I like the app. I can read a lot of stories and such as intended, but there is an obvious glitch going on with the app on my phone. whenever I linger on one story for a long time and decide to leave, it starts glitching out like it's possessed. after the usual "do you want to save it your library" prompt, it tries to get me back to where I was before the story. the screen turns white and when I touch the screen it glitches out until I restart the app. other than that annoying glitch it's good

I've had this app for about a week and noticed there is a lag when you touch the screen. At first I thought"maybe I didn't press hard enough?" And then the options pop up and close right away because it processed the touch very slowly. Hopefully Inkitt can fix this problem soon. I haven't really read many stories on here yet but there seem to be lot of interesting free books to read and many different genres. When you over look the lags it isn't that bad of an app.

Inkitt is wonderful. Although the variety of stories seems like less than what Wattpad offers, the experience given is amazing. There's no limit on offline stories, it's very user-friendly, and it gives a full experience. Hardly any restrictions! However, there are few bugs in Inkitt. Oftentimes, while reading a chapter, it will skip back to the beginning of the chapter, the screen will freeze for a few minutes at a time, and switching from chapter to chapter isn't the best, but it's worth it.

Really good. I was expecting it to start hammering out the ads and demanding money. I have really enjoyed reading the stories. The only thing I would change is the ability to tell if I have already read a story in the new and discovery tabs. Edited to add There new sections are not great, some stories hadn't been updated for over a year. Hasnt been updated, same stories, dont seem like they are updating.

First thing, thank you for no ads! I can read while listening to music and not get interrupted every other page! The selection of books is great! I haven't found any major issues at all. Two tiny ones, like moving books to reading lists/ and it will close itself every once in a while. But it doesn't lose your place when it does and the fact that the app itself isn't that big space wise I can't really complain.

I've used this ap for 2 years. I did have it at five stars, but have now lowered it to 2! It is constantly freezing. To where it's impossible to even write anything. If it's not freezing it wigs out and all my writing has big gaps in between the paragraphs. I'm so frustrated with all of this I'm taking a brake. I use the mobile app being it's easier for me. I have a computer, and it dosent glich as much, but still frustrated.

Inkitt has some really great short reads, some good writers and some bad writers who can't spell. If your not a novice reader, it is pretty easy to pick out the good books. Be ware tho, there are some unfinished books that doesn't get deleted even if it's not been updated in over a year and that I really dont like because if you accidentally get started on one, it can leave you hanging permanently, which is horrible.

Been using the app on and off for a while, and overall it's easy to navigate and great for reading, but I have a few issues with it. Leaving comments while using mobile constantly makes the page freeze. It makes leaving comments take forever. With book selection, suggested titles need to be updated more often. Other than the 'Recently Updated' category, each genre seems to always have the same titles cycling back and forth. Humor section usually only has three? Overall, needs more upkeep!

The app is a great platform for me to post more of my stories on. And having the ability to make my stories a series is great. But there is a glitch in the app. This is my first time downloading the app, and as I try to post my first story, it gives me a pop up saying im missing one more piece of info, and that's the genre, age rating, language, and etc. As I try to fix that issue, it goes white and after a minute it kicks me out of the app. Please fix this!!😩

I love that this app is completely free and has no premium option because I had Wattpad before this and they updated to premium a while ago, which irritated me when I found out. I do suggest, though, that there is an audio version where you can highlight a word or words and tap the 'speak' option to learn how to pronounce them correctly. That usually worked in my favor when I was younger. Please! Do not update into premium! I don't want to have to find another reading app with similar features!

For some reason on some stories (that aren't for subscribers) it will let you read a certain amount of chapters then won't upload the rest of the chapters it will be a black screen. Since I updated the app it will do that black screen thing and won't let me continue the chapters nor let me back out of the book. I have to uninstall and reinstall it to reset the app. OVERALL it's a great app the only one that allows you to read for free and not have to spend money on coins to read more.

It's a good app overall. Much better than their competitor WattPad imo, since it gives writers a lot more freedom and I can see they're working on projects beyond just books. But my main problem is they force you to download an entire separate app for reading stories and publishing them, which is just annoying. I'd like to check my posting notifications while I read and have it all in the same place. 2 apps is super non-intuitive

The app is horrible. It's really glitchy, when you check the updates for stories it keeps the updates as unread. I've had multiple issues with the payment/subscription tiers, and it won't allow me to upgrade the payment. The only reason I use the app is because a writer I love uses it for their stories, I just wish I could upgrade what tier I'm in! Putting in a support ticket was near impossible unless you go to the actual website.

(Update 4/2024) The app has greatly improved! There is still a little issue with notifications not showing up until hours or days later but everything else seems good. (Original 1/2022) Very glitchy, hard to write chapters because they constantly delete themselves and it takes a very long time to get a chapter properly updated with all the glitches. Great authors and great stories, that's the only reason I'm putting at leats 2 stars

Love the app. They have great books. However this new update sucks. Everytime I click a book I get kicked right back out. Would love to give more stars but this is a regular issue with updates ,they never function correctly. The new chapter updates always start at the bottom so you have to scroll all the way back up. When switching chapters the screen blacks out. Could y'all fix this.

I love the fact that it's got organizational features rivaling those of my favorite novel-writing software. I especially love the fact it works on both PC and Android (which SOME apps refuse to do). However, my main aggrevation is two fold, and hard to ignore. First: When I'm in the app, for some odd reason, the enter key on my virtual keyboard, nothing happens. Second: I can't find a way to report this in the app itself. Third (trivial): there's no option for a prologue or epilogue I can find.

Absolutely love this app, has amazing stories and anyone can write what they want..however there are so many glitches. Blank screen when I move onto another chapter, resets all of my reading progress or deletes books from my library, when you try to scroll and leave your finger on the screen it tells you to choose an image to share, there's more than just that. I do love the app and can deal with the issues but it'd be great if they were fixed.

It's a great writing site, I gave it four stars due to the occasional glitch through the phone app that makes updating/editing difficult at times. If your new it's at times hard to understand all it's offered features if your going between the app and website. They seem almost like separate platforms until you get a handle on it. Otherwise it has a great community and customer support has been great on my end.

I dont hate the services that the app, in fact I love that it offers no adds while I read but I absolutely hate the app itself. I have encountered at least 5 glitches that I have noticed that make it very difficult to use the app. When I try to report the issue, the only response I get is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. I have done it do many times and nothing has changed and they offer no other solutions!

Great app but can be better. love that it gives authors freedom and control over their writing. The reading experience can be better. It glitches often, won't open books from some pages, the page count won't appear sometimes, when a chapter comes out it loads the end of the chapter not the beginning (spoilers) and I really wish it had a dark mode option for night time reading. The worst part- once you subscribe to an author there is a lag of accessing their work, will charge immediately though.
