I have an S20 Ultra and Windows based laptop and the quality with the iVCam app and software is actually quit outstanding and getting it all synced up was a breeze. Tons of settings and I assume even more tweaks with the full purchased package. I have been trying to buy a decent webcam for the past few months with no luck or found cams but scammers are selling 40 buck cams for hundreds of dollars in this crazy time, so I thought I would give this a try. Works perfectly with Zoom.

This app is great to accomplish your main goal of getting a high quality image webcam feed to your PC. It's relatively simple to set up, and fairly straightforward to navigate the settings for. Two features that would make it perfect: Allow the desktop client to focus the camera Allow the device to sleep thee screen to save power/heat (as usually people are using their old devices for this, and prevent accidentally focusing or swiping to change ISO/exposure.

What a Amazing Software! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS I dropped $25 because I think the developers deserved it and would use it for future Updates! I have been using IVCam for about 2-3 months and the biggest thing that people gotta remember is that when you use WiFi for Connection vs Hard Wiring/Plugging the phone into the computer, depending on your WiFi Connection if its good or not, you might experience lag but when you hard wire/plug the phone in there is 0 lag on there and the computer!

No external microphone in the PC client?? I love it, it makes perfect use of your phone for a webcam completely eliminating the cost of a real one. In fact, this app can give you a $600 webcam at the price of $10, depending on your phone. The only problem however, is the fact that you can't seemingly use an external microphone in the PC client software recorder. If there's a way to do it I'd love to know. It's the only thing holding me back from purchasing the full license.

Looks VERY promising BUT never able to make it work with my LG G6 either audio or video, my Win10Pro high performance PC, or Zoom. Quite a mess until I got so sick of it I couldn't stand it any longer. I sent an email in May & got very little focused help. Then I let myself get sucked in & bought one of their upgrades. Bad move. Emailed for more help & refund. Zero response after MANY weeks. Their focus is money, but, they sure don't like to give it back or help solve problems. VERY upset!!!

Keeps shutting down on my android phone. Showing adds after purchasing. So far it seems to work better on my iPhone but, I don't think I trust it enough to use for an upcoming seminar. Even trying to download it onto my laptop, it's I'm guessing game on what you should click on. Says I need to update to the latest version on my laptop but, I I'm unable to locate the update. I suggest you save the 25 bucks for the lifetime membership and find a more professional solution.

I purchased the 9.99 version of this app. At the time of purchase it mentioned nothing of 1 year subscription. Now it is limited to a subscription model of $10 a year. It has been less than 1 year and the app is completely locked down now. I can't adjust lighting etc., there is a watermark, and the company has completely ignored any attempts to contact them via their website. Do not purchase this app. I don't know if there is better software out there, but these guys are shady.

Great camera controls once it's connected, but I want to be able to turn it on and off from my computer without having to tap anything on the phone, which I have set up in a mount and don't want to have to reconnect and reposition each time I use it. Iriun has that option, but zero camera controls. If iVCam had a no-interaction always-on mode, it would be perfect.

Well.... been using the app flawlessly until the recent update! I paid for the service and loved it! After the update, nothing worked! Then found out, I had to pay more for the exact same service I've had for while.. only $2 more so i upgraded , still wont work! Ruined my business meeting I had scheduled! Can't adjust the focus what so ever! Can't turn on or off auto focus nor manually adjust any focus feature. FIX YOUR PROBLEMS!!! Refund.. it's an app issue!! NO it's not locked, it's grayd out!

This camera works and works well! Great user interface, which is much more than I can say for competing apps. Good video quality. Lots of options in the free version too! They don't force you to pay unless you need special (unusual) features. Battery consumption isn't outrageous. Permissions aren't outrageous either. My one suggestion would be to have an option to turn on the phone's notification LED when the camera is activated. That would make me feel safer that nobody was using my camera from elsewhere and spying on me. Also, you should do a one-time pop-up on Android installs to tell them to enable USB debugging if they want to use the phone over USB. Overall, a great app! Good job devs, keep up the good work!

Update: I paid for yearly subscription and it's just gone now. It is by far the best app in the market. No flicker, no buffering. Easy to use. Just use with usb debugging. Works instantly. For 10 bucks a year it's a no brainer. One thing I'd loved is if there was a contrast setting. And exposure lock. There's brightness Option but no exposure. Also for some reason I can't blur my camera. The blur option seems disabled, can you help ?

I found DroidCam first and had lag issues (about a half-second of video lag) that I couldn't resolve. Just by luck, I saw a random recommendation in a forum for iVCam, gave it a try, and now my phone works as a really good webcam! I really couldn't be more pleased, although I do have to shut off the autofocus because otherwise every time I move, the picture refocuses - but I can shut it off, so that's no problem! Great app!

This software is feature-packed and nearly flawless, and I was delighted to pay for it. The only real hump in getting it to work over USB is enabling developer options on the phone and then "USB debugging". Streaming HD is with iVCam is awesome. One snag though: I've found that using iVCam long-term, like for a monitor, is not as easy. Every once in a while, the app on the phone crashes and I have to relaunch it. Please make the app more stable if possible.

This does allow you to use your cell phone as a webcam and it does that well. On my S9+ the picture was great. However, the problem is audio. Even with a hard wired connection between camera and PC there was a serious delay between the sound and video with the sound lagging the video by over 1/2 second. I tried VSC with no change. Apparently the way sound and video are processes aren't synced. This is particularly odd because the sound processing is much less CPU intensive than the video. The actual video delay wasn't too bad, visible but OK. However with the sound delayed so far it really wasn't usable on Zoom. If the authors ever fix this to really do lip sync, it would be excellent.

Update to the previous review: I stand corrected. You must enable USB Debugging in developer's options for USB connection to work. It's even explained on their website. Changed to 5 stars. Great app + much cheaper than purchasing a dedicated high quality webcam. Works great with Wi-Fi turned on in the phone's settings. BUT, it is advertised to work over USB too, yet I am unable to get it to connect to my PC over USB only. I purchased the full version only to find out that USB only does not work. Installed it on multiple devices and same thing happens.

I'm using my old Samsung S7 Active cell phone as a webcam on my Windows 7 PC to join my classroom on Zoom. Your app seems to be the only one that will use my USB cord to turn my phone into a webcam. I am happy I found your app. But I am having some problems. I followed the instructions and while testing it in the Zoom portal, I was able to get it to work through the USB cable, and seemed to work great. Then I tried to test on a real meeting through Zoom by calling my husband in the next room. But Bam! iVCam said my trial period was over and I could only use the lower video specs and fram rate. How long is your trial period? 20 minutes? I barely got to see how it looks with all the choices. There is a lot of lag so the audio is out of sync, and the video is blurry. Is that because I don't have the right options available because I need to purchase the app? or is this the best that the app can do? I really need a longer trial period to know if I want to buy this app.

Finally got it downloaded and updated. Seems to be working, again. WARNING: Their site has ads from Slimware at the top, and even planted directly in the middle of the page that are totally unnecessary and very misleading imo, probably causing some users to download unnecessary items. The ads should be removed immediately, as they have nothing to do with the update. Also, I don't like a forced update that renders an app useless, until you update.

Ok, works but meh. Runs my phone battery down fast and hot and my computer froze using it. I have a 32 ram machine made for productivity and typically run excel, power point, zoom, a standard webcam, 20 tabs, all day long... ect. But this... my fan is blowing full speed and my computer crashed. Just this and zoom. Nothing else open. I don't recommend it. Plus the ads are annoying because some can't be closed.

Beware of the newly-added, nasty, intrusive adware! I have been using this app for 3 years and it has worked flawlessly. Went to use it at the beginning of the year for a business meeting and I was horrified that as soon as it launched, an ad began screaming over my cell even though the volume was turned down. You can no longer just purchase the PC version, you must purchase the mobile version as well, and the ads run even while trying to place the order. SOOOO incredibly annoying.

The app keeps shooting ads constantly. Also unable to change to portrait mode on phone must be done thru computer settings. Also audio cuts off when using wifi, you have to use a p.c mic, but then the audio volume capture records way to low And there are no way to bump the mic audio volume. My mic works fine, because I use Audacity to do audio recordings, but with IV cam is not good. I was willing to purchase the pro version But with this many issues is not worth it. UNINSTALLING APP.
