Great gameplay, super fun for all ages. A great addition to the KR series. Updated: After 24 hours, I dropped the review. The game crashed multiple times on my Note 9, causing all progress to be lost. Worse, after $5 for the game, they want another $26 to unlock all the heroes and TOWERS. I get the P2W heroes, but making us pay to unlock all the towers is just awful.

Wonderful game, just like all the rest of them. I have almost every achievement and loved every minute of the grind. However, I'm wondering why there isn't an encyclopedia like in previous games? Replaying levels just to relearn enemies' armor and stats is a real pain. I contacted support back in January and was told it was on the way, but it's been nearly 6 months. I hope it is added soon!

It's a tad harder than previous titles, but enjoyable! I love the twist on the story. It does tend to want to overheat my Samsung S7 phone but I suspect part of that is that I keep it in a leather case. It will kill the battery if I let it. Technical problems aside, if you are a Kingdom Rush fan, this game scratches your tower defense itch! Three champions and a large selection of towers are avaiabile for free. More OP champions/towers are a tad expensive, but I don't buy microtranction options.

always great games from this company. the story is light hearted and fun. the game is very enjoyable with some challenging moments and you don't actually need to spend anything to win. if you choose to pay you get some nice mechanics that add fun to the game (will indeed make the game easier though). i really like the design and the mechanics of the game. overall a great game, hope they keep doing more of those! or expand the game itself! tks!

Ironhide makes some pretty smooth tower defense games that i have enjoyed for years. This one sticks to the same winning formula. However... skill tree is still too meager. Maybe worse in this game than in previous Kingdom Rush variations. It would be nice if they made a game with a [skill tree] where you can vary your experience with new play-throughs. Update: after playing through a few levels, i am finding it is extremely difficult to progress without ingame purchases or A LOT of grinding.

Pretty good, and has a few interesting spins on the kingdom rush formula, but more than any other game in the series this one seems to be willing to waste your time. Rounds are slow even when they're difficult, you get money more slowly so you have less to do and there are unskippable cutscenes too often. Editing my review to remove another star because this new update costs a full 8 dollars it's insane. Miss me with that. Bad game.

The Kingdom Rush series is one of the best series of mobile games out there. I'd go as far to say this series is the gold standard for the Tower Defense genre. My biggest gripe with the latest game here, Vengeance, is how much more they've added to micro transactions than previous games in the series. Like, it's cool we have more and creative towers but to gate them behind $1.99 transactions is ridiculous. Still a fun game and hope they make more.

It was an incredibly addicting game. Until I passed the main campaign, that is. Yes, more levels become available, but to continue without any rewards or advancement seriously detracted my lust for it. I still come back to play it, but that pay wall speed bumps seriously hindered my obsession. I would put five stars, but the fact that there is more content under paywall restriction than not (even though you pay for the game upfront) makes obvious what price gouging the company stands for.

Coming back three years later to update my review. I gotta say that Ive certainly had my fun with this game, trying out all the tower and hero combos on all the challenges. In my original review my main complaint was the lack of bonus content, and now I've got to say that my thirst has been completely quenched. In between all the bonus mini campaigns and the hammer hold dlc, this is probably the largest KR game yet. Iron Hide has really improved and iterated on this wonderfully designed series.

imma give it a 3 stars, would give it a 4 however the game is slightly broken to the point where I have the flag upgrades that destroys enemies when they get close, however countless times, I've watched it kill an enemy before they could even pass the flags, then seconds later the game ends saying defeated when no enemies cross the line as if the game didn't register that enemy dying. it's frustrating to get robbed of a win like that... Also wish I could use more than 1 hero for once.

Awesome game, but what happened to multiple save slots? Having played through each level multiple times, this is my personal favorite out of the kingdom rush series. Love the tower variety. also enjoy how they are releasing content updates fairly often. I'll gladly kick forward a couple extra bucks for microtransactions to support quality products.

Great game, love the lore it has when you have played all the previous kingdom rush games! Has a great level of strategy as you get to pre-battle choose which defensive towers you will use. Great quality art as well, really brings a lot of life to the characters! It's probably one of the only games that I've played where I enjoy spending money to get new heroes, towers, and campaigns (though you will receive basically everything you need to win in game and have tons of fun for free)!

Edited to add: What a disappointment. $7.99 for the 5 hammer hold campaign levels. That's more than the whole game cost to begin with. Another great Ironhide game :-) The difficulty on some of the levels that get unlocked after you finish the campaign is completely over the top. Some of them can only reasonably be completed at the easiest difficulty setting and some of them are just about impossible even at that setting.

Love Kingdom Rush series enough that I got the Hammerhold dlc, I was expecting more than a few levels for dropping $8 on that. Shame cause this one could have been the series best otherwise. I understand why there's a cost, it's the amount that confuses me. The dlc cost double what the game does but only nets you like 4 new levels. If I knew it was $8 for a new hero and four levels I wouldn't have bought it. My fault for not checking beforehand, but man the cost was in no way justified.

Ironhide Games cooked with this one. If you've played any of the other Kingdom Rush games, you know what to expect: Appropriately challenging and charming Tower Defense. Gameplay remains predominantly unchanged, but in addition to unlockable heroes, you can unlock new towers you load can load out for each stage. You can tell how much of an upgrade it is from other Kingdom Rush flavors immediately upon loading into the stage select map in terms of aesthtics, clean animations and UI. Worth the $$

It's a mostly decent gameplay experience. My only issue is that the new Hammerhold campaign is behind a paywall. I'm fine with extra heroes and towers being behind a paywall, that's extra stuff that doesn't prevent you from playing the game if you don't buy it. But putting the new campaign behind a paywall that is at least 2x more expensive than buying the game itself? That's some serious price gouging

First you pay for the game, then you find out that the vast majority of heroes and towers are locked behind a pay wall. These heroes and towers cost as much each as the entire game! Then, after playing 32 maps, you have to pay an additional $6 to finish the game. I expected another lengthy campaign. What do you get for your money? A paltry 5 maps. I understand needing to pay for your game development but this is a sickening cash grab. Decent game play, but my last purchase from Ironhide.

The game is lovely. Plenty of towers and units to unlock. The tech tree is lacking and could do with being expanded. My biggest issue is the way they approached difficulty in this game. The game is made difficult only by giving you more lanes and more exits to defend. That's it. Some lanes have tanks, some have swarms of fast enemies, some have a mix of flying. 2 seconds of not looking and tiny leaks add up over 15 waves. It just feels kinda lazy. Play pass is sometimes worth the money lol.

Great addition to the series. I have all the games and this one is in the top 2 for me. You can tell the UI upgrade from previous games, hope they make more. Not a fan of the evolving option to spend more money on not just heroes but now towers, however I beat the game on veteran with base hero and towers. Only negative is other games showed you which difficulty level you beat. I played the game on Veteran but had to go to normal on a couple levels. Impossible will be hard to track.

Love the Kingdom rush series, and in this one you unlock new towers! One of the coolest features compared to the other games, but there is one Big flaw. Only the 4 base towers get increased range as you level them from 1-4. All the other towers that you unlock from the campaign (or purchase) have a set range at their weakest form. I really wish they operated the same way as the base towers, but still a great game! Also bring back the ability to view what difficultly you complete each level at!
