※ Users may allow the following permissions to use the Kakao T service seamlessly. All permissions are divided into two categories – required and optional.
1. Required authority
1) Location is used for setting up pick-up point and destination.
2) Album is used to retrieve saved information about requests.
2. Selective authority
1) Notification is the necessary authority to receive various notifications provided by Kakao T.
2) Mic is used for setting up pick-up point and destination based on voice recognition.
3) Camera is used for recognizing QR codes and customer complaints.
4) Bluetooth is used for connecting a mobile phone and a bike when a customer uses the bike service.
5) Contact will be used as the telephone information when you request a product.
※ Users may use the Kakao T services without granting optional permissions.
※ You can change the access level in mobile phone Settings > App > Kakao T.
※ Kakao T’s permissions are divided into required permissions and optional permissions from Android 6.0 and up. If your device is running a lower version, you are recommended to check with the manufacturer of your device if the OS can be updated and, if yes, update your OS to 6.0 or higher, since you may not choose which optional permissions you will grant. Please also note that permissions granted by the previous version of the app will not be changed even if the OS is updated. Therefore, you must delete the existing app and revergod-install a new one to revergod-set permissions.

A great app. It makes getting taxis very easy but I wish it would send the addresses to the drivers in Korean. My phone is in English so it makes me download the English version (I tried to download the Korean version and it changed it to English). Please give the addresses to the drivers in Korean so they can read it. Ine awesome new feature is to watch your route and to send saftey messages to let people know where you are and where you are going. That's great. Thanks you for that! ♡

App forces you to use Kakaopay and forces you to agree to optional terms. Beyond that, I have had really bad service from many drivers. Many times I have had a request accepted only to be cancelled by the driver after I waited for them to arrive. And I had no way of giving any feedback about the driver when that happened. Also, so many drivers can't read a map. I have had issues with drivers that can't find me even though my location was clearly marked on the in-app map.

I love this app. It's made this aspect of being a foreigner in Korea simpler. I like that I can get a taxi to where I want to go without the frustration of trying to translate or say a Korean address. It's also nice that it's linked to Kakao maps. Once I find a place in Maps, I can click the T button and it will do everything for me. One thing that should change, if I use the app in English, the location name is given to the driver in English. A few won't pick you up because of this.

Terrible app. Screens never load properly so you can never see where your location or car are, making it impossible to order a taxi. You can't add payment methods without having a local phone number, and it is almost impossible to search addresses. Uber not as frequent but at least it's not as buggy as this horrible app so I would recommend sticking to that.

I've experienced this so many times where the drivers called asking me to cancel and the app still charged me with cancellation fee. I came to my surprise that even though the cancellation was unwanted on my end, I still had to pay. And this has happened multiple times. This app could've been a great experience if it hadn't been for this awful experience

Hard to make it work without a Korean phone number. Some screens, especially to sign up are in Korean only as well. At least the SIM cards for foreigners that you can expensively buy in the airport work. But you won't be able to pay by credit card via the app. Only option for non Koreans is pay to the taxi driver... At least you can book the taxi... Frustating how hard for tourists is to try to use these apps and the lack of info about what you can and can't do (and why).

I used this app to book local flights for a group of friends. BIG MISTAKE!!! One person cancelled the trip but I was told I had to cancel for every person in the group (not only for just that person), and rebook the flights. The price of the tickets increased so cancelled and rebooking with fewer people was much more expensive. They refused to refund, switch the flight, or change names of passenger. And the airline won't be able to help at all. Advice: just use the airplane app (website).

It's a good app to navigate around Korea. But at the same time it's very inconvenient for non korean speaker. The driver sent me message in Korean but I have no option to translate it or copy it for external translation. Besides, it's ridiculous i need to have a local number to use my credit card. It would also be better if there is an in app calling option for users who don't have a local phone number. The driver tried to reach out to me several times but failed.

Worst app.. Kept asking me to enter correct verification code even though it's automatically filled in when I received the sms. I tried to manually entered it, still didnt work. Ended up not using the app, very frustrating

Tried to use it to get to the airport railroad, got assigned a super far taxi "because no other taxi is available" and ended up missing the train, even though I had a 10+ minute time buffer. Just bad user experience

1. What is the point of an app if there ARE NO TAXIS AROUND?! Tried to hail a cab in central Seoul on the app for 30mins- nothing. 2. Why must I register email, ARC, serial Nr(this is crazy!), face, to prebook a taxi or call any higher level of taxi blue, van, black etc. or make an advanced booking paid by Credit Card? Korea is blaze on data safety, so do not give it out.

I have tried many times to log in but the app keeps saying the verification code I was sent is invalid. I eventually contacted customer service. They wrote to tell me they cannot help and said I should contact customer service. Do they not see the problem with what they said? Can they really be that bad?

The taxi service made me unnecessary paying for 2 general cars after I requested a venti taxi for 5 people. After trying 2 times, the app suddenly changed my request to the booster type (not really understand its purpose) but with 4 seats available only. That forced me to call 2 cars with the booster fees (not sure why I need to pay extra while there are a dozen general cars around me.

There's a big bug in the app. It's impossible to activate your phone number (when I typed in the code I receive via SMS it says the code is not valid, when I tried with another phone number the activation code never received and then they blocked me for 2 hours because I had too many "incorrect" attempts). And without activating your phone number you can't use the app. So basically the app doesn't work.

I've recently had surgery, so I rely on taxis to get around. What's the point of the booking option if no taxi's will accept it?! Not to mention, the taxi's never show up in the rain! Truly awful. If you can, use uber instead!!

DON'T RELY ON THIS. YOU WILL GET STRANDED. Used this app for the first time to get a cab in the city (which I could have just flagged down myself as usual) to a tourist location many miles away. Once I was done at the tourist location, the app would not let me get a taxi back and I was forced to walk many miles back and eventually a man in a truck gave me a ride while I was walking in the mid day sun, 100°F/38°C heat, on the side of a busy highway. Really bad app. Never use this. DELETED.

It's rare when you can even get a taxi. When you can it's nice. Sometimes I try over an hour and just give up. I know that can be said for taxis on the streets as well, but this is rediculious. Also sometimes drivers go around in circles and opposite directions when you are waiting for pickup. Then if you cancel you can't use the app for 5 minutes. It's nice when it actually works.

I tried to use this app in Korea, but it wouldn't accept my card even though it was one of the supposed accepted foreign credit cards. Then, I couldn't verify my account. Also, whenever I tried to search locations or addresses in English, nothing would pop up, or it would be in Korean. Rarely did it actually translate for me. I could hardly use the app during my trip because of this experience and relied on local friends to help me call taxis to get around.

The app is supposed to allow for reservations, but when I attempted to reserve a taxi an hour after making the request, it instead dispatched someone right away. I was then penalized because I did not want to take a taxi an hour before necessary. It also originally would not let me select a standard taxi. I had to confirm my origin and destination points repeatedly, too.
