Very user-friendly, extremely useful. If you don't have this app, you should definitely at least try it. I think of it as another essential app like a calendar or calculator. I tried couple of other translation apps a few years ago and none came close to ease of use. iTranslate has been in my toolkit ever since. Thank you developers 😊 Top Notch!

Terrible! I purchased this specifically for the two way translation. They advertise that you can"disable autostop voice recognition" in short. There's no such setting in this app. I bought this so the audio would run continuously. I emailed support asking if they had a previous version where this setting exists. Not heard back yet.

I still don't know why they changed this, the previous version was so much simpler to use, much more intuitive and user-friendly. It's hard enough to get your thoughts down in another language but with this latest version I spend more time wrestling wIth the app and it totally breaks my concentration. There used to be little flags next to each language which made it a lot nicer visually and made recognition faster, it looks so blah now.

i needed something i could use offline in Mexico. might do well in context.. but had a hard time getting it right with single words. Google translate was so much more accurate when wifi was availablle. also.. though i only needed it for one week... it ended up being a monthly subscription that we did not catch until 3rd month. Any app that doesn't reconfirm that you want the next month is literally banking on this.

Terrible! Hi. I have the newest version of itranslate for android, I'm having trouble . . There's no "disable automatic stop voice recording " in the settings . I paid for PRO version . If these are not available any more, it should say that in the details and help section reads there is a switch in settings . IT IS NOT THERE. Please Reply. I purchased this for a conversation from USA to BRAZIL TONIGHT. Is it possible for me to get a version with "disable auto stop voice recognition" setting?

This app does what I need it to. Lots of languages and the live translating through the camera works much more consistently than I expected. But I have only used it to translate Spanish and English. My two star is because I cannot believe that the only option for pro is to pay a yearly subscription! Not worth 40 dollars, not to me. Take my money, I shall find endeavor to find a better alternative over the next year.

Used this app for several years and it was always my go to app for translations. I even purchased pro version to support the creator and use freely. Sadly this app has changed tremendously and my pro version is no longer recognized or acknowledged. Now the app is extremely expensive and requires a monthly subscription. Using free version is no longer a viable option either due to the predatory ads every time you need a translation. Sad to say deleting this app immediately!!!

This is a great app! You can make a correction once you have typed in your request without deleting the entire sentence. It has a dictionary. You can switch from Spanish to English back to English to Spanish. Also you can slow down or speed up the voice temple. It also has a phrases category where you learn to speak on subject matters like traveling or being in a grocery store etc.. It's a great app so far for me and I've been using it for about 1 month I believe.

I was immediately met with the Seven Trial with no possibility of moving forward unless I signed up to pay $39.99 a year after said trial. I do not do this kind of tactic, which I refer to "Bait, Switch, and Charge." Maybe I am wrong. However, I remember using a solid "always free" voice/text translator on my iPhone several years ago with numerous languages while I accessed "again free" when visiting Puerto Rico. For me, it's a solid No

Purchased this app in 2016 for $10. Now I'm being forced to pay again in order to continue using the app. I purchased it solely for the conversational mode, which worked quite well. Now, despite having spent money for it, those features were taken away in favor of paying a monthly fee. Yes the translations are accurate, but I'm miffed that I don't get permanent access to a feature I already paid for, since at the time it was advertised as a one time payment for all the pro features.

Pricing: offers a very short free trial, which will immediately sign you up for a yearly subscription (40 dollars), I suggest getting a monthly (5 dollars) if you will be using it rarely or want to demo it properly. My experience trying to use photo translation for spot Japanese translation was underwhelming, and as this was the primary reason for getting this app I can not recommend it. It might have more success with more conventional type sets.

More accurate than google translate. I see why everyone thinks there's no free trial. You hit "start free trial" button and it pops up to pay for 1 year subscription. You have to hit X on top right instead of "start free trial" button, it's like in a game ad with "try again" button that only take you to store. Anywho, I'm stuck overseas so this helps...can't afford to get pro subscription though as I'm not able to make money here, so I'm forced to type and show text only.

Paid for the pro version after moving to a new country, which was a mistake. Huge waste of money. Garbage translations, 9/10 times, have to go to Google & use their translator to understand anything. Also, this app does not work without an internet connection, so god forbid you're in a subway system trying to translate a map like I was once. The voice to text translation also never works, no matter how close you are to the speaker or how slowly they talk. Photo translation feature is okay tho

Broken app, broken support. Would not save any offline language data, which is a problem if you are in a country with incompatible cell service. Support basically told me to "turn it off and on again" even when I was asking specific questions about things like settings and permissions. Had to rely on Google Translate for the trip as it was able to work offline.

It was really good, I just don't use it nearly enough to pay a staggering 39.99 a month for it. If you need a translator that takes pictures and use it often, I totally recommend this app! I'm sorry I don't have more use for it actually. It was really fast...I took the picture of the text, waited about 25 seconds or less, then it was done! Great job guys.... let me know if it gets cheaper at some point! Otherwise I have to go with A FREE Google translate.... 😞

There are several other translators in the Android Marketplace and I have tried one or two of them. But, iTranslate is now the only one on my Android. I'm studying Irish and this translator has proven indispensable. It has a clean interface, is user friendly and I like having the ability to save my translations. I hope that eventually, there will be audio (Connacht because it seems to be in a mid-way position between the two other dialects) to complement the text translations. Maith thú! Well d

New update: no more nasty ads and very helpful app!!!. I love this app. 💛💛💛🥰 Old update 2017: they have nasty disgusting ads, like people on each other and inappropriate scenes in bed. Very nasty. Very disappointed. Previous: It is perfect, almost perfect. It might be my fault but I cannot figure out how to speak a different language into it and have it translate into English. It just tries to make my words English. Even though I have it in the other language section.

I'm sure this app is useful to someone who wants an all-in-one translator, but in my case, there are options that provide similar services without having to pay or subscribe. Not worth it to me. Edit for clarification: Although the app is free, the more useful features like the photo translator, which I originally needed, require an in-app purchase. The base service is essentially Google Translate in app form. Nothing special there. Thanks.

Only needed this to translate a Chinese voicemail (was curious if it was spam or a wrong number). Didn't like that I had to sign up for a free trial just for that, mostly because I now have to cancel to prevent from being billed monthly. Seems to work okay (can't say how accurate it was, but seemed mediocre), when it worked, but it took many tries. Part of the problem seemed to be difficulty hearing from a speaker, but also if the correct Chinese dialect wasn't chosen, instead of hinting at that, it just acted like it didn't hear anything. As for the subscription, if this is something you would use on an infrequent basis, it would be much better to have a prepaid option to allow x number of translations per amount paid.

Great! The popups on opening and using are just annoying. I've reviewed the app, but continue to get popups for review upon every single translation! I adore the recording option. It makes real-time conversations doable. This is extraordinarily helpful when you have a lot of friends who don't speak perfect English or if you volunteer with immigrants and refugees.
