definitely the perfect app for key mapping, it works perfectly for mapping anything you want. i used it for my smart-box/mbox, its because i bought a keyboard, but whenever you press the Enter button it sends Dpad-center rather than Enter, here is where keymapper came to help! its really useful. thank you so much for this app, you deserve more than 🌟5 stars🌟

IMO the best key-mapper, with great options. I especially like the intents feature as it allows combining its various actions & filters with 3rd-party-apps' gesture- or automated- triggers. Request: Sorely needs reordering entries (copy+delete to reorganize is no good because the intent-codes get changed). Bug: I uninstalled v2.4.4 without clearing data & now, despite trying fixes, Android System doesn't trigger intents from any higher versions, forcing me to effectively continue using v2.4.4.

Great! Thank you for answering my review, (as other keymapper developers haven't) and i hope this app gets improved in more aspects, and one thing i would like to be added to the app is a feature where you can drag around a circle, that once you activate a physical key that you chose, it clicks on the designated area the circle is at. Hopefully this gets added in future updates, im looking forward to the new keyboard interface aswell. Keep up the good work!

Too Powerful App, i do lots of autoclicking task with it. First its a bit difficult to learn all functions of it. But now it's easy to use. My Problem: When i toggle the homescreen shortcut the app got crash 🥲 Please solve it.

Oh my gosh, I love this. I'm using it with a Miniso Keyboard through Bluetooth and it allows me to remap with SO MUCH freedom and many, many options. Totally recommend it for Android users who know what their doing. Though, I must add that it is very limited by the capabilities of the input device you are using, as many keys of my keyboard are detected with the same keycode (which is 0).

Amazing app. I recently installed a custom ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S9, and while I don't regret it, I did lose some neat features. One of them was the "hard" home button, where if you pressed down hard by the home button it would act as a home button press. What was really neat was turning on the screen with it before unlocking it with. When I switched ROMs I lost that feature and this app restored half of it. If the app could listen for its input while the screen is off it would be perfect.

The app is actually great overall. The only thing that is preventing me from giving it 5 stars is due to the multi presses. I mapped A and S from my bt keyboard as 2 seperate touch/tap screen triggers. However when I press one, key, the other key stops. One example to this is when I am trying to play rhythm games such as Muse Dash, where I need to hold A for example whilst pressing S. When I do that, the hold function of A stops. I hope that multi-touch feature gets added soon. Cheers!

The app is great, it let me add all of the key combinations I normally use to type in windows and also shortcuts for alternating between apps very fast. I wonder if there is support for IME though, I need to write japanese very often but until now the only alternative I have is to switch to another keyboard and lose speed because I cannot use my hotkeys anymore.

When it comes to UI and practicality it is, by far, the best app for remapping on Playstore. There is only a small critic that I would like to give, which is multilingual support: it seems that the keyboard layout is based on the system's language by default; it lacks the option of quickly swapping between language specific keyboard layouts. Implement a "swap language/layout" option and shortcut (maybe add some "slots" that can save custom layouts) and it's easily a 5 star app.

Beautiful. I had trouble with the new update so i downloaded an older version. The app is exactly what I was looking for. And it helped me a lot. I just have a suggestion. To have a / or some floating buttons that can be activated /deactivated by pressing it. I am on mobile and it's hard to switch to my original keyboard to type something and then go back to the app and activate the keymapper keyboard. I'm sorry if this is much but it'd be great if it was real. I reached max letters.Good app:)

Very great app and such a big help to people who connects physical keyboard to be used for the phone, the wide array of actions is amazing. Although I have a suggestion if it would be possible to switch keys eg. When pressing space bar, it presses the backspace key instead. Overall, no issues as of the moment and wonderful app. Thank you for your service

I like it. It is not perfect, for example I cannot get the remaps to only work when a specific app is running, but it is not the end of the world, I just have to manually enable and disable the remap. I wish the app had support for controller d-pads and analogue sticks, but I can understand that they would be harder (or maybe impossible) to program in. Overall, it is a decent app, but it has a few annoying quirks. Those quirks are probably not the fault of the app though, it is probably hard to add on android.

Powerful, and easy to use. Very easy setup, and easy to create key mapping. I was amazed that I could convert a key map on my external keyboard to a screen tap; and that was easy to do using the screenshot option. Now when I hit Esc on my keyboard, it clears my calculator via a screen tap input, instead of exiting the calculator app. If a Carpenter can figure it out, I am sure anyone else can.

Quite good, the UI is attractive and simple, and the app is easy to navigate, however, for the use case I would use it for it's not very useful. What I attempted to use it for was to use a button as a trigger button for Minecraft (pretty lame use I know). However, when holding on a trigger, instead of simulating a hold on whatever I mapped it to, it is a rapid-fire input, so no breaking blocks in Minecraft. Multilanguage keymap redefiner did not have this issue, but it would freeze every minute.

I have a rig to connect my phone and Playstation controller. With this app I can take a photo with a controller button, leaving both hands securely on the controller handles. Fantastic. I'm sure more uses will occur to me going forward! This must be a *wonderful* accessibility app. Someone with low motor control could assign functions to whichever devices work for them! Open source and ad free — thanks for improving life, you beautiful humans!

There are some bugs in the app , but most importantly there is a bug that spams the key if u hold down volume button , for some people it is irritating while for many people like me it's useful , so i request u to give an option in settings where people can select between spaming and normal using. Great App please don't remove the spamming bug (if u do add a spamming feature)

Just want to give a big "Thank You!" for this app. You have turned my daily commute into study time using Anki. I installed your app, and paired it with a bluetooth media button. I really like how you have check marks at the top of the app showing what permissions have been granted (or enabled) and which haven't been given. Anki has keyboard shortcuts I mapped using your app.Initially, I had go into the app settings and switch to Key Mapper Keyboard each time I connected the bluetooth media button. I figured out using your help instructions how to grant permission to Keyboard/Button Mapper to automatically switch to the Key Mapper Keyboard.

I think it's a really cool app, if I had any suggestions I would think it should allow a button to initiate a swipe across a portion of the screen chosen. And also a a button assignment to press one section of the screen, so controllers can be used for apps that don't support controllers. I don't know if it would be hard but I think it's a cool idea. Thanks for all the effort tho. 😊😊

This app fixed an issue that has been plaguing my android phone since I bought it. The lightest tap or movement of my wired headphones would cause my phone to freak out and skip/pause music and randomly adjust the volume up/down. With this app I mapped the "headset button" trigger to "do nothing" and now it's fixed! Any one with the same issue needs to use this app.

One of the best remapping tools I've used, and my personal favorite. Shizuku compatible and easily integrated with Tasker via shortcuts and intents. Ordinarily, I'd rate ★★★★☆ for an app like this, because I reserve 5 star ratings for apps which I have no complaints about. Key Mapper gets 5 from me because, despite all the excellent features, it's 100% free. REALLY free. No restrictions or limitations you have to pay to get rid of, no ads and, most importantly, absolutely no data collected. 🏆
