Welcome to the Kākāpō Run, a classic endless-runner game in which you explore the wilderness, find the kākāpō and safely bring them to Sanctuary Island. Avoid predators that block your way; knock them out or jump over them to keep the kākāpō out of danger!
To survive from invasive predators, the kākāpō must start running for its life.
To stay alive in this FREE game, players have to run, jump and dodge the different obstacles on their path and knock out or evade predators like rats and stoats, which, alongside dogs and cats, are key threats to the kākāpō and its chicks.

Kākāpō Run is a classic endless-runner game with a feathery hero: the kākāpō. It’s a parrot so large that it can’t fly, with a mating call so deep that it rumbles the floor. It’s the only bird left on Earth with a special distant cousin – the dodo – so we need to save it.
Plenty of dangers confront these “owl-parrots” in the wild … so many, in fact, that the 250-odd remaining kākāpō are on their own protected island in New Zealand. Your mission in Kākāpō Run: get the kākāpō to safety by running across a danger-ridden New Zealand to Sanctuary Island. Hungry stoats are just one of the challenges that face you as you jump, dodge, swipe, and slide through forests, shorelines, and cities.
Don't forget to catch the feathers and score extra points! Along the way, learn about the incredible kākāpō and how they’re being brought back from the edge of extinction.

A nature twist to a fun runner game. I'm a bit obsessed by runner games and this one is pretty great. Love that you get to learn about an endangered species while playing. And who doesn't need positive procrastination in 2020?

Fails to do anything after tutorial - it goes to the level menu but won't proceed when pressing 'next.' Exiting and restarting the app is met with blank page after initial loading screen

Awesome little game and so great for raising awareness for kākāpo conservation which is so little known about. Great concept and would be great to see this sort of innovative idea for other endangered species around the world to try to raise awareness and funding. Perhaps an option to donate to the conservation fund with an unlock option of special features could be a great addition

I read another review about this too. I loved the concept of the game, hence downloaded it. After the tutorial part, the game doesn't work at all. Can't open level 1. Please see through it. Until then, uninstalling the game

A great take on a classic runner game. It's a wholesome game with a great cause behind it. I had no idea that kakapo's were going extinct or that they even existed. It's a cute game that brings awareness to a horrible reality for them. It's great that there are people out there trying to save these animals!

Escape from Extinction as you play as a Kakapo - an endangered flightless green parrot who must run across New Zealand, avoiding hungry rats & weasels to reach a safe haven for her species. This cute endless runner has an adorable protagonist, colorful graphics, and fun gameplay. Plus the game offers facts about the bird during its loading screens and allows donations to save the species. Best of all, they added an endless mode for some arcade action.

Love the idea and the message but as I am not and have never been any good at running games, I would probably speed up extinction with the number of smashes I cause. Tried to use the donate button but couldn't get it to work. Good luck y'all

I really like this game its really fun but maybe you could add a store where you can buy upgrades and things like that with feathers you collect, maybe there already is a store but if there is then it's not very obvious, also maybe on loading screens you could put real pictures of a kakapo so we can see what it looks like but other than that I really like this game it's fun and I like how educational it is👍👍

This game is awesome, there's no ads and you get as many tries as u want The best part is u can help save a very endangered animal in this game. The fact that this game was made for the purpose of saving an amazing creature is absolutely wonderful. It's really fun and you can do something that's just right by donating a little bit to protect this amazing bird. We all probably spend at least $10 on one game. Why not have fun and donate $10 to do something that's just the right thing to do.

Very cute game which is also informative and good. Instead of ads to renew lives it tests your knowledge on the bird which is great! It can be worked on but has great potential- absolutely loved it!

Kãkãpõ run is a very interesting game and kãkãpõ is so cute but, unfortunately it's an under rated game. Kakapos are really cute parrots. Kakapos are critically endangered... So we want more interesting games like this!!!

I love this game it's cute but it crashes so I can't play levels only endless run, uninstalled and reinstalled same thing happened, quite upset so can only give 4 stars or it would be a 5 star rating for sure. Hope this gets an update so its perfect kakapos are beautiful and need our help
