Ad-zilla. I remember when this game wasn't riddled with pop-up adds. Sure, it had ads, but not ones that interrupted gameplay to a non skipable ad. It's infuriating and disruptive to the gameplay. I get it, they have to make money off the game, but the game hasn't changed since it's release. Nothing new to rave about to start adding pop-up ads.

I have never personally played the game, but my girlfriend plays it almost compulsively. I am basing this review on the Amazing Customer Service provided by the company. My girlfriend had been playing for months on a guest account on accident, without noticing, and she accidentally pressed Uninstall instead of Update when she was trying to update the game. All progress she'd made was lost, and that could have easily been the end of it, but customer support went above and beyond to help.

This game now works and I still have all my old purchases! Very happy to be able to play this game again. A few of my favorite things: the missions, the gadgets, and the amount of character and machine customization. I think the biggest area of improvement would be to get the events to consistently work - right now the Back to the Future event is a little wonky, with disappearing character/vehicles.

As good a time as ever to review this game...to start off it's just a classic runner, my personal favorite. The gameplay and mechanic work well, it's fun and infinitely replayable. The variety of costumes/jetpacks are a joy to behold, the vehicles are fun to use and diverse. The different events are always great to see and along with S.A.M they give you a reason to always come back for more. I've been playing for this for years now and I definitely could play it for years to come.

Same story as many others...game was getting a bit laggy so I uninstalled/reinstalled like I've done before with no trouble. Then all of my six years of progress vanished. At this moment my old phone has most of my progress and purchases restored--4.5M coins and 100 levels of progress are lost, apparently, along with several SAM skins that took a lot of work to earn--but my current phone isn't syncing up with even that and still treats me like a new player. Not good at all, Halfbrick!

Definitely love this game through and through, and I've gotten back into it recently having played it as a kid. I've been making a lot of progress but recently it's started crashing every time I try to open the app. I get like 3 seconds of loading screen and then it closes. Idk what happened but it's kinda disheartening and I'm afraid to uninstall and lose all my progress when I reinstall to get it to work again. Keep up the good work on this timeless masterpiece tho

I've been playing this game on and off for 8 years, and it's always fun to come back to. The addition of the power ups, and watching ads for more.gold or to skip missions is very welcome. Onky issue is when doing a cover a distance on foot mission comes up, it won't register the first time, and you have to play again to get it to count

Timeless game. The gameplay is enjoyable, there are personal goals you can set such as reaching a level, unlocking certain jetpacks/costumes, or getting higher scores. These keep the game addictive and give a feeling of progress. Although the game doesn't really have any new "content" added to it outside of cosmetic stuff, I do think it's well maintained. My only complaint is that my coin doubler that I purchased years ago isn't active anymore and I can't seem to get it back.

Great game. Ads are not too intrusive (even if you get one every time you die). There is a problem, however. Some ads show up bigger than the device's screen, putting the Close button offscreen. This means that the only way to dismiss the ad is closing and reopening the game. This is highly inconvenient and annoying. I don't know if this is on Halfbrick's side or the ads provider's side, but this should be fixed. If it is intentional, then it's a terrible design choice.

It's a classic and wonderful game that I believe everyone, with access, should play, if they haven't already. Ads are always a given when it comes to free mobile games. Though, I dont like that fact that you have the choice to watch an ad to double your coins, or similar small boosts, and after refusing or skipping, it plays an ad reguardless. This is the only downside, in my opinion, otherwise great game.

Always a great time as it used to be. Although, it does feel like its a bit ad heavy and overselling itself. Its cramoed with ads now and full of things you have to pay money to have. I could've sworn the third gadget slot used to be free, but maybe I just remember wrong. Either way, still memorable and fun, and the humor in the descriptions of most items are fantastic

It is a great game and I do understand that ads help fund the game to make it free for users. With that said, it is frustrating that after every run an ad plays. When you're in the zone and want to focus on the challenges, you get distracted. An ad after 3 runs wouldn't be so bad. Or the option of getting items after watching the ad. There is already the option in game where you can watch an ad and receive an item. I believe there is an option where you buy in game currency and ads disappear.

I love this game don't get me wrong. But there is one HUGE problem. TOO MANY DAMN ADS. Literally after EVERY run it gives me the choice of watching an ad or buying a no ads version. I don't mind watching ads to get a bonus or after every few runs. But after EVERY run is incredibly frustrating and I'm tempted to just stop playing in all honesty. Edit: Changing to 2 stars and uninstalling. What a greedy game.

No longer worth five stars. The game itself is, but the fact that it has gone to an ad driven monstrosity from the old way of only watching ads for rewards has lowered it. Hate to see that the developers have gone with the trend of forced ads for a cash grab. Not to mention that certain powerups and dynamics of the game have changed as well, and not for the better. Should have just left it alone as it was years ago, but nope...

This game has the cherry tip of nostalgia for me, playing it on my sister's old tablet when we were real young, and it still holds up. However, there are a ton of advertisements, so much so that it can be challenging to navigate menus through the game. The game also is incredibly challenging to get far in, gaining immense speed quickly, but I suppose that's just how it's always been. Not a critique exactly, but just an observation. Otherwise, I still really enjoy this game, long after those days

Only critizisms is that the turbo boost gadget interfers the effects of the coin dash and rocket time powerups. For coin dash, the boost can sometimes boost me too far ahead of the coins, missing a huge chunk of them. For rocket time, the boost gets rid of the rockets and vehicles. If the boost gadget were to be changed to fly off when picking up a powerup, similarly to how it does when you get a vehicle, that would be a lot better. Other than that, the game's just as good as it was in 2011!

I like the game a lot, but I have an AWESOME idea for you guys: for the third slot to have an extra gadget, once you buy every single thing and upgrade all of the power-ups in the game, it will cost instead of $4.99 to either $2.99 or for free, depending on how many badges you have at the time of when you unlock everything. This will also be a little secret, so nobody will know unless they look at the the third gadget icon and figure out that there's a discount there. Please reply back to me after reading this review and I hope you like my idea!

🔥The games is REALLY good and is such a classic mobile game!🔥 However, I am experiencing a bug in the game that makes the game freeze randomly. This is really annoying when I am getting a good score and it just freezes. I noticed that it usually happens when I get a machine block in a run, then it freezes. Maybe that's something🤔 Please fix this and it will be 5 stars👍

The game used to be great, a staple of many a childhood. However, they have fully given into greed. One example being one of the challenges is to purchase something from the store, and every item requires real money. I understand microtransactions are essential for free games, but turning them into a challenge is not the way to go.

Jetpack Joyride was a staple of my early childhood. Now that I'm playing it 13 years later, it still has that original feel to it; a nostalgic feel. However, there are quite a few bugs; visual glitches, laggy performance, and delayed input. I know these problems are not the result of my phone, but possibly the hardware itself is much too advanced for the game to handle. The only reason why I didn't put this at one star is because I enjoyed hearing the theme again, and because I missed it.
