Reliable app and an excellent visual design. Only downside is that users cannot set its language independently from the system language. If I don't want any old app to try and speak to me in Dutch that doesn't mean I want my native-Dutch bank in English too.

I've been left without access to my bank account for weeks since after a mobile app reset the NFC scanner for the ID doesn't work properly and the process can't be completed. If you can't access the mobile app you will not be able to do anything banking related! Your hold life depends on that app. Technology that works against the user. Been constantly on the phone for days waiting for the after 72 hour response that never came.

I have been a salary client of ING for over a year now, but I am disappointed with their service. I recently needed a card to book a car, and they offered me one with a limit of only 50 euros with maintenance fee for this card is 19.80 per year. When trying to resolve issues online or by phone, the automated system asks for my postal code, house number, and date of birth, only for the operator to ask the same questions again once they pick up. This "old money" bank doesn't care about its clients

You have to redo your ID as well as your pin over and over and over again. It was a good app. Now it's goofy. ------------------ Edit: I understand that you have to apply new rules or laws from the government, but please warn users. Without deleting the app and reinstalling, I had to keep relogging and retaking my ID. That was truly a horrendous experience and I unfairly gave 1 star. The app itself however is good, it works smooth and the ability to login with your fingerprint is quite handy.

I stood with my groceries and couldn't pay because you delete the pay with mobile feature. Google pay needed verification and I couldn't pay although I had money because of this stupid bank. Update, It needed verification so no it doesn't Update 2, I did and google wants to verify my identity. I don't trust google to give them my ID to verify so I guess I won't be able yo pay with my phone anymore. Thank you for your reply Dominique I'm giving the app 2 stars instead of 1 for your friendliness

The app lack of an important feature which allows people to recieve notifications about transactions made with a credit card . This feature must be added since it has already been implemented with the debit card , and without this feature someone might steal and use your credit card and you won't even know it unless you open the app and open the section which shows the credit limit and transactions made with a credit card. Furthermore most of the thngs can't be made with the app.

Hi Margreet, The setting in the app changes the whole mobile language settings not only the app . Test it your self. After two updates, Developer still failed to solve the issue. Wondering if quality assurance is in place after each update. The last update is useless, you can't change the app language without changing your device language, you need to unbind the app from using the device language or make it possible to change the app language without the need of changing the device language.

Search function is broken. Update: thanks for replying. Whenever I search for a name that I've made a transaction to in the past I get no results. I've made sure I'm typing the name right, tried with different names, on different devices, still nothing. Used to work VERY well though!

Discontinuation of nfc payment is really disappointing. Google Pay just sucks if you wanna use your phone quickly, as it requires having a lock on the phone not only for payment but all the time for everything you do during the day. So I really enjoyed paying easily with the ING app, but, sadly, for now that option - the main use of a banking app for an average person - is disappearing.

The app itself was gine until it kicked me out and asked me to re-activate my account. The app scans my passport with the camera and then scans the nfc chip, says that it was successful and a moment later tells me that it did not work and I need to take a photo of it. This would be fine but when I then Tap the button to take a photo it doesn't do anything. Now I'm just stuck without mobile banking and I can't do anything about it until I return to the Netherlands.

Stop pestering and spamming me about using Google Pay! Every single time I log in! The problem isn't that I have a choice not to use it: it's the fact that is keeps asking me EVERY SINGLE TIME that I log in. If I could just dismiss that message forever, there would not have been a problem I even tried turning on the privacy settings, to turn off in-app notifications, but it didn't make a difference

Can't give it more than one star: the entries in the transactions list are not equal to the transaction dates and time. Very difficult to detect fraudulent or erroneous transactions this way. They had the language setting of the app equal to the phone language, but an update seems to have solved that now (amazing that their programmers thought they could think for the customer who may want the phone in English and the app in Dutch)

I've had to reinstall the app twice in 2 weeks because it keeps saying there's a problem with the internet connection. I'll probably change banks if this keeps up Edit: I did all that. After I reinstalled and reactivated the app (restarting the device did not solve) for the 2nd time I contacted support, they couldn't find the source of the problem. What's worse, now I'm obligated to use Google Pay to pay with my device. Not happy, to say the least. Edit: yes I did contact them: gotta use Ggl P

One wrong tap or one minute of inactivity and your transfer attempt is deleted forever. Impossible to use the app like this, either add the ability to save transfer drafts or make it a separate page on your app so it doesn't get insta deleted at the first opportunity. 👎 Also, please add a simpler way to view your transaction history- that's, like, the number one reason this app should be useful in the first place!

Most times in the last couple of days I have to refresh the app Stopped working altogether now. although I refresh it several times. Really great when in th middle of a transfer.... Yes. I reinstalled the app. Slow. Re updated recently. The ID scan is difficult as it takes on average 7 trials to work. Otherwise, I could again look at my payments etc . But not a good idea to have to reinstall the app unless you RE prepared to loose a lot of time in frustration. So still not very happy.

I've used the app for a long time and always worked fine! Since 10 days I'm trying to reinstall the app on my new phone without any luck. It always says: sorry something went wrong.please, try later. I went once to a service desk and they kindly tried to help me, still without success and once to the bank. No luck either. I am really disappointed and really need to use the app. If you log in trough the website, they want to send a verification code to your app.... I can't install the app

I've been trying to log in for the past few days and I still cannot. Every time I try to log in, it tells me to wait around 10 minutes. I wait with both the screen on or off, and every other variation just in case, but I never receive any message and nothing changes. If I put my phone to sleep mode or don't touch the screen after a while, it just automatically signs me out. I've restarted everything, phone is up to date, cleared data and cache yet nothing works.

The App works great and is user-friendly. However, I've noticed that in the updated version "Card Use Abroad" remains stuck to 'Europe'. The change to "world" is availed but does not apply. After you change the use to "World" and go back to the main account to try a transaction outside Europe (which fails), when you return to the App you find that 'Card Use Abroad' option remained stuck to 'Europe' despite your previous change to 'World'. Also this doesn't sync with online banking settings.

Horrible app, works 50\50 times, scanning QR code doesn't work during late hours. Have to use bunq, it's way more reliable. Just ridiculous how such a huge bank can't make everything work smoothly. For some features it just switches you to a browser. And what is more irritating after that it stops showing notifications! Transactions date-time is always chaotic, sometime I get notifications 3 days late and after a week just can't remember why I transferred money somewhere. And Eng localization...

Everything has to be done through the app. Unfortunately, the app crashes so you can't make any progress. After restarting my phone, redownloading the app, and changing networks. The app still does not function. By far the worst bank I have ever worked with. They are impossible to get ahold of, staff is unhelpful, and they make every process impossible.
