My 3 year old daughter and I both love this app. It has adorable characters, just the right mix of songs/games/interactive features, great learning content, and it lets the kid choose a game over and over again, which is what kids at this age love to do :) My only complaint is with switching to other apps. I don't see the home/back/menu buttons while in the app (I use a Huawei Honor 7x), so I have to press the power button to get out of the app. And when I switch back, the app restarts, not allowing the kid to continue what she was playing.

this is a great app! I would change 1 thing! When my 3 yr old doesnt know how to complete a session or doesnt like it, she will just hit the back button and the the play button again and it changes the session completely. I feel she should learn to work through those problems and not just change them because she feels she cant do. I would EXTREMELY suggest that hitting the play button take them to the last session they were on. and I would give this app a 5 star!

Great app for kids. My son is two years old and has been using it since 20 months. There are songs, stories, and interactive activities. NO ADS!! It's awesome! edited to 4 stars 7/2019 - the app saves progess once you finish a level, but doesnt save progress when it gets toggled to another screen and the app is still running in the background. This is incredibly frustrating when he accidentally pushes the home button and we have to log back into the app and it chooses another level.

Best learning app for children I've found!! My children love it! We love all the books! The kids love being able to choose content from the "library." The learning path is creatively designed. (: The kids love the "gifts"! (: I'm happy we can turn the music off - some apps don't let you mute the music, which can become distracting when trying to learn. The interface is very intuitive! The best part - it's free! My only wish would be for the learning path difficulty to be more customizable. (:

My daughter's almost 18 months but she's obsessed with phones and she will hand them to us when the screen is off to turn it back on. All I really wanted for now was an app she could use where I wouldn't have to worry about her sending messages/changing settings etc. but I figured I'd try to also find one she could actually use properly once she's a bit older. I tried a few of the most popular ones and wasn't too impressed. The Khan one is so much better and she's clearly already learning from it and trying really hard to understand what's going on to use it properly. I don't think it will be long before that happens. I love the wide range of different content on there and it all feels like useful stuff for her to learn about. The music and voices and animations are all great and not annoying like many kids' things can be. We will be getting her a tablet for her 2nd birthday and this is probably the only app it'll have on it.

I love Khan Academy and their mission of free, quality education. As a frequent user of it over the years, I was excited, but hesitant to see their app for children. Most other education apps geared toward children are filled with ads or are limited/extremely basic unless you pay. Khan Academy contains none of that. It's filled with fun, interesting games that are age appropriate. My daughter loves the songs and activities. I like that you can select different levels based on their age, and it's easy enough for her to navigate (she's two, almost three) while my hands are busy doing her hair. Thank you, Khan Academy!

Have this on Both kids' tablets from Christmas. My son started picking up lessons faster than his older sister!!! I've learned that it's basically their learning types but I was really impressed! I agree with some previous reviews about the screen timeouts. It is annoying with the videos but my kids now know it's necessary so it's not a huge deal and they just tap the screen every so often. Only suggestions would be to make it easier for parents to follow progress. Possibly an optional automated email on what they are learning and Progress (like mastered, showing improvement and challenging ratings on the concepts.) Other than that this free version is absolutely amazing and sometimes I feel it's better than ABC Mouse!!

Love this app!! I've spent so much time downloading, trying out, and deleting apps while searching for something appropriate for my toddler to use. I'm impressed and love that it's geared towards learning, as opposed to just mindless play. It has so many different important, and in my opinion, usually untouched (by other apps,) subjects and lessons. It seems that most apps for kids 5 and under only include shapes, colors, or letters and numbers, which is nice, but my child has those mastered already, so I was thrilled to see the range of learning topics covered. Between the content, the lack of ads, easy navigation, I'd say Great job! Keep it up! I'll definitely be recommending this app!

Great content. It keeps the my 4 year old and 2 year old engaged and I do get the sense that they retain some of the concepts being taught. I deducted 1 star only because it's TOO good at keep their attention. It's hard to stop them even when I set screen time limits. They both know how to hit ignore. Suggestion: add an optional feature that provides an end point. That big play button is easy to hit over and over. Maybe they "win" something after a set amount of time, as designate by parents.

My kids (ages 3 and 5) thoroughly enjoy this app. The activities are varied enough to keep them interested but repetitive enough to give them a sense of mastery and success. My 5-year-old can navigate his way through the app without our intervention because of the intuitive interface and helpful audible** prompts. (**Unfortunately, because my kids still can't read, we can't use this app in situations where the device has to remain very quiet/muted... too often, the non-text-based visual cues/instructions don't sufficiently explain the task at hand.) It's a valuable resource for our family. Thanks Khan Academy!!

As much as I love Khan Academy and the lessons in the app, we're not really loving the app itself. I think it would improve the app a lot if there were more options to turn certain sounds off. The sound effects and voices are little repetitive and annoying. Also, every lesson in each section has the same intro and there isn't a way to skip it (that we've found). I think this app is great for younger kids, but I think it could use some improvements for kids older than five.

I downloaded this for my 2 and 4 year olds. They love it! There is so much variety and I never have to buy a new pack of something or tell my kids they can only play on certain unlocked parts because it's all free! My kids love being able to switch between listening to books, watching videos, and playing games. I love that it's all educational, can be tailored to each child's age/level, and that you can link the account to different devices by via login and they can be at the same spot on all devices! Great app!

Highly recommend! Khan Academy Kids has some cool concepts in here such as under and bigger. The lessons/games are not too short or too long. You can select content by age and if you find it too hard or too easy just adjust the age accordingly. It is really nice to have something to occupy my 4 year old that is interactive and productive. Letters, numbers, math, reading, and theory are all categories you can choose from. They also pull from Super Simple Songs which my son is familiar with so that was a fun surprise for him. Thank you Khan Academy for this really great app!

The graphics and voices are great and most of the games are as well. It's wonderful this app is free. But the main flaw is that there isn't a way for parents to customize it so that the child doesn't just skip to the easy bits and the videos with little or no educational value. Khan, please enable a 'locked' feature so the kids can't just back up to the home screen and access the full library or navigate backwards to the not-challenging content.

First of all, I must give my gratitude to the Developers of this app. My child loves it and is learning lots from it. And the Super Simple Songs integrated with the games are really great. But the app tends to have some seriously glitchy behaviours. It often shuts off in mid-game and takes the user to the phone home screen. It freezes at that point for some time with a black screen and when trying to getting back into it, it resets the game so my child loses where the game left off. It's a real test of patience at that age. I have had to restart my phone in order to get it to work again sometimes. On another note, certain things that are required to be either clicked or dragged are placed way to close to the top of the screen, which oftentimes causes my child to activate the slide-in menu from the phone during some games. Also a minor thing, when there's a song involved, there are moments where the song is paused in order to begin an interactive game. But the songs are often paused on odd times. It's really not so crucial but it triggers my OCD to some degree. I would suggest to try to tackle that with a little more finesse :) I realize it's in beta but I hope they pay attention to these things when the time comes to launch the real thing. Other than the things I mentioned, we really love this app!

Not only is it thoughtfully created and structured, but it is free, AND there are NO adds! I could not ask for more! My daughter loves the learning games, and I love how they vary the teaching. For example, if she is learning the letter sound "a", it will have her work on a but also throw in other letters during the same game so she gets a variety and a well rounded review. I am very grateful for this!

My kids love it, and so do I! The content is varied, age-appropriate, and engaging. The only things that could possibly make it better are a way for parents to lock the app so kids can't exit out of it and for it to not reload the app every time you exit or press the home button (which my toddler does by accident a lot). Otherwise, a great app!

My 3 year old is able to navigate the app by himself and he loves exploring it. I love that he is being introduced to various subjects in the library part of the app and I've noticed his vocabulary has increased. The lessons and subjects are curated based on the child's age and I'm amazed that they keep his attention without making him act crazy. I like the style of animation, stop motion and puppetry used in the videos and that I can find most of the songs on YouTube too.

Get it ! This app is great. It's really fun and entertaining for toddlers. It teaches them so many things and also has a read along books section. my 3 yr old loves the books. And has helped her with being more comfortable with using her words. It's given her the little push she needed. And I rather her play with these apps then to be on YouTube and other non-learning apps.

If you're reading the reviews to determine if you should download, you should. Educational (the fun kind), ad-free, a robust offline section, and free - and my 3yrold loves it more than I hoped. He's singing the songs (which means practicing long vowel sounds in the car) and learning how to work technology (tap and drag, menu, etc.). He loves it. I showed him the app one time and the next day he was asking to play his new game. This will be the go-to for long car rides and I won't have to worry!
