This app is finicky. I've been trying to figure it out for years. After using the most recent updates for the last year it's apparent that the app is slowed by ads and has a small memory leak. If your phone has low ram (4gb) it will not last long before the app crashes. I've tested on a newer phone with 12gb ram (OnePlus 8T) and the memory leak isn't as often but still happens. Regardless I still use the app because my albums and photos are still here

Used to be a great app with a great community but now it's a buggy, ad filled mess. Starts off good but as you look at posts it lags. Clicking on a post may open a different one. It moves posts around for no reason after you back out of looking at one. It auto scrolls to the top sometimes after backing out of a post, making you scroll down to try and find where you were (which sucks more when it auto shuffles them too). But hey the ads always load right away and never fail if you click on them.

Been a garbage app for some time. On their current build and the app is still incredibly slow to load posts. App slows down even more and starts chugging within 3-5 minutes of use, requiring a restart. Then there's all the ads that need to load per page before the content. Just uninstalled. Might come back if they make a working product.

Can't upload files for some reason? It's been a few months since the last time I uploaded, but it's not working anymore. Tried restarting app, restarting phone, turning off VPN, etc. No luck. The app is unusable if I can't get it to do the one thing I need it for.

Used to be great, now I'm so numb to the adds, I've started thinking it's content with how often they show up, and how they load faster than the posts anyway. Add on the bottom, add on the top, add in between posts, almost as bad as the internet, at least the adds don't move around, and cover the entire border.

Mid and damaging. Crashes a lot, is required for uploading and browsing but drains the hell out of your battery causing cyclical charging wear in rapid succession. Was at four days between charges, with the app, 24 hours. No steady decline, just instant drain and the problem goes away when its uninstalled. Good healthy community tho. Moderation superb unlike other sites. Worth it there. But I gotta knock some stars off for bugginess, battery drain and requiring an app in the first place.

Following an update, the app is frequently scrolling me back to the very top post from wherever I am, with no input at all. More occasionally, it will also without input skip to the next post, and scrolling back invariably has an ad in the middle. With those bugs combined, the app has become very frustrating to use.

I had Imgur Emerald for a long while for free. I think for helping with a bug? Anyway, that was taken away. And now I see why people are very unhappy with the app and ads. The ads make the app almost unusable. It's like navigating a minefield to not accidentally click in an add. I have been an user for over 10 years, and I regretfully may have to start looking for my memes elsewhere.

I decided to try the current version out to see if you guys have made any part of it better. Oh boy has it gotten even worse! Every page has a "something went wrong" notice. I can't access notifications, my profile, messages, or even access content controls in the gallery! As I'm swiping the bottom of the page goes up and down, making the information bar in a different position with each post. On top of all this, the phone runs like it's going to combust because their are so many trackers. shame

I have tried using the app a few times over the past few days. None of the images load, it constantly gives server capacity errors, and it couldn't load my profile. I tried clearing cache, clearing all data, and then reinstalling. Nothing. I can use the website fine on my desktop.

With my most recent update, the app started to automatically opening my web browser to sketchy websites and that I will not abide by. Update: Waited for an update to fix issue stated above, worked fine for several months until today when it would constantly cover the screen with a update available notification and even if you closed it, it would instantly come back up again leaving unable to do anything until you downloaded the update.

I was blocked from using the app without any explanation. When I asked for one, I was met with an extremely rude and condescending response from Imgur via email. I asked for proof of what they claimed I did which was use the photos for advertising (which I never did). Needless to say, they didn't reply. Seems so unprofessional from my perspective. Have since moved on to other similar apps.

An important feature has been exceptionally inconsistent over the past year. I can not upload certain images and sometimes I can. They fit the requirements for upload but the app won't even recognize them in my folder, all my other apps have no issue, just imgur I've tried the support team twice in the past year and they have been no help

Great community that has done real impact in the real world! I've used it for over 7 years, but recently the servers have been real shotty. It's basically rare at this point to be able to load any images at all. Probably 1/10 times I open it, I can actually use the app. I'd hate to uninstall it but if I can't use it anyway I might have to

It's app for an image hosting site. I guess there's boys implemented into it too, now. I'm not sure about moderators, I guess they will occasionally change up their rules as to what type of content is allowed. My phone is currently working great with the app. Although, sometimes a video might take a bit to load, but I don't think that's their fault entirely (I just scroll away then back to it, and it usually starts up). Anyway, it's a good app to use in my downtime.

They're forcing me to update. The notification covers the page and if you close it, it instantly pops back up. That's not the way it works. You tell me there's and update and I >choose< when to update it. Not while I'm out and about and using data. Update. That's it. I'm uninstalling. They lost and about 2 hours a day of facetime on their ads. I wonder how many other people they're gonna lose?

Got a constant notification to update that would cover up half the screen and immediately re-open whenever I tried to skip it rendering the app unusable. It'd been getting worse with ads and trackers and I tolerated it for a while, but this was it for me. Uninstalled. I highly recommend using the desktop site version with ad blockers for the best user experience that won't tank your phone battery.
