Great app for a personal business and expenses. Only issue is the one time payment of 30 something dollars to export your expenses, making it a hassle. After the monthly subscription fee, it comes of as customer gauging. Especially when total amounts of expenses are not given to you. If you wanted to figure out any total amounts, you would have to individually enter them yourself. Great idea, terrible idea in forcing people to pay for their end of the year numbers

I received communication and/refund I've experienced unauthorized transaction attempts and did not use the full month subscription that I paid for. I also did not reap benefits from the deductions and credits from the transactions they gathered. I didn't miss anything, you guess literally tried multiple times to withdraw money from accounts and there are other reviews I found stating the same thing happened to them prior. If only I read them before giving any opportunity for you to do it to me.

Continue to have an issue with one credit card that won't stay connected don't have this problem with American Express quickbooks or any other application that is linked to in one instance not only did my financial institution disappear but to other credit cards additionally. Unfortunately keepertax keeps using the same recycled responses and remedies with no meaningful impact or resolution. Outside of that the app and the format is awesome for freelancers independent contractors ect....

This app is fantastic, every independent contractor should use it! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! The ease of use, it literally couldn't be anymore user friendly. Caitlin, messages me pretty much within 24 hours of every purchase to confirm wither or not it was used for 1099 work. A simple response and she adds it to your expenses. Where I really found the amazing benefit was recently at tax time. I filed my taxes through them and it was completely pain free. It took me maybe all of 15 minutes.

looking pretty exciting. I love the videos. I'm looking forward to becoming a tax expert. I'd give 5 stars if I could annotate my purchases. Office Depot, $65, 5/13/23 isn't going to be good enough for an audit. I should be able to type binders, pencils, and pens. My credit card just shows where I spent, it doesn't say what I bought.

I've been trying to figure out answers to 2 specific tax questions for 3 years now. One has to do with Self-employment tax and the other with business meals. When I opened the app and started reading through it's Tax Univ, I almost fell over! I was extremely and pleasantly surprised to find the answers to the 2 tax mysteries that no one could every seem to explain to me! Besides this app having tons of good info, it's super simple to use and way inexpensive! I'm definitely staying with this one!

Once you link up your credit cards and it wont let you disconnect easily. I've closed my account with the app but everything still stays linked to my personal accounts. This is dangerous. Once you close the account, it should disconnect all information. Be careful using this app. Also, the app was useless and found nothing for me to benefit from.

Be Careful, it's "free" until after you input ALL of the necessary info, then when you recieve the dollar amount for a return estimate, you are then prompted to pay yearly, monthly, or free trial. If you click free trial it will automatically have the accounts you entered in previously, just for tax information, as the default payment. It will use whatever account has the most money in it. Be careful.

I had to turn off 2-step authentication for it to connect to my banks/credit cards (temporarily, I turned them back on because this app has been Useless). So that never makes me feel comfortable. Finally get everything linked up, put in my parameters, and it didn't find a single transaction for me to deduct. I have 3 monthly subscriptions I use for my freelance business and Nothing. Guess I'll be looking for another similar app that actually works.

Very effective and simple way to stay organized. The text prompts are useful and not annoying. Did not give the 5th star because it is still unclear to me what exactly I will be paying once the trial ends. I am ok with an annual one time provided it is reasonable. But the app itself works well and importantly, you are prompted for the details for your spouse for those filing jointly. That is a key determinant for what you as a contractor can expense.

Just starting to use this app and so far I am pretty impressed! They really make it easy to figure out what write offs you have and explains the tax world in a simplistic, easy to understand way for us people who aren't familiar with the math and lingo of the game. The app layout and design make it a breeze to navigate through. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because they don't have an "entertainer/performer" category, which I believe, has different expenses that can be written off.

It's incredible to me that Keeper straight up denies you from looking at your estimated tax return after all that filing if you're trying to process it via desktop. The desktop side of their service is extremely bare bones and nearly non-functional, forcing you to try out their app. And the fact they force you to put in your bank information and ask for payment upfront first before even letting you do anything is very concerning.

The app has only scanned back to August 16, 2022 of my bank account. Not sure how to get it to scan the rest. Would be a shame if it only scanned the whole bank account after paying for the app. Also, it automatically assumed all gas station transactions were personal. So now I will need to manually go through hundreds of personal transactions and change them to write-offs since they are work related. Also, app severely lags if you're typing a paragraph to your helper.

No mention of any cost when you're signing up, them after you link all your accounts it suddenly wants an annual fee! Worst of all is they won't let you delete your account until you pay, so now i have to go into all my accounts one by one and find out how to revoke their access!!! You assume there will be a paid upgrade, but if there is no mention of a fee until after an hour of setup, them there should at least be a basic free version. Total fraud!

It is stuck. I have restarted many times and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Every time I open the app it says"while we wait..." "The below details allow you to get an estimate of your tax bill and see exactly how much you're saving with every write-off". This is followed by phone business use percentage and filing status options. The continue button at the bottom is grayed out and it is stuck on this page.

so far so good, I have the premium service my personal assistant is consistently reaching out to me about purchases and where to categorize them, it's nothing over bearing (this is coming from a non texter). saves on time, and they do the taxes. Also the assistant is not a bot, it's a person. I've definitely asked critical questions and have gotten honest answers. Working as an independent business and need an easy way to keep track of write offs and do taxes? This is the app.

I used this service for the previous tax year, I'm currently using it for this tax year, but it may be my last. The only benefit is that it categorizes my purchases easily. But when filling out all my tax forms, they didn't inquire about a lot of things and just filled spaces and checked boxes with assumptions. There were times when I was correcting mistakes that they auto filled in. Lastly, their communication around tax day is awful. I had important questions that were answered days later.

If you have 1099 forms, don't bother with Keeper. They claimed they do them, then went months not bothering helping while saying they were there to help. I finally got a message stating I could request a partial refund on my subscription and was told I'd be hearing from billing. Then a message denying it because it's past the 60 days from signing up. It's not worth the hassle or run around you get. I wish I could give less then a star, but obviously not an option. Lol.

It seems like a great service. My definitely will look into it next year. But unfortunately, the pricing structure is based on you paying for your tax return filling which would make sense if I hadn't already filed my tax return since I did. There's no way I'm going to pay for my next year's tax return, 1 year in advance. I have no way to hold a company accountable for them filing it. They spit out nonsense about terms and conditions that accompanies terms and conditions means nothing nowadays.

I like the app, but it needs to have some customization options to it. My business is a crafting business, and the perdesigned categories dont fit my business needs, but because of its simplitic use, i like it and will deal. Also, it has no suggestion into area or help area or support contact area, so this all sucks. I believe it will be useful, but it definitely isn't worth the money i paid for it. If they fix some of the things i have suggested, it will be a lot nicers and twice as useful.
