This app is totally awesome and the support is just amazing. I use this often and as a back up. The only thing I have against it is the download sizes. My work has super fast internet and selecting 13 states took 5 hours to download with no option to back the files up. Other than that, I'm totally impressed. Thank for the hard work. A+++

I've been using this app for a number of years. It's very user friendly and easy to work with. The company is awesome about keeping things updated, and are great to communicate with if you need anything. Personally I feel like it had several features that are better than foreflight, although opinions may vary. You will not regret trying it out!

For an aviation APP, this is a very handy/useful, full featured, easy to use tool for Pilots. Not sure how they may improve this app moving forward, but I am sure will be awesome. A well desrved 5-stars. Should anything change or if I have any issues, I will edit here and contact iFLY GPS and let them know. (using with a snappy 8" Galaxy Tab).

The facility I fly for provides iPads with Foreflight, but I have never been an Apple fan. I gave it a shot, but started looking for an android version of Foreflight and found iFLY GPS. I have been using iFLY GPS for couple of years now and personally prefer it over Foreflight. I find iit be be more user friendly and over time they have added a lot of the same features as Foreflight. I highly recommend it.

Won't run at all on my android galaxy s10. Can't figure it out, no support response whatsoever. Runs ok on my ipad so its not a subscription issue its s software issue.. ..wow. UPDATE Thanks for the fast response. Apparently emails from months ago on my first inquiry into this got lost in my gmail filter. (beware of gmail) I did get a connected and they forward me that email and figured the S10+ doesn't work well with the aux SD card. so my Rating gets updated here to a 5 star. Thanks for getting back!

Awesome software. I have iFly and Foreflight on one of my tablets and iFly is easier for me to customize and use....and my subscription pays for 4 tablets vs one in Foreflight. I keep Foreflightvfor one reason only, ot offers SAR searc capabilities that iFly jas been promising for years....but hasn't delivered. Get that and i can ditch Foreflight.

Student pilot here. My instructor turned me on to this EFB and it's been a wonderful and powerful tool on my journey to getting my PPL. I usually dread getting app updates with other apps on my phone because they are usually only "bug fixes" that usually turn into bug implants, with no improvements. But I actually get excited when I see an update for this app because it ALWAYS includes functional improvements and additions. It's like Christmas!

iFly is a fabulous app! I was away from flying for about eight years and when I decided to start again I found that paper charts were no longer used. I downloaded iFly for my first flight and found it very intuitive and had a lot of features. That was about six years ago and I have used it ever since. Love it!

I had an issue with the update to iFLY EFB that was quickly resolved. Support has been very responsive to any issue I've raised. I still would like to be able to insert comments in the 'other' field and have been advised that is in the works. Otherwise, it is a fantastic app that is very intuitive and easy to use. I've tried Avare and Garmin Pilot, and this app was my final choice to use, especially flying multiple different aircraft. Flight planning and filing is wonderful.

in a saturated Market with numerous applications it's really hard to know if you're getting the right application. this app does exactly what it says it does in the description. I recommend purchasing a pro version if there is or will be one. The learning curve, (acclimation) is easily accomplished and the interface is intuitive. Fantastic software!

Been using VFR for a few years on my Android phone. App has always been stable with no inflight issues. Have used on several coast to coast flights with multiple legs. Easy to use with most features intuitive. Learning curve is short. Doesn't significantly add to pilot inflight workload. Only real negative for me is its airport taxi view capability which is aerial photo based and which is not particularly useful. App is compatible with a Dynon DRX portable ADS-B receiver. Good simple app.

Have used for a while now. with just a few, small changes it would be a formidable contender for the best of breed. But there are puzzling omissions, such as a useable nav log. currently only has track, but no WCA. So strange, particularly for something that features multiple level flight planning and cross platform support with cross-device data sharing.

I love this app and have used it exclusively for several years after trying Garmin Pilot. It is very stable, easy to use, intuitive, and the folks at Adventure Pilot are super nice and always ready to help if needed. I have this app on my Galaxy tablet, cell phone, and laptop and it works great on all of them. I have a Stratux ADS-B receiver in my Cardinal and the traffic and weather are a lifesaver. I'd highly recommend this app and company to pilots if they want a simpler, yet powerful copilot.

After testing over the 30 day trial period, I switched to iFly GPS. It works well, is intuitive and has lots of useful features. I had been using Garmin Pilot for Android for a few years, but it lacks certain features and won't work with non-Garmin devices like my Stratux. In contrast, Stratux and iFly GPS worked well with no fuss, from the start, increasing my traffic and weather awareness. Also, I noticed a glitch with iFly GPS. Customer service responded, troubleshot, fixed, and communicated the fix immediately. That is rare. iFly GPS also appears genuinely interested in fulfilling their customer wish lists, such as upcoming nav logs. So far, so good.

I've been using iFly for about 4 years, frequently flying from Maine to Florida & Louisiana. Pared with my Stratux and now a Stratus ESG and running on an Samsung Android tablet and Samsung cell, I've been able to plan and safely execute all my cloud dodging missions. A great bonus is the ADS-B recording capability, allows me to review my flights and see what I might have missed. Price is right too.

Fantastic App! I’ve been using this for several years, and it works seamlessly with my Rangr ADSB and WAAS, and of course the tablet’s GPS if you don’t have ADSB. The default settings give you a nice moving map without having to navigate any menus, and you can also sketch on the map or an empty screen to take notes. It’s full featured for flight planning, much easier to navigate than Fore Flight, and you don’t have to use an iPad. Sorry Apple, I tried an iPad, it gets too hot, it overheats, the screen is polarized in one direction (bad for sunglasses), there’s no SD slot and everything has to be dragged through iTunes. Talk about restricting your freedom to fly. Meanwhile, with iFly GPS you can use any device you like and get great performance. It’s seems like every year new features are added, so it keeps getting better all the time.

Though it seems most other pilots I know use the other "big" app (that starts with an "F"), I never jumped on that bandwagon, partly because I'm not interested in buying an ipad just to run it. One of the best features of iFly GPS that lured me in is how it works on multiple device types, including Android. I can run it on both my Android phone and Android tablet at no extra cost, and it has all the features I desire most: georeferenced charts (vfr and ifr), ADS-B datalink, and overall ease of use. I've been using this app for several years and hope it keeps staying awesome!

12/27/2019: By far the best Android app. The new upcoming release should be a good improvement. The hope it does not trade rock solid performance for troublesome bells and whistles. 1/25/2017: New version has some very important feature enhancements. After 9 months since previous update, I was hoping for a waypoint shareing method. 12/18/2016: Updates and features are not happening fast enough. Although still the best app on Android and am gladly paying for multiple subscriptions.

Still not a contender to replace or even backup Garmin Pilot or Foreflight. Costs as much as GP with only 2 devices vs 3 on GP. No icing, generally poor WX feature, TFRs, and lacks other features. Updates take forever. The main reason for trying was it works with Stratux. Fltplan Go is still superior and free, but still not a replacement for GP or FF. After response from developer, I'll try it again after the next release.

Best android alternative available, I recently purchased it for the year for getting my private pilot. I wish as part of trip planning, it could provide nav logs with details of calculations for wca, mag variation, mag course and mag heading. Also, I'm currently getting time out errors when trying to get briefings on trips that include long/lat waypoints. Edit: thanks for the reply!
