Another update and yet again removing something that makes using the app easy, alerts have now been removed from the drop-down menu. No thought for the user, again. Even the Developer email address does not work, why do they bother. My reply from "Pepper" suggested contacting the developer, I have already highlighted that the email address does not work, brilliant.

Removing compact view is a big mistake. Find now that I cannot bother to scroll through the deals and only look when a keyword triggers an alert. Also, with the app update I have found that trying to refresh a page more often than not flicks to another page (i.e. Hot to New, or Hot to Highlights). Finally, there used to be a time when the app remembered the last deal you got to so all you had to do was scroll up to see all the new deals since. Never understood why they changed that

Please remove the over-zealous horizontal swiping. It's virtually unusable. Swipe left or right is not needed - if I want to change tabs, I can click on them at the top. Also, the loss of the compact view is a big step backwards. You speak of agile development, listen to the feedback from your stakeholders (your users) - it's pretty clear from the recent reviews.

Compact view removed in latest update. Now there is too much wasted space, not enough detail on screen and too much scrolling to browse anything. Looks like I've zoomed in by 200%. Any update that causes one to use more time and effort to access the same data is not a good update. Luckily I have been able to restore a backup from a week ago so for now at least, I can use compact mode again and don't need to scroll, scroll and scroll, just to view the lists.

Have used the website for many years and it's great! Though I do always seem to have problems with the app. For the past few weeks most of the time when I click 'get deal' it says it can't, that it got interrupted or cannot be reached! Very annoying! Have tried uninstalling and installing again but still have same problem. Interestingly I don't have this problem on iOS.

The removal of compact view makes it so much more difficult to quickly browse through deals. I simply can't understand what benefit there is to having so much wasted space. Also, there seems to be an issue where making the slightest movement to the left or right when scrolling causes you to change tabs completely. Combine this with how much longer it already takes to browse and it makes the user experience utterly painful at times. May have to revert back to an earlier version.

Unfortunately the keyword alerts aren't working. Though this seems to be more to do with the site itself, rather than the app. They're not working in the app, on desktop (PC - Chrome) and also not working for my other half. I've tried logging out/in (in app and on PC browser), deleting and reinstalling the app on the phone. No dice. Please fix! I love the site/app and have just moved house so need lots of deals and alerts!

No way to sort hot items by temp. Seems simple feature but never implemented and then makes you scroll forever. Admins appear highly political, currently seeking different app after using for over 10 years

Used to be a great place for finding deals, now it's run by a bunch of wokies on a power trip! Everything from deleting friendly banter messages in the forum to deals they don't agree with because of some petty rule they have made up and feel the need to not allow the public to get a real bargain. I swear the site is moderated by offended Facebook employs! You're honestly better off finding your own deals than using this site, it's just got too big for it's boots! 👎🐂💩

There are inappropriate items on sale on this app and I just reported it and it was not taken down... LEAVE THIS APP ALONE... especially from children.. vile

This will seem petty but its worked for me with other apps, themeable icons have been a feature for over a year now and you guys still don't support it creating an eye sore on my home screen. If you correct that I'll change this to 5 stars. Edit: Developer delivered!

Used to be good, but they are so controlling I've stopped posting deals and they censor discussion threads so heavily it isn't either as useful nor enjoyable as it was. Looking forward to an alternative springing up, that brings back a more user centered experience like it used to be.

The alert number on the 🔔, no longer clears when you open it. You now have to select every alert which is so annoying. Please fix, it never used to do this.

Why have you messed up the app! Used to save recent searches as a list with nice little store icons now it's changed to something shorter and often need manually searching again. Most regressive step in years!

No option to hide used/refurbished often sc*m deals! Clicking on the comment button opens the deal at the bottom of the last comment instead of at the top for 5 months unsolved. All comment notifications don't point to the exact place they refer to for months unsolved. Also new way of displaying comments on separate screens even for a single reply is so wrong and annoying! Massive way back! Changelog doesn't reflect real changes, instead repeats the same screens every update.

Been trying this instead of the website. I appreciate the relatively small app size and its punchy response but usability is poor in comparison to the website so I'm uninstalling this and will stick with the website. Bug: Do a search, set local deals filter switch to off. Close app. Open app and do search again - local deals filter is switched back on. I'm not the only one to point this out.

Used to be an excellent app, seems now to be streams of Amazon deals, or things that you have to subscribe to get the best prices, are Amazon staff posting all these deals? Used to enjoy getting real bargains, it now seems like an Amazon advertising platform.

You are bombarded with daily digests and random deals throughout the day which makes the app an annoyance. Update: Thanks for the reply Pepper. You can turn off "suggestions from the team" under separate "Android notifications" menu (I was looking under "hotukdeals notifications"). A bit confusing but it worked. Rating revised.
