This is most definitely the absolute best GBA emulator there is on any phone. Its a lot easier to set up other than most other emulators (just get the file and let the app scan your files for it), its controls are extremely responsive, and the ads are little. You can even play it in portrait/landscape mode, and map out your button layouts for truly the best emulating experience. If you're new to GBA emulation and looking for one on your phone, I highly recommend you try this one. Dueces.

Not a bad layout, but wouldn't discover or open a bunch of my games even though they were the right file type, even if I moved them onto the SD card and followed other instructions. Can't give it too low a score, because it did play several games and worked well with an appropriate number of ads instead of being overwhelming. Especially liked being able to change the size and location of buttons! 3/5, 6/10, does the job if you just want simple gba games

This app is amazing at running GBA games. It's easy to use and the ads aren't as big of a deal as people are making them out to be (you can exit them instantly). I thought the app was laggy, but turns out my phone's just trash. If you experience lag like me, try making sure John GBA is the only app running. Touch controls are kind of tricky, but you can edit them to make the buttons larger. The games sound and look as great as they did on the GBA, and sometimes better! Keep up the great work!

I love this Emulator. For being free it's really high quality. There are plenty of settings, most of them enhancing the game, but some of them just fun to experiment with. I usually play with my PS4 controller which works great with all of the games, especially since you can change the controller input. I love playing these old games I never got to experience. Keep up the great work.

Amazing emulator! I would rate 5 stars, but there are two simple flaws. I play pokemon roms quite often and when you try to trade between 2 different games it doesnt work and closes it out. Apart from that when you try doing fast forward above X4 it gets very laggy and there's a huge frame drop. Other than those 2 flaws it's an overall amazing emulator with good quality.

Great emulator! Works perfectly fine, and the ads aren't intrusive or frustrating. Lots of customization, and a great system for editing where the controls are. One feature i am very happy about is the fact that it scans for games instead of you manually having to search for one. Kudos to the developer, this is a great app!

This emu works pretty well, the ads suck but whatever, I have only 1 issue... the load save state button, no warning before loading. I used saves through the game instead of save states except 1 time on accident. 10 hours into my favorite game, I inadvertently tap the load save state button, and lose everything. Again, the Emulator is good, but there needs to be a warning before the emulator loads a save state.

Ads are actually every where you look it is annoying trying to play a game but switch out to look at a quick walkthrough(because all the RPGs I play are too hard and how am I supposed to remember every single person!?) then ads. Then I try to speed up x2, but the banner gets in the way and on my opinion, I hate it. Most of the time the ad x out button doesn't even appear! But it runs amazingly well, so yes.

Great, no-fuss emulator. Easily finds games, minimal problems with romhacks, easy to use save/load with multiple slots, speedup, and other perks. Only real flaw is a certain lack of dexterity with the touchscreen D-pad that makes certain games much more difficult/impossible, but that's a hardware limitation, so it gets a pass. Very reasonable ads, you're never stick watching 30 second+ adds, and the ads are never louder than the game.

It is fantastic! I've only been playing for about an hour now and from previous reviews and my own experience this game emulator is the real deal and works fantastically. Download a rom like you would for a computer emulator and it pulls it up automatically. Sound works great, no lag even for a very full phone, no ads from what I saw AND it tells you your time and battery percentage of your phone on the bottom so you have constant emersion without having to swipe down to see the time!

I have used this emulator ALOT, and for a free emulator, it is FABULOUS! Firstly, the ads are not so intrusive and annoying! That makes the game actually playable and puts the game in the highest quality possible! Second, the fact that you can speed gameplay is very helpful! When I play Pokèmon, I end up getting in LOTS of battles which is annoying. However thanks to the speed up feature I can play faster! This is just amazing!

Feb 2024 Runs perfect as intended, booted up my games and everything looks and runs smoothly, cool customization options for the UI at your disposal, set up at the beginning was really easy with a easy step by step guide to help you run it, and ads are well placed and fast to skip no problem here at all keep it all up, well done highly recommend!!

It's a good emulator, was hard to figure out how to get widescreen/landscape mode at first but got it eventually. My only issue is that moving buttons around when customizing settings is to touch sensitive. For some reason the A & B buttons pressed together function doesn't work on landscape or at least when set to very small. Portrait mode hurts my hand some & the screen is to small so I hope the issue is fixed. Ads are also annoying as they come up EVERY time I click the menu. I can deal with a few but t it's annoying to see every time I try to fix my button options. Despite this it's not enough to make me uninstall this. Besides my issue, it's perfect. I can finally play a good Harvest Moon game on the go again.

Overall this app works great. It plays my games well, it has save states, and it works perfectly. But there is one problem with most emulators like this. I was playing legend of Zelda the minish cap and I was on the last dungeon before the final boss. Every time I try to enter the next room it crashes. And I mean EVERY time. I've tried multiple ways to try to fix it. Deleting saves, deleting other games, but it won't stop crashing. So basically I'm stuck in a room right before the final boss.

This works flawlessly for me. The ads aren't a problem, since they only show up when you leave the app, and the controls are great for the most part. There's basically no lag either, and the fast foward skips tedious moments, so it makes for an outstanding experience. If you want to play GBA games on the go, with more quality of life improvements, I'd absolutely reccomend this.

One of the best out there. Great haptic feedback, very little lag, speed up options up to 16x! There is literally nothing more an emulator needs. The ads aren't as bad as people say, mostly just small banner ads at the bottom and a skippable ad everytime you switch to another app. In all my time using this, it's only crashed twice, both times I was using over x4 speed (let's be honest, all emulators struggle with that). And the quick and auto save are extremely helpful. All in all a solid app.

The smoothest GBA emulator on the play store! I have used this emulator for months now and I have never experienced any lag, even if I use 2x speed mode (which is a great feature)! Along with that, it automatically finds your game, no file sifting required! And it saves your game, no matter where you are in game. Along with that, the options are easily accessible, and changing the layout to suit your needs is simple and easy. The ads aren't even annoying, either! Amazing app!

This app functions pretty nicely, with a number of easy-to-use features - the L and R buttons can be difficult to use in most situations, but that's the price for using a mobile emulator. The advertisements have gotten a tad bit more invasive over the years. Opening the in-game emulator settings will only work properly half the time in favor of showing another ad. There's been the rare occasion of a full-screen ad popping in during normal gameplay, as well. Good app, but disable wifi to use.

A decently solid emulator with good functionality, but the ads hold it back greatly. Having to sit through multiple very loud video ads while just trying to adjust settings is a needless problem this emulator suffers from. A change to silent banner ads in the main menu would be a far better method. Also beware of occasional random crashes.

I turn it down and play the game. There is a feature to enable the sound so you can turn it off and play own tunes. Save files rarely crash. If you phone is about to die or shuts off. This app does it all very much so. If there isn't a controller compatibility there should be. Turn the volume down before you save and the ad pops up. You can play controller passing multiplayer games like Monopoly or virtually any gba file.
