More About Kingdom: New Lands

In Kingdom: New Lands, you take on the role of a monarch struggling to build your kingdom up from nothing. Explore the lands for resources, recruit loyal subjects, and shore up your defenses — but make haste, for when nightfall comes, a dark and greedy presence awaits…
Kingdom: New Lands provides a welcome yet challenging & strategic experience for newcomers and longtime fans alike. Building upon the award-winning twist on tower defense gameplay and mystery of classic Kingdom, New Lands introduces an abundance of new content to the IGF-nominated title while maintaining the simplicity and depth that legions of monarchs have come to cherish.

Travel to the New Lands and welcome the deluge of new mounts, merchants, and vagrants that call these isles home, but be wary of the new obstacles that threaten your arrival - for not just the greedy creatures block your way, but even the environment itself can defeat you.

Be brave, ruler, and fight to the bitter end, lest these New Lands conquer you instead.

EXPLORE

Traverse the land on horseback to discover all the wealth, secrets, and unlockables that you can use to your advantage.

RECRUIT

Across the land, wandering vagrants await your orders. Spend gold to recruit them as loyal subjects to help build and bolster your kingdom.

BUILD

Do you need sturdier walls, or taller sentry towers? Farming plots or bakeries? As the leader of your people, shape and sustain your kingdom as you see fit.

DEFEND

The wisest of monarchs know that the night brings danger. Make sure you’re safe and well protected from the insidious Greed when the sun sets - if they steal your crown, it’s all over!

STRATEGIZE

Time and gold are both in limited supply. The army of Greed grows stronger with each passing day. The land, while plentiful, can also be harsh. Will you make the right choices of when and where to devote your resources?

I love this game, but I would like the DEV team to update it a bit more like the computer version. At some point, your defense is up to the accuracy of the catapult which isn't the best. I am only on the second island so I don't know how much more improvement you get, but for now I would like the game to add the spearman from the computer version or something else.

One of my favorite trial & error strategy games from consoles, and lends itself perfectly to mobile play style and controls. Been playing this game on and off for years and it always seems to surprise me. When to build what and where to build it and who to train for the situation is key. Highly Recommended!

One star for save issue, it makes the game unplayable. Not to mention the civilians, who take days to walk to the center of camp. This isn't an issue in the late game, when they're at least safe for half the walk, but early in the game when you actually need them (say, because your engineer suicidally ran into the wilderness to chop down a tree and now you have nobody to fix that wall). A few simple tweaks and bug fixes could turn this into an awesome game.

It seems pretty cool, I love the atmosphere and art style, but the touch controls are awful on my pixel 5a running Android 12. I gave up pretty early because I kept spending money I didn't want to when the game kept registering a swipe as a tap - when it registered anything at all. Not sure how much the phone is to blame vs the game. I do have swipe vs tap issues with the phone in general, but I don't have near that much trouble on other games.

For sure the save option works now. The game is extremely interesting. It's got a unique style, like a side scrolling rts. You just gotta figure out how to build and expand while maintaining a good defense. The game is extremely difficult and feels near impossible on the 5th lvl. It is a good challenge. Just buy it

This game is great in many ways, graphics, gameplay, and replay value. But it has some kind of save bug that wipes out your save or forces you to restart from the beginning. It will happen randomly when I save the game and attempt to resume right after. I hope the devs can fix this as I see it's a widespread problem.

I understand the need for a struggle for the game, but I think more diverse ways of gaining gold should be implemented. If it is only one new source, that's still a plus. Early on you don't get much gold from the traveler and his mule. Then if you cut down just one tree near his tent, he just vanishes. I don't understand achievements that challenge you to survive till day 90 and so on when there are not enough ways to get gold. And yes there are rabbits and deer, but in the second level they're virtually extinct it seems.

Sadly, I think I wasted money on this game. It's fun to watch, and is a great idea that is well executed. The pixel graphics are always a plus, and all the animations for interactions with gold is awesome. Unfortunately, the difficulty scaling and lack of replayability are what bring this game down. Not to mention your troops miss every hit, and you spend half your gold repairing walls they failed to defend.

Yes this game is a premium game but what I like is once you buy the game that's it no more extra transactions on top of it, and I also love that you can play as much as you like and not feel guilty about not coming back for a couple days and has a pause and save so can play and stop whenever you like with out it being an inconvenience or punishment. Overall build, expand, find a ship and find a new land and along the way smash a few portals and aquire new mounts and explore. A must have game.

1st run is painful. I only made it 24 days, but you know when things take a turn for the worse and should probably restart instead of riding it out. tips for 1st run. clear trees to expand. expand before building, because the monsters get fast and expanding left ceases to be an option after a while. push defense to the left and expand to the right. Archer stations don't make money, but they don't get destroyed. hope this makes run #1 less painfully slow for others trying it for the first time.

One of the most addicting, simple, strategy games ever!! I play two crowns on Xbox with my friends and this is a whole new ballgame to delve into. Literally anyone can pick this up and have fun with it. The controls are fantastically simple. The gameplay is extremely user-friendly. Anything you don't know about the game you learn by playing. Use your newfound knowledge for future playthroughs. Build, expand, explore!

Absolutely phenomenal game- I bought on steam initially and now I've easily sunk over an hour into the game before even noticing how much time had passed. The concept of the game is relatively straightforward; keep the crown, build up defenses, survive. The game has simple, but beautiful graphics in a pixelated, (maybe) 16-bit style, with an equally impressive soundtrack to back it. I would honestly pay more for this game, and that's (in my opinion) saying quite a lot about a mobile game.

After playing kingdom two crowns and clearing every land and all the challenge lvls I'm very disappointed in this one. I have have yet to finish this one yet but I find it taking very long to do anything. At times it takes almost 2 days in the game for new peasants to make it to pick up a bow or hammer from the table. And my archers spend more time running back and forth then thay do defending the walls. Hopefully there is improvements soon.

The aesthetics of the game are beautiful, these are what first popped out to me. It must have taken painstaking effort to get each pixel right, because it does minimalism wonderfully. The game controls well, I've never experienced any lag or other issues, and it's overall a very fun resource management game. My only issue has been that the greed seem to pick up the pace on attacks a bit too quickly, but that's just me.

Very addicting when you start and learn how to steady your pace when upgrading. The learning curve is a bit rough as I rushed to upgrade without thinking of my repercussions. I had to restart my kingdom and did the exact same thing because I got excited that I past my previous game at even a faster pace. I love the play style and the upgrades. All around an amazing game with it's own style of graphics and gameplay.

Wonderful, but frustrating. This is a game where you learn by failing, and I love that. However, what I don't love is how some of the mechanics work. Lack of destroying buildings, farmers chucking their hoes in the middle of winter (meaning lost $), very chancy archers, rng fails, etc. All of those hamper the experience. Dont get me wrong, I love the difficulty. However, it would be nice if some small changes were made to streamline the experience. Anywho, enjoy.

This is a great game, maybe not worth $9.99, but great non the less. Very interesting, different, and challenging... its kept me busy for hours at a time. The only reason im not rating 5 stars is because of "The save issue." I reached a new level and played for about 3 hours off and on and then hit the "Save and Quit" button. I came back a while later only to find my progress had been deleted and i had to start that level over again. Please fix, its a shame a great game is ruined like that.

an absolutely phenomenal game, with very simple mechanics. the game had been in my wishlist for a long time, so i was thrilled to see the price for the game reduced on mobile. the game is relatively easy to learn, but doesn't hold your hand at all while you learn it. much of the game will be trial and error while you learn the ropes. a typical playthrough of a level will take roughly an hour to an hour and a half, depending on map difficulty. I highly recommend the game to purchase and play

Love the game, but I'm also experiencing the save bug that's common. It seems like the "saving" icon in the corner just appears and never goes away and if I try to save and quit, nothing happens. When I load the game later, all progress since previous save is lost, which can be hours of work. There are no excuses for not resolving a bug that so many of us are experiencing. I wrote the devs and never heard back. Save your money unless they fix the issue.

Okay so first of all, this is one of the best games you could possibly buy on your phone. I love it, it's super fun, the gameplay is great and it's beautiful. I do highly recommend buying it, however there are a couple bugs which the devs hopefully fix. A couple of times my character just randomly started moving left and eventually left the screen. Also, I currently have a save at the beginning of winter which keeps crashing a few minutes into playing. It reverts to a save, so i cannot progress.
