Too many glitches and I didn't receive credit from the coupons I used. The tracking is horrible! It also crashes and doesn't respond. Update February 2020: There are still major issues with this app that haven't been fixed. Now the size charts won't open at all. The shipping is a joke. It shouldn't take so long to put orders together and get them shipped out!

Navigating the items for shopping is clunky. Also, it wouldn't allow me to complete the order bc I added another payment method, but it wouldn't give me the option of selecting it at checkout. Another thing that I didn't like is that, after turning off location services, it prompted me to turn them back on after EVERY screen change. So I've uninstalled the app.

Id give this issues no stars, but i have to use at least 1 star to write this review. All of a sudden, my logins or passwords don't work. How is that when i have the fingerprint feature turned on? This is very frustrating when you can't login to pay your bill. Our technology is far too advanced as a society for these types of issues to be happening. Please fix the issue that says my user ID and password are not found! 😡

App is too laggy to use. I've been doing troubleshooting and still won't work. Once I think it is loaded, it thinks I click something else and it loads that page instead. If I want to shop, I have to use the website on my computer which is redundant at this point. I am not sure what the issue is since my phone is new and no other app has this problem. It is extremely frustrating.

It's an easy app to navigate and shop on. I have one gripe, sometimes an item shows as, "available in-store" then it's not. This happens, however, they don't then resort to shipping the item to me instead. When the item isn't available in-store after all, don't cancel item all together! Ship it! I could have a shipment coming already, and they still don't offer. Fix this issue of online shopping and it's definitely a 5⭐ shopping experience. They have all nice things I shop for, me and teen boys!

It was a little slow at first. Need to fix the problem with the coupons so you can just have the cashier scan them from the phone instead of printing them out. But other wise loved the app and the coupons :) I dislike that you have to put in your location when searching for things as it keeps popping up every time you click on a item.

Lots of bugs. I love JCPenny but this app is a major disappointment. No matter what I click on, search bar, items, reviews, etc. it takes 2-3 minutes to load. If it ever even loads. It is constantly lagging, sometimes I scroll to the bottom of one page and when I click on an item it takes me to a completely different item. And the app freezes 5-10 times upon every time I use it. And no it is not my wifi or my phone. It's is the same quality on all devices and in all places. Please fix this.

relatively user friendly, but a lot of times now, since it got changed, I get kicked out of the app repeatedly, out of the blue, saying my session is timed out. This causes me to constantly have to log back in. Also, regarding the mobile app, you can't see the products very well at all. The pictures are dull and dark. A lot of times if you try to click on them to make them bigger, it comes up a blank screen. Also.. I'm finding a lot of prices are different than advertised on the thumb nails. It will give you a price, but when you click on the actual item, it's MORE. Then I try to place orders, and half the time it makes me have to keep re-entering my card number. Why bother having the app at all at this point? Also, ONE TIME I shipped a gift to a friend's address, and then I went to order again for myself, about a month or so later, and even though I deleted her address, it sent MY order to HER address.. I'm not half as happy with this app as I was before all the changes. That's why my ordering has slowed to a crawl. Sorry Jcpenny..

Terrible. I had an account for years, but couldn't bring it up. I tried resetting the password & it took me to numerous pages. I then attempted to reinstall, but it states I already have an account. Just prior to all of rhis I received a notice I had a $10 reward, but after accessing the account NO rewards are shown. I've just wasted 45 minutes in the parking lot on this nonsense!!!

Update: OK, I rated this app 2 stars just about a month ago, but since then it has totally hit rock-bottom. Items in my bag are there, but when I click on the icon, a message appears saying my bag us empty. My 30 saved favorite items have now disappeared. I apply a coupon code to my cart and it's gone 2 minutes later. I wrote a long message to the app developer (after being asked to do so) describing these issues, even taking extra time to attach screenshots, but got no response whatsoever.

Terrible app, would always go to offline mode and randomly shut down. When adding items to cart one click would add seven of each item, wrong size too. Advertised prices and specials never applied even once added to the cart and all but checked out. Could not even use app to pay credit card bill, would have to go in a browser to the full website. It's a nightmare that I deleted today. No regrets.

This app used to be fantastic, but now it's awful! It's slow and has terrible, frustrating glitches. Even after loading pages at dial-up speed, it won't open the correct item that was clicked. I've uninstalled and reinstalled more than once, but the issues persist. I hope the developer fixes the issues ASAP, but until then I'm shopping with another online retailer.

Oh its fairly easy to find an item and make a purchase. But good luck if you choose ship to store getting notified when its ready for pickup. I had two separate orders that said "in transit" and finally did some digging and low and behold they were sitting there waiting for pickup. And yes all my notifications are turned on, sound, vibration the whole gammit. Doesnt happen all the time, just hit and miss. Good luck!

This app is great when it works properly. I love having access to my points and credit card account in one place! I like how I can also easily view the weekly ads and coupons for deals. The app stops working often for me and is frustrating when I've set filters and sorted a certain category to narrow my search. I'm going to reinstall the app and hope this issue improves. If not, I will pursue with using the website only. I wish the website did not take you directly to the app.

I've found that store sale prices are sometimes less than online so sometimes it's worth making the trip when I'm buying a lot. I like the app except you can't view the details of an item you ordered or order it again. You have to search for that item if you want to purchase it a second time. Tracking your delivery is best done through the courier's app (UPS). I prefer the convenience of shopping online especially during the holidays. I've used the app often and don't run into any problems.

I use this app quite often. I'd rate it 5 stars if I were ever able to save items to My Favorites; whenever attempting, it says I have too many items in my list, but I don't have any! I am neither able to create new lists no matter which available way. Also frustrating: sometimes item photos can be enlarged; too often not. This app would be superb if these issues were fixed! It's clean, easy to navigate, and otherwise smooth.

Love this app! It is so easy to use and save the most money possible. It works great, never crashes and has a user friendly design I love. It gives access to your orders and your point total but it is missing two key things for me and that is that it never allows me to track order from within app. It always shows "in transit" but nothing more AND it gives me my point total but not a history where I can view all my points transactions and make sure it's correct. Otherwise great app

I love shopping online. There is a larger variety of sizes, colors, styles and discounts than in the store but the app is super slow it gets frustrating browsing around. Pages take forever to load, pushing the back button takes forever, lags, glitches just frustrating. If you already know what you want its fine for the most part. I like being able to see my rewards status but I've also had issues with the rewards as well and have missed out on several $10 rewards.

I always order through the app and I never have any problems. Same great service and speed. The app is so easy to navigate through. 4/22/22 I don't like the new updates. The app freezes up more often and it's not as easy as before to browse and select items to view because its always loading/buffering now. That's very frustrating when I'm in the middle of placing an order. I didn't have this problem before. 😕

Worst app ever. Very difficult to scroll down. Hardly ever can make it through to your bag to complete an order if you ever get that far. Too many spinning circles. Edit: 1/29/2024 I haven't ordered anything from JCPenny for a very long time. It's a shame as I've always liked their products and sales. I gave the App a try after each update to see if there would be any improvement but there wasn't. I can order from other stores online with no problem at all so it's not my phone.
