On the whole this is an easy to use app. I have docked 2 stars for two issues that make this app painful to use. First the "Profile & Settings" section is not well organized. For months I have looked where to set my home & work phone numbers. The developers have not made finding this setting easy to find. The second issue is when sending a message to a doctor I have lost messages with no indication that anything went wrong.

This app is a mess. At times it won't allow me to open my keyboard or click on things in the app. Sometimes it does either or both, randomly, after having been working just fine for most of a session, making it impossible for me to login, finish booking an appointment, order medication, or try to email my doctor. Booking an appointment is difficult, as the dates aren't very clearly displayed. When it works, it's convenient. But often it's just annoying.

Giving two stars because when this app works it's great, but currently it isn't. I thought maybe it was just an issue with me or my phone, but based on other recent rates it is not, and member services/web support is unable to assist with this issue. I am unable to sign in though the app. I log in on computer and mobile browser without any issues, but there is a "system error" on the app. And just to test, i put in the wrong password and it tells me wrong password.

This used to be such a good app! But now, as an Android user, I can't see the messages from my providers in the app's inbox. The messages are minimized and you have only a slither of a screen to view the messages and you then have to slowly scroll to (attempt to) see them. So frustrating, as messaging is one of the central functions of the app. Please fix this!

Does this app EVER work?!??!! I haven't been able to sign on in months. It's ridiculous. 1.23.22 update - So apparently the problem is the fingerprint sign in feature. So infuriating! If you can't get the feature to work, DON'T OFFER IT AS AN OPTION. Although i can't fathom why you can't get it to work. The technology is not new and hundreds of other companies offer it on their apps with no issues.

This app was working great. For over a month now, my husband and I have both had the same problem with it. It doesn't show you new messages, only a notification that there's a new one in your mailbox. The appointments section has said "error: reload or try again later" for weeks. We've tried uninstalling the app, tried logging in via different smart phones. No luck. What is going on with this thing? Wish they'd fix it because I did like the app before it had all these issues.

Best app ever!! Convenient and easy to schedule your appointments, easy prescription refills with option of mailing it to your address, lab results in minutes, medical records at the tips of your hands and much more! (Edit): the new update is been making the app crash a lot, it doesn't even open correctly anymore, please fix this bug and I will put back the 5 stars. Edit#2 :still having problems, app crashing and closing itself, can't signing with fingerprint mode, slow. Please fix it!

Starts off good but... So when I install the app things work fine. At some point down the road, the app just no longer loads. It just stays stuck in the opening graphic and never loads. This issue has happened to me multiple times over the last year or two. The only fix I've been able to figure out is to uninstall and reinstall the program which is a pain to do each time. I currently have a OnePlus 10 pro phone, so it's a fairly recent device.

It was a very handy app! Some recent changes are making it less so. Limiting functionality in different areas is frustrating. But even worse, now when trying to do chat with a Doc, everytime the chat refreshes it pops your cursor to center of the screen out of the typing window. And when trying to talk with a Dr about medical issues, that's extremely frustrating!

Terrible!!! This app is fine for scheduling appointments but if you want to have any communication with your doctor look elsewhere. The messaging features always throw errors and say I have to select a primary care physician before I can access this feature. But when I go to my home page it shows my primary care clear as day. Been with her for years. From other reviews I've read, it's like they don't want patients to have the ability to communicate with their doctor. Terrible!!!!

Disabling the Android screenshot capability for every page was a stupid and unhelpful idea. Who do you think that decision is helping? It certainly isn't helping me, the customer! I'm leaving this as 1 ⭐️ until this ridiculous feature is disabled. Also, there is no ability to star or tag inbox messages for follow-up. Since I can't take a screenshot, I just have to sift through every message to find the important ones and act on them immediately.

The application's interface flow is chunky. The healthcare notification reminders seem to not interact with records available. There's like four different ways to "chat" with a doctor... none of them are easy to navigate to in the interface. I think there needs to be a survey mechanism, and focus on reducing "clicks" for users seeking care.

Deleted messages seem to occur when tilting foldable phones from landscape to portrait mode. I like that full option choices are given over just symbols. It is difficult to pull out and print out information such as digital vaccination letters which is easier on the computer. The design is not user friendly for older adults that barely know how to use a cellphone.

Worst app ever. Writing a message is difficult because it doesn't function like any other text box on the internet, the keyboard blocks the send button, it doesn't automatically capitalize the start of a sentence for f sake. You'll see you have two messages, but it doesn't show where. Can't screen shot, which would be really helpful. Can't check in for appointments, that has to be be done in a web browser. Payments are a PIA. There's nothing positive I can say about the way the app functions.

The app is full of text boxes that are intended to provide "useful" information but the reality is that they are in the way. Navigation to the intended destination requires endless scrolling past these obstacles. Also, because of all the unnecessary text boxes, the wait time to load can be excessive. Please go back to a functional, no nonsense format.

Really good for viewing everything you need all in one convenient place. It's easy to find what you need to look at. As for the critiques, the app is very slow to load contents, and when viewing test results the page reloads every time you back out from looking at results. Oftentimes content like messages or notifications won't load or even appear. Also desperately needs a dark mode.

I've had the app stop working for me a hand full of times, but this most recent time has been the worst. It's been 2 weeks and I can't can't get past the login screen. The only thing that comes up is a warning that some features are unavailable then it takes me to the website. Now I would use the website, but I need to send a message to my doctor, and the messaging feature isn't working on the website. The website also sometimes blocks me from logging in. People's helth is important kaiser.

I would say the app is barely average. It's functional for the most part, however it's also very awkward and cumbersome, challenging to find some common things & forget about trying to utilize the mobile check-in system. It never forwards to the doctors to the point that they tell me just not to use it. And the app is slow as can be and constantly refreshing during use. I really expect more / better from KP, feels very poorly designed & implemented, like they spared every expense.

Update: Another disappointing encounter with this app. Don't waste your time trying to check in from your phone. I spent 10 minutes and was unsuccessful. Ended up going to the desk downstairs as kiosks were not working. App is slow to load, difficult to navigate, and unintuitive. I get frustrated almost everytime I open it. It's almost always a struggle to do anything meaningful. All that said I am happy Kaiser continues working to make this app better.

Works well most of the time but could use some functionality upgrades. The app would be better if they added a search feature for medical records (the "past visits" section) that allows you to search by keyword, date selection, and provider name. It also needs print and screen capture features. Features such as test results, messages, and past visit information don't always load properly. Even when they do, older visits/results/messages require continuous clicking to load more results.
