Disappointing that every month or so my two applets stop working because I need to reconnect the account with those apps. That could just be the way those services work and it's out of IFTTTs control, but the real disappointment is that I can't get a notification for when the applet fails. That is in IFTTTs control. It's also not very intuitive finding where to go to reconnect the app.

When it works it's fantastic. But then applets decide to randomly stop working. To get it working again sometimes turning them off and on works. Not usually, but sometimes. Sometimes you have to recreate it once. Sometimes you have to recreate it multiple times and hope one of them decides to work. Then they introduced plans. Hah! Yeah right.

"You asked, we charged!" Very disappointed. It took 6 years for to figure out "if this AND THIS then that" would be infinitely more powerful than just ifttt (which seemed obvious to me the very first time I used your app) and now not only are you charging for the honor of being able to basically run two applets in sequence you're limiting me to 3 free applets? "Great news! We've taken away free features, in order to charge you for simple upgrades that we should have added years ago!" Thank you!

Used to be great, but truly only two applets for free tier now when I've been using it for years? I literally only use it for my own personal weather alerts for a few too hot/too cold/daily weather to my calendar scenarios, and that's it. If I was automating my whole house with it or something, sure, I'd happily pay for that level of involvement.. but this is ridiculous.

Really Disappointing. If it just didn't work, that would be one thing- but it gets your hopes up and works for 3 or 4 times, and then decides not to work again. Disconnecting and connecting helped once. Creating the same Applets again helped once. Now, I can't get anything to make them work. Super sad, as this was the most promising and intuitive UI I've come across while trying to fulfill my automation needs.

Incredibly unreliable. I use exactly one applet provided by IFTTT, not something I've made on my own. Nothing else. One applet and for it to work I need to disable and enable it constantly. It will work for a few minutes, then stop. Rinse and repeat. I've never looked for an alternative to IFTTT, but this constant issue is making me do so.

I remember when IFTTT was THE automation service. So many integrations, great features, easy to use, and at the time, it was free. For what I have been using it for, it worked well for me, even with my number of applets reduced to 6. Throttling free-tier users into only 2 applets just reeks of corporate greed. I wouldn't mind paying a small one-time fee to permanently unlock 6 applets again, or even ads in the app, but IFTTT doesn't do enough to merit a monthly charge. I'm deleting my account.

Very limited functionality. It seems like the free version is only capable of doing stuff my phone already does automatically (turn wi-fi on/off when arriving/leaving home, turning on DND, etc.) If you want it to do anything actually practical you're going to have to pay for Pro or Pro+. Seems useful for automating smart lights, but that's it. It also seems like you're unable to delete applets- which you only get a limited number of in the free version.

Going subscription? You can keep it. [DELETE] This is going to be a great system. Not there yet. I have problems with reliability. Apps do not run when the parameters are met even with the background option turned on. Further, the need to be able to make chain conditions became evident very quickly (if this & this but not this, then this or this). Can't wait to see the growth!

This used to be the absolute best free and easy to use automation app; however, recent changes made it more or less pay to use. I had used the app and service for six years, but not anymore. I uninstalled the app when it chose the two applets I could use today. I disabled the two enabled applets and wanted to re-enable the two I wanted to use for the new free tier, but the app would not let me turn those on without subscribing to the pro version. Choose another automation app.

Limited functionality + consistently taking away content from loyal customers. I've been using IFTTT for almost 2 years, I've had both a Pro & Pro+ membership at different points depending on what features I needed or didn't need. Despite my loyal support I have had something scaled back to a lower limit or had access to a feature removed that I previously had access to. Seems greedy and definitely doesn't encourage me to want to spend any more money with you.

I've used it for years and it was great to automatically silence and turn on my ringer at appropriate times and places. This morning, I woke to an email saying I've been inactive for a while (why mess with something that's working?) and everything's been turned off. I can't turn anything back on without a subscription. $170/year is way too much. Guess it's time to uninstall this app.

It's challenging to form an opinion on this app without access to a trial or purchasing it. The potential remains unclear, and judging by its GUI, I'd hesitate to risk a trial. The fear of forgetting and getting billed for something that may not meet expectations is a concern. What little you can do without upgrading is unappealing. Or you get constant issues or errors when trying to connect to what little it allows.

I've always had the feeling that this push to "the cloud" was a trap and not to be trusted. This app is the very example of that. I always thought it odd that I needed to reach out to the Internet to access a device in my own home on my own subnet. The reason is now obvious. These companies want to insert themselves as the unnecessary middleman between you and your devices so they can charge fees. I got hit just like many others. Unbelievable! ONE STAR!!!

I've been using this for years, but it mysteriously quit working. So, I open the app and find out that I now have to buy a subscription for something I've been using for at least 10 years. No heads up or warning, not even a notification to check the app for updates. It just stopped working & they're holding my applets for ransom. Horrible!

Previous: works good with my Blink camera system. Works good with Strava bike rides. Works good with Sengled lighting. Now: I was previously on the pro legacy plan at $1.99 per month. At the beginning of the year they upped my rate to $3.99 without telling me. I don't use any extra services or features other than I use for the previous $1.99 plan and have less than 20 processes active. Not happy with the unexpected rate increase.

Things sure have changed. IFTTT has lost support for a number of the things I used to use it for, which definitely reduces its value. Then, despite being far less useful than before, they decided to double my monthly payment - despite having agreed in a promotional offer 3 years ago that I was locked into the lower rate "for life." Do you know what "for life" means, IFTTT? Because I'm still alive. Maybe it's YOU who died. IFTTT is failing fast. Do not resuscitate.

Gotta knock the rating down tremendously. When it worked it WAS great. Now, well . . . They just put a bunch of standard features behind a paywall, breaking a bunch of automations that I've had for a few years. Yea-no, not okay. Zero heads up either to preemptively migrate anything whatsoever. I don't want another subscription. I'll find an alternative.

Doesn't even offer basic functionality. I'd like to run a device for 15 minutes, then turn it off for 15 and repeat. It also doesn't allow for actions based on temperature or humidity of my other smart devices. I'd love to turn on a humidifier if humidity drops below X, or turn on a fan if temperature is above X. Fairly basic stuff here for an app that's been around for a hot minute.

Extremely frustrating to get applets turned off with no errors or explanatian and no notification. Even more when the only info goes to generic instructions or says to contact them for help and they also have no clue without an error, now I can't justify renewing Pro Membership. Too many times now it has failed and the level of concern or care when asking for help isn't here. Used to absolutely love this app. Hands down, easy favorite. I'll be canceling if my next ticket is handled the same.🤞
