THANK YOU!!! As an educator, I had tried quite of few of the other webcam apps, and each time, they either didn't take or wouldn't open. THIS IS THE EASIEST AND QUICKEST APP for such service!! I really loved having the free agency to use an old phone that I have as a webcam which also offers zoom. Why not 5-stars? As I really loved it, I had hoped there was an option to utilize multiple phones (phone a, phone b, etc) which would populate when using with Zoom account. Having this diversity option would make transitioning between cameras (phones) super helpful and a one-stop! But as is, and FREE... YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!!.. my setup: I teach in higher education, used an old Samsung S6 Android (which worked perfect for camera purposes), with a MacBook Pro...

This is a great app, and made especially so by the fact that you can use a USB connection. For those complaining about connection issues over WiFi, that is likely interference, or an issue on YOUR LAN. For those discussing the black screen issue, be sure that you read ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS. You have to install the server on your machine first, start that server, launch the app on your phone, and set a resolution in the app settings that the video conferencing app will accept. Simple.

Many good qualities with one major flaw. A little tricky to set up the USB connection. Of the USB protocols only tethering and MIDI will make the windows and android side recognize a connection is made. Image quality is great with almost no latency. However windows does not recognize the device as being a camera, so it will not allow usage in Skype or video conferencing.

Works well, with the notable exception that it is using the wide-angle camera on my phone (Galaxy S23 Ultra) and doesn't appear to offer any way to switch to the main shooter. The pro version doesn't offer very much in the way of camera control (e.g, zoom), and also does not support any kind of recording or Loop recording.

I own the pro version and I must say, when it works, it's great but when it doesn't work, boy is it infuriating. Currently the stream will flicker constantly to the point that it's unusable. Furthermore, when the thing that is holding you back is the fact you aren't on the latest version, you don't get notified and must manually update your PC client by going to the website and checking your version with the latest version they offer. Overall the app works well for me about 60% of the time.

The app works very well most of the Time, I do notice the issue where the camera wont work on the second round of use in a single day. Half the time this is because the desktop server was already running. But other times the bug persists. I believe this is a very well made app and with some tiny usability modifications it could be the best of the store.

Great little app. Using with an Essential PH-1, picks up on lighting much better than my Logitech C920. The only downside is that in order to zoom in and out, you have to pinch the screen. If you have a Bluetooth mouse, you can double click and hold, which allows you to drag the mouse to adjust zoom. Very nice app, overall I'm happy with it.

This is a lightweight, low latency, HD video app that supports up to 4 remote devices as webcams. I've tested it on a Windows PC with 3 Android phones and an iPad and it works like a charm. You have to specify the number of video inputs that you want when you install the program on the PC. The free version has a small watermark at the top left corner. You can configure this program as a video input in OBS, Zoom, etc. If you want to use it via WiFi, make sure that you have a fast connection (preferably on the 5 GHz band) and a strong signal. You can also use this over USB but it requires USB debugging to be enabled on your device. I really like this app!

There's no features list for the pro version before purchase. I purchased it on a whim in hopes that it might be able to record over Wi-Fi in the background, since extensive Googling returned no information on that, nor did checking the in-app purchase features list. Which isn't to say it wasn't worth purchasing, since it has the lowest latency with the highest quality than I can see. But being unable to capture the camera in the background is a dealbreaker I wish I had known about. Word to the wise, Iriun: list the features that come with the Pro purchase.

This app is easy to setup and works very well. Image quality is very good. Auto focus works really well. The computer side application allows connecting 3 phones simultaneously. It does work with lots of applications. I use it with OBS and have no issues with setting up the video capture device. Zoom has to be done from the phone but that is fine for me since I prefer to setup and not change anything during the stream or record session. The phone display can be set to dim automatically which does help to conserve battery life. Just a couple of thing I would like to see added to app. The ability to control brightness on the phone app. There are some situations where that would be very useful. I also would like the application on the computer to be able to always keep a specific phone as camera 1, 2, or 3. Currently whenever you connect a phone it randomly connects as 1, 2, or 3. For example, it would be great if I could configure a phone to always be camera 1. Other than that, this app is totally worth it.

Best webcam app I've found so far. Almost all Windows apps are able to find it (although the built-in camera app can't but it doesn't detect normal usb webcams anyways). Video quality is stellar. I think they could improve significantly on the UI. There are few enough items in the settings that you really don't need the window, there could just be buttons for those things on the main screen (maybe add a toggle to hide other buttons?)

Refuses to connect over USB, and if USB Debugging is turned on, it connects wirelessly for a minute and then drops the connection. Needs an update with clearer instructions of what type of USB connection (ie Transfer, Tethering, Etc) and the current problem not detecting a USB connection fixed. I'm using Windows 11 with a Galaxy S21, and windows can see the phone, can connect to the storage, and Windows Phone Link works fine, but Iriun Pro does not.

Needs user-defined window-sizing & orientation (framing). Phone framing needs to be independent of laptop display framing. Step 1: enable independent selection of landscape or portrait orientation on the app AND laptop. Currently, selecting "portrait" on the app, holding phone in portrait orientation, the image is unusably clipped (top of my head to top lip are visible). In landscape mode, phone held in portrait, is perfect on the phone, but laptop image is rotated 90 degrees.

This app is great so far, and just saved me $127 I was about to spend on a webcam! (Using on Pixel 4xl+MacOS, btw, and it works with Zoom, Skype, and Hangouts). The Zoom issue that people mention is actually a Zoom problem in a recent update. If you use 4.6.8 or earlier, it will work fine. I do have a question, though: If I have BOTH a WiFi connection and a USB connection, which one is the default? I want to be able to force it to use USB, without having turn off the phone's WiFi radio.

For those of you wondering what comes with the "Pro" version (because the Dev doesn't tell you for some strange reason) - the premium price tag gives you exposure lock, flash on/off, image mirror, and zoom bar within the Desktop companion app. The phone app doesn't change much, except for exposure lock and ability to disable the Iriun logo in the settings. It's pretty uninspired and anticlimactic but I bought it anyway to support the Dev. I hope this encourages them to put more useful features into the app, like exposure controls (brightness, contrast, etc.) and maybe mic volume control.

Help! I installed this on Mac and using an old Android phone. Works perfectly in Photo Booth, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. But not in Facetime! In Facetime it appears in the camera list but when I choose it, Facetime keeps using the laptop's own camera. Any clues how to fix this? It's a beautiful app. Smooth, fast, hi res, does not put too much load on the laptop. Phone gets hot and sucks battery but that's fine, it's on a tripod and plugged in for power.

Just what I needed since the camera on my Mac stopped working. Excellent video quality. Easy to connect - just install driver on the computer and run the app on the phone and the software takes care of the rest. Simple, no unnecessary frills. Works great with Zoom. At first the video looked weird - but that was easily fixed by changing the Zoom video setting to "hi res".

I used it to convert my old Samsung S7 into a PC webcam. The video quality is great. However, after trying it for a day, it keep disconnecting every 5 minutes and automatically reconnecting. I cannot use it if it for any video conferencing and casting if it keeps dropping connection. I thought if I purchased it the problem will go away but it didn't so I got a refund. Also, the Microsoft Camera app does not recognize it as a camera. It only recognize the iVCam app. As far as video quality Iriun is compatible to iVCam and is cheaper. If it doesn't keep dropping out on me I would have chosen Iriun.

I tested different apps for streaming to my computer. My selection this time was Iriun. The day after I updated the oc program from 2.7.8 to 2.8.4. The next time I used it I had connection issues. Both between the phone and app and between the app and obs. Is the old version available somewhere so I can test them and compare? Thanks! <3

I have the latest version on both Android and PC and both are on the same Wi-Fi network. It will not connect unless I use a USB wire, which defeats the intended purpose. I thought maybe it was related to using a VPN and phone link; it is not. Disabling them had 0 effect. You can't adjust brightness & contrast either, and the picture is a bit bright/washed out.
