Best company I've used yet. If you charge at public charges these are fantastic if you take out a subscription. Their charges are very well maintained and simple to use.

Excellent, super fast charging network. Sometimes busy, but when folk don't charge to 100% you can get on with your journey quickly!

loses connection constantly, interestingly it seems that ionity themselves can't see the correct status on the chargers when you contact the hotline. They see broken chargers as working fine or vice versa. The server infrastructure needs to be overhauled!

Took a very long time to set up. Also took a VERY VERY long time to recognise which charging stations in Cobhman were (not) in use. The most annoying thing however is the inability to add or remove a card if you are not charging. I am trying to update my payment method at home and it is just not working Update on 7th of July I have been told my CS that to update my payment methods, I have to delete my account and set it up again???!!! Really!!?? How can that be.

Registration was slow and very painful over 4G. Bear in mind, not all places offer wifi. Took over an hour with the app losing the data before the Registration confirmation could be completed. Since I have installed I have not been able to complete a charge without the app losing connection, so I have to go to the charger to see the progress. I am on the road a lot and although the chargers are great, using them is frustrating and tedious.

Ionity as a service is great, but the app is terrible. Extremely buggy, slow to react, etc. Ironically, even when it prompted me to rate it the app got stuck and refused to respond, so I navigated here on my own. The app also lists the price as per minute whereas most of the other mentions of pricing on the website are per KwH. It seems that it's actually per minute, for what it's worth, so the app got it right in this regard.

This app allows other users to charge their cars on your account without your permission, then they refuse to reimburse you for their mistakes, they just don't care. A really dishonest company.Do not entrust them with your credit card details. avoid

Once it works it's great....but both times I've used it so far (Ireland) it took at least 10 minutes to get it to connect, just kept going round in circles trying to connect via the app then pay directly and eventually it just started charging, even though it didn't show it on the app..... Update: I have an Android and I see from other reviews it might be an Android compatibility issue....

I love the new Route Planning feature, now the app becomes a lot more useful! However, I hope that you have in you roadmap to integrate it with the manufacturers' API's, otherwise is of little use anyway. The reason for this is that AA/CarPlay won't trigger the battery cooling/warming system, which is absolutely necessary to get a good charging session, but the manufacturers' built-in navigation will do. Up until then, it'll just continue being a secondary app only to check where to charge.

Appalling App & Charging Experience:350KW charging looked ideal, tried for 30+ minutes to get App & Website to work. Charger 3 & 5 started & immediately stopped. Ionity charged three lots of £40 "holding charge". Whichever Marketing Genius decided that building an app & forcing new customers to download instead of simple debit or credit card tap & pay solution should ask their university for a refund of their tuition fees! "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." AVOID IONITY!

it's a good app, but I can't save favourite stations and also the ability to use in android auto would give it the extra star

One of the most frustrating apps I have come across. The route planning is abysmal. There is no facility to add waypoints so a journey from Essex to Aberdeen is routed across the country. You do not seem to be able to save your preferences (miles/km, starting charge, end charge). You can't save routes. And what's with the English(Germany) language option. There appears to be no way of setting up a payment card for the basic Pay & Go option. There are far better apps out there.

Go ahead... Assume Details on me... Like presenting distance in miles, just because my phone is set to English... And don't let me change settings like units or language.. Because you know... Not

Great system when travelling abroad with plenty of fast chargers in good locations around europe. I never had to wait to hook up to the car. Highly recommend signing up to the subscription service to save money with no exit fees!

Won't let you add a card for a payment method until you start charging so you can't prepare in advance. This results in multiple €40 holds on your card when faced with broken chargers. Very frustrating.

For me the most important function ist to select "my" charger. When I stand in front of the charger the app shows me an arrow to navigate to the 2 m away charging station and how many chargers are available- useless information. But the list of chargers is hidden. The first time it took me 5 minutes to figure out that I had to swipe up. That's really not a good app design. Diatance now in miled instead of km. Every time I have to select my car, does not store. diatance

Never had a problem at an Ionity station. Some people paying directly can have problems after scanning their card/phone, so I just tell them to download the App! There should be a 'recommend to friends' type code for all the people I've signed up to Ionity as there is with Electroverse!? Thankfully there's an Ionity card we can link to our accounts as sometimes there's poor mobile/cellphone reception at my local Ionity station!

Pretty good charging app, considering the other providers. What could improve: - route planning is very rudimental - grouping charging points that are "near" each other is really annoying; I don't care if there's another charger nearby if it's on a completely different highway

Once you filter out non-ionity changers it relatively easy to find a charger and start a session. It also provides a per-charger info of how full the occupant is. 2 stars for not having plug-and-charge while their chargers support it. Furthermore, this makes it impossible to charge if you have P&C enabled on your car

While the charging network is perfect, the app has a major usability flaw. After finding a charger, there's no way to start navigation. The address can't be tapped to open in a map application, and you can't copy it to the clipboard. This forces a frustrating process of manually re-typing the address. A 'Navigate' or 'Copy Address' button would be a huge improvement
