If they can rate 0 stars I would. I tried to refer my friend to instacart for their $10 off promotion and when they tried to use it was apparently already redeemed or expired. It's been 4 days. When I contacted customer service to see what the issue may have been they incredibly unhelpful and rude. The promotion details aren't complicated and I went through them with her sentence by sentence. At the end of a half an hour, she started to repeat "On my side, everything looks fine." 👎

Great for individuals, difficult for families. I enjoy the plus subscription benefits, which saves a ton of time and hassle with grocery shopping. Tried the family account but it's very difficult to use. Both members need to have the ability to pick up the order. When a family cart order is placed, only that person has access to the order. This defeats the purpose of a family cart.

Do Not Use this app. They are robbing people by changing the service fee after you place the order. The service fee was $15 when I placed the order and I added a $10 tip. Somehow it mysteriously changed to $69.60 without me authorizing. FrAUD ALERT!!! They also added items to my cart and I also did not get all the items I added. They also messed up and put the actual receipt in my bag. Groceries rang up at the store for $258 yest they charges me $373 plus servi e fee and tip. RIP OFF ALERT!!!

Love it!! Saves time and is great when you don't feel like grocery shopping and have other things to accomplish. Costs a little extra, but is so worth it when you need it. The app is very straightforward and user friendly. Haven't had a bad shopper yet. Happy to tip them since they're doing a chore I don't like... spending my time in a crowded grocery store, when I'd rather be at the farmer's market or enjoying my only two days off doing other stuff!! 🙃

I have been having issues with this app for the past few months. There have been several times where I don't receive notifications from the shopper's messages so I missed approving replacements and even had a shopper cancel my delivery because they couldn't contact me. I now can't even place an order because the app is glitching. The shoppers are great but the app sucks.

Not good. I wanted to cancel order and restart a new one. It Wouldn't let me. Then can't cancel till you submit order. Also charge a cancelation fee while you're in the shopping process isn good. You should be able to cancel anytime before or after without a fee. Its NOT user friendly. I couldn't find the word "account" at bottom of screen of app page process to cancel. Finally, it didn't accept my phone when I was trying to use your help.

I'm about to delete my app and stop paying the yearly fee. They still charge a service fee even with your yearly fee. They also require at least $1 tip even before you submit your order, plus they ask for tip afterwards. Not to mention, the prices are skyrocketed for every item you purchase. It adds up, and you don't get the advantage of in store sales. Basically, it's not worth it. I'd rather have more groceries than pay all these added fees.

I like using the app very well. The first time I've used it, the delivery was a success as the first shopper made it to my house with it in a race pace. However, for the second time, it has been almost two and a half hours since the new shopper has been late delivering the items I ordered because they are making another delivery. I mean, it doesn't take that long to make a delivery. Overall, the shoppers really need to learn punctuality when they do what's expected for costumers.

They had a promotion $40 off an order of $80 or more. And my order was over $80 and then 1 item was $2 less and still shows status of still shopping. I tried to add more, because it said that I could. But told me I could no longer add items. Boom , no more $40 off. I'm on disability and the only reason I ordered was for the discount. I would have had someone go for me. Fraudulent practices.

Always delivers around the time the app shows. I like the messaging page in the app so I can talk to the shopper directly. I have had one person leave the groceries on my neighbors porch, and I don't have it set up to leave at the door. I also like that I can get food delivered to my address, which is in the middle of nowhere at 10 pm when I order by 7:30. So far I love it.

While the convenience of ordering groceries and having them delivered is definitely a major draw, Instacart has become a nuisance. Not only are you paying around 30% more for groceries (before taxes, fees, and tip...) but I've notice a major trend among the shoppers. Many will refund or replace items for their own convenience or gain. Today was the final straw, as half my order (which wasn't anything hard to find or rare) was refunded or replaced. And it arrived 4 hours after ordering, warm.

START SAVING TIME AND MONEY! Instacart has been a lifesaver for my busy schedule. I love being able to order groceries fromthe comfort of my home and have them delivered straight to my door. The app is user-friendly and has a wide selection of stores to choose from. The shoppers are always courteous and communicative, and they do a great job of finding substitutes if something I ordered is unavailable. I highly recommend Instacart to anyone looking for a convenient, reliable delivery service.

The app needs work; recent updates were NOT an improvement. The pickup option often shows inaccurate locations for the customer; it frequently shows that I have arrived when I am two blocks away at a red light in heavy traffic. Orders also jump to completed before the order is delivered to the customer; this closes the option to chat with the delivery person. The family cart option drops items from the list. There's a lot to fix.

App doesn't show the products I'm looking for. anytime I search an item it says not found and then goes on to show "similar items" but then I went to check out and the item I was looking for was under suggestions. It's frustrating that no matter what I search it doesn't give me the items I'm looking for. The delivery aspect is convenient but I usually need to settle for a smaller/ larger quantity or a different brand than what I originally wanted.

The app is easy to use only if you realize that you need to choose a store before searching for items. Otherwise, you'll end up with several carts at different stores. Luckily I fixed my order and avoided having to find out the hard way whether extra carts also brings extra fees. Also, I left instructions for the delivery person to knock or ring my doorbell, and they didn't! I don't want to check my phone notifications constantly. That's a reasonable request. Customer service, you know?

Tried for first time. Everything went smoothly, but the reason for the 4 star is that the store was out of the body wash I wanted and instead of contacting me and letting me give a different suggestion, they cancelled the item and gave me a $10 credit, which was nice of them, but Everytime I click on accept credit, I get an error message.

Editing again. Instacart just made tipping *even harder* in Seattle. It's not coming up in the order flow, even on the app. The post-order "how did we do" disappears after you put in a star rating. No tipping option in the normal flow at all. You have to go to your account, then the order, pull up the rating again, then you eventually get to tip. Obvious design to penalize their delivery workers. Stop shopping Instacart until they go back to the old design. Shop Town and County online instead.

Truly a crapshoot. You never know what you're going to get or who. Absolutely zero accountability for mistakes or late deliveries. The app itself runs OK but ETAs are arbitrary. And depending on where you're shopping from item descriptions are vague or non-existent. Some missing photos, sizes, volume etc. Don't let your shoppers phone die after your order has already been pushed back once before. Now the stores closed! Tough luck I guess. Better hope it doesn't happen a second time around!

When my delivery person was at the grocery store trying to shop for my items, he discovered that the store happened to be completely out of 2 of the 7 items on my list. He reached out to me to ask if there was anything else that I might want to get instead to replace these 2 items. I said yes, & told him which ones that I wanted. But when he tried to replace them in the app, the platform wouldn't allow him to do it. AND I was still charged for the 2 items anyways! WHICH IS COMPLETE BS INSTACART!

I really depend on Instacart, and I truly appreciate the select shoppers that participate in the shopping for me. I've only had a couple of incidents that didn't go very well, but all is forgiven. **May I suggest if possible, that each time a shopper finds an item in the list, a notification goes off just like when there's an issue or question, because that would be very helpful. Thank you.
