prompt kept saying at a higher level there was a 'collect/open all' function - never saw it. Also has tons of loading and laggy bits.

I was going to give this a 2 star for lagging and lack of a city editor and just kinda clunky design. But compared to other games on the market, this one is pretty generous with it's in game currency. But you still have to pay ridiculous amounts($10) to get extra items from events or to even have a 2nd builder. Here's a huge thing: no one needs a 2nd builder. They need a 2nd researcher. This is an annoying problem most of these games have. Otherwise this game is... on par with most others.

2+years of play review: Great for the first month or two. The economy for allies ( how you boost your strength and arguably the most important resource) is on a continuous downwards spiral. They compensate by allowing you to have a bigger army, which requires you to have more at risk when getting zeroed. So it's an escalating risk at no appreciable reward system. They've also introduced harsh pay to win upgrades to the cities. Do not recommend starting this game.

I love this game, and I honestly just wish it loved me back. The lag and constant websocket errors make the game frustrating to play, and the dragon UI is sorely in need of some updates to make late-game play more functional. The community is great though, and the game is fun. I just wish they'd figure out some of the core functionality issues.

The Good.. GFX are cool.. I love the music in the game and how it changes tune when doing certain things. Also the theme is pretty good. The Bad.. It's a Pay to Win game.. It's the same game as all the other kingdom builders with the 99 cent packages and then they all become $99. Slow progress.. upgrade this upgrade that..Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and so on. If you have played those money hording games, it's the same thing with a different skin. Seems all the games are like this cause it is an easy money maker for the developers.

Let me save you some time. This game is trash. They have a bad model for battling, if someone attacks you it doesn't allow you to retaliate unless you find them yourself on the map. There is a system for hiring allies that is just a spam fest, you won't retain one unless you overpay. Then you can't free up gold by dropping them and collecting the fee so you have to wait for someone to buy them. Worst of all I had an occasion where one of my most expensive allies said it was invalid when clicked.

This game is super easy, fun to play, not too technical like a lot of the other strategy games. 6 months ago I'd have given it more stars but the last 2 events have soured me a little. Unless you pay and keep paying it's impossible to take part in some features. I wouldn't mind paying once so much I guess but to pay, then have to pay again just to complete it? Ridiculous. It's gradually become a pay to have any chance of being able to compete game, like so many others. Disappointing.

I liked it a little more than other games of this type, but at the core it's more of the same - including frequent attacks by players you have no hope of fighting back against. It has a cute skin over it, and is unique in what I've played in that it really feels designed for phones, with vertical scroll in the town and other nice designs. It also has really good clan content. The biggest downfall and reason I don't play much is that the app takes several minutes to load every single time.

This is generally a very copy-and-paste game. The visuals are at least somewhat different, but the gameplay and progression are more or less completely identical to other games in this oversaturated genre. After playing this for a while, this just becomes a waiting game with very little to break up the gameplay loop of collect, upgrade, research, and wait.

Pay to win to the extreme. The game itself is great but it's like most other MMO's. The top players spend a fortune (thousands of dollars a month) to be able to completely wipe out your castle. The only way to rebuild your troops once you've been wiped out (aka zeroed), is to either spend huge money to rebuild or wait months and months to rebuild. Either way, there will be always be someone spending 10 x more and you'll just get zeroed again. Toxic game.

He never made it, Boss! In the beginning when I first tried to play I thought it looked pretty sweet, like that classic backyard monsters/clash of clans style I learned to love. ...But all came crashing down when the time came..the time..to download the assessments (or something like that) I noticed it was goin reeeeaaalll slow opposed to my usual 800kb-1.3mb/s download. Restarted the app a couple times, and nothin changed. And don't you tell me "It just takes a while" cause I set my phone down when I saw 7.8% to take a shower, despite my hope, I come back to see that same dull, disappointing 7.8%. Ima keep tryin, but for now, I am not a happy camper.

I only play PvE, and have done for over 5 years now, so as long as I stay shielded this is a fun game. It sure can be a time-suck, though! It's very easy to get caught up trying to finish quests rather than, say, getting ready for work. 😅 Find yourself a clan of overall kind, likeminded folks and you're golden. Might need to set alarms on your phone.

Spinning Wheels of Death Sending 1st March is ok 2nd 3rd 4th getting stuck. Using brew opening chest use idol key upgrade booty using resources checking meta event progress and literally doing anything, you will see the spinning wheel. Basically you had to wait to play. Total bs. Ongoing issue for months now. Everything you do, you have to wait. Map is empty. Cannot see anything. I do not recommend.
