I really like the game play , I find the set up intresting and they give you tid bits of info along the way about the time period surrounding 1887 Britain . Sadly all of the commercials I watch for the crowns pause , making it impossible to play . Some pause for about 2 minutes then play , my clicks going un registered , others pause indefinitely and I have to close out of the app to un freeze the game . I don't have this problem with other apps pausing commercials - it's ruining the game play .

Had my bias about the game at first because it's related to Jekyll and Hyde, but it got dull quickly. Devs are also greedy. Additional cases are expensive but doesn't provide any additional interesting details. Don't like the idea of paying for every case when the puzzles aren't at all challenging and the gameplay is lacking. They also intentionally ruin the artwork parts when you don't buy. Instead of just ending the scene, they put a text card telling you to buy it at the end.

this game is beautiful , the music and some sounds cues are beautiful it really does help fit the aesthetic of the game. the puzzles aren't to difficult and the side quests are able to be seen without payment. the story telling is great and I love the other perspectives however I wish that some date cards are changed "1 weeks later " or "1 years later" makes no sense other then that I live the art , music, and story

Something is telling me to rate this game even lower but due to my experiences, I choose to rate it three stars. It was very fun and interesting at first, I enjoyed the story and I didn't mind watching ads every so often. The daily ads come of great usage to save your money but as I got deeper into the game the developers become more greedy, asking for more coins for short parts of the story, just to ask for even more later. It annoys me, that the potential this game had fell to greed.

It really reminded me of Don't Starve with the graphics and it was really enjoyable! The sprites are lovely as is the character art. The art is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! It's what caught my eye on the first place! The gameplay is easy to figure out and the tutorial helped. I have a theory about the ending, even without playing that extra cases, but I won't say it here so I don't spoil anything but it's genius! Phenomenal story!!!

Game moves along pretty slow and isn't very challenging but the story is enough to keep you playing. Silver or gold is needed to open chapters and the only way I came across to earn any is to watch ads. And of course there's a limit to the number of ads you can watch. If there aren't going to be coins rewarded at the end of levels for advancing, there should be ways to earn money during gameplay.

An excellent game that blends good story telling in with fun gameplay. The art and music are beautiful, the plot engaging, and all in all just a great experience. It's possible to progress in the story without buying anything and watching ads can earn currency to unlock extra chapters. The ads are no more than 30 seconds long and it's a small price to pay for the content you get in return.

Very Detailed Story, amazing art and awesome puzzles. The story is clear and holds a lot of fun and interesting aspects people over look in the stories. They give light to the mental trauma that the doctor had gone through with the whole experience. I love this especially since the controls are pretty easy, the characters are all lovable in there own way and once you start the game, you can't seem to want to put it down. I would highly recommend this game to friends and family. 😁

Excellent game, wonderful adaptation of the story, not only well translated to a game, but also to its modern audience. The London Files do an excellent job of providing context and explanations for the world and time in which the story is set. Its clear the creators wanted the player to be able to fully enjoy the experience, and they certainly achieved that. I completed the full story in a few days, including purchased options, for free by watching ads. Overall, feels true to gothic horror.

I only played for about thirty minutes but it was really slow and too stocked with tutorials to feel like I was getting anywhere. I felt the dialogue of the characters was repetitive and silly at times. The UI was very nice and the graphics were pretty though and I appreciate the work with sound effects. Maybe I'll try again once Phantom of the Opera is out.

I can't even get through the first part without the game freezing and crashing. I meet the pinkish haired guy, go walking with him, get halfway down the first street with him and it freezes every time. It only happens after I start walking with him, not before when I can walk the street alone before talking to him. Once I get out of it and go back in, the loading screen is black until it eventually crashes. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and it does it every single time!

This was a really good game. I just wish there was no exclusive pictures that you were only allowed to see if you basically payed for them. Also I wish you had more free, open world choices. Kinda like RPG games that effect the story in different ways. Besides that the game was wonderful and the ending was shocking but amazing. The whole story itself was suspenseful, but it was very interesting and helped me pass the time a lot quicker some days. Keep making cool games!

While being a poor broke person means I have to watch lots of ads in order to unlock cases and artwork, I feel like everything else more than makes up for that! I appreciate how true to the original the story is so far, even with the original flair. The artstyle is very fitting, and the soundtrack adds so much to the experience! Plus all the trivia, I love that so much as a trivia nut!

It's a story game, not an idle thing. Dialogue is great, portraits and backgrounds are detailed and pretty, plus they warn you of certain sound effects that might scare you, like scream here and there. Can be pretty loud. I'm not sure, but I think if you buy the game, you get full access, without needing any of the coins to play. It's what it seems like. I got it for 8 something dollars, which is pretty cheap. Similarly priced games on steam can be of a worse quality. This is good stuff.

I'm not finished with this game yet. The art is lovely, but the gameplay is somewhat dull. You get prompts to click on certain things in the environment or talk to people, and you do those things. Even if it gives you dialogue options, you end up selecting both anyway in my experience so far. Might as well not even have the option. This game has the difficulty and the artistry of a picture book. Not complex in any way but very nice to look at.

just got into it and the first few cases and it's really great for a mobile game. with an interesting style, and good story telling. it is a bit anoyying that, as most mobile games do, it falls into the... pay to play category, where you get to the point where repeatedly have to spend money on coins to continue, or get all the story, which is very tragic for a game that has so much potential, and good aspects of it.

This should not be available as a free game. You have to pay to see things that are part of cases, you can't start cases (including the main case) until you've watched at least five ads. I uninstalled after that never getting to start the main mission, so not sure how many after. Just charge for your game or make it playable with ads. The little story I did see wasn't challenging or advanced. I really enjoyed all the Victorian era facts you discovered or popped up, kind of like Valiant Hearts.

I downloaded this game around December, and it was great! i uninstalled it because i completed everything, and recently redownloaded it. The improvements on this game are great! Case intro cards, golden crowns with ads, it's amazing. I don't get why it DOSEN'T ave a perfect 5 star rating. The one thing I don't like however would be removing the ability to purchase cases with silver crowns. I do understand it though, as golden crowns are now free. Other than that, it's amazing. 100/10

Great game, illustrations, and story.Although, you could already see where some of the story is going, it was great nevertheless. Adding in extras like dialogue and context was nice! Allowing people like me finish the game without paying for the rest of it is amazing. So many game apps want you to give your money just to see the finish. It's always unfair to do that to others. I'm glad I was allowed to play the game without extra purchases. I also thank you for giving samples as well.

The game is incredible, I love the graphics and audio and all the puzzles. It does express being able to be completed free with watching ads but it never allows me to watch more than own or two, and you have to watch at least 6 a day to get any of the gold coins so that's kind of frustrating to get stuck anyway.
