More About Homeless Resources-Shelter App
App Users can switch from List View to Map View and can filter services that are just open from the side menu. Users can click on any service to get details like contact info, transit directions and schedule for that service. Flag button on Home Screen will help you connect to the App Admin or Service Provider for that resource. Users can click on Kudos button to show appreciation for the services they like. If you want to mark any service for future reference, click on the star icon in service detail page to add them to My Favorites.
If you are doing community service and interested in listing your service, you can add/manage a service by signing up in the app. You can also update the number of beds available for shelters that you manage. All details entered by the service providers will take some time to get approved before getting published in the app. If you have any questions or see information that is not up to date, please report changes using Give Feedback in side menu.

Can't get this damn app off my laptop. EVERY TIME I open my internet... there it is. There seems to be no way to uninstall it. The resources aren't good for anybody not homeless or addicted to drugs.

This app is TRASH...IT'S REALLY NOT HELPFUL @ ALL.... DISAPPOINTED THEY'RE WASTING PEOPLE'S TIME WHEN THEY'RE LOOKING 4 HELP IN TIME OF CRISIS.😕 I reside in CT. and I know 100% that there's a lot of help 4 people it's just hard 2 find....This app shows nothing for Hartford which is the capital, & nothing for Waterbury which is a very busy area with rehab's an shelters & nothing for Torrington Either which I know has a soup kitchen an a place to wash ur body & clothes...

This app means we'll but on almost every catagory it refers everyone to "the empowerment program". I used to live nextdoor to them and they do not empower all. It's basically another gov fed good ole girls that won't lift a finger for a man in trouble. I went homeless next door and asked for help, and got nothing. It was admitted to me by some honest employees that they were supposed to help men but won't. To rely upon that place to help homeless isn't wise.

If I could give zero Stars, I would. You have almost nothing for Tucson, Arizona. Please let me know When you actually have something for my area. I think what you're trying to do here is awesome And could be very useful for those of us on the streets That just happen to have a problem. I think that this app could be very useful to a lot of the people out here on the streets of Tucson. But you need to actually have information to help us. Please find me information that you can get ASAP

IDK I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO USE IT! I TRIED TO OPEN IT TO USE IT. AND THERE WAS A CONTINUOUS ERROR TO BE ABLE TO FIND THE WEBSITE. SO I UNINSTALLED IT, FOR NOW! I DO HOPE YOU WILL FIND THE PROBLEM, OR WEATHER OR NOT, IT WAS JUST ME OR EVEN A FLUCK! OUT OF ALL THESE SIMILAR TYPES OF PROGRAMS, I HAVE TO ADMIT; YOURS SOUNDED THE BEST! THANKS AND KEEP ON TRYING_!

Homeless not Hopeless/Helpless in Fresno, CA. This app. has the right idea but needs much more criteria. Needs more shelters; would help if there were more detox programs*along w/ individuals acting as mentors. Helping w/ tranportation 2 help meet scedules on time & in proper conditions. When i see 4 myself changes are being made I'll upgrade my rating 2 5stars~ Im hopeful this app. will give "US" homeless something posotive we can come 2 rely on & trust in....*God Bless All*

The app has really outdated info and in nyc you should have all updated info, with all the resources available theres no excuse you are playing with peoples lives giving out info that they rely on but its old news and unreliable you always apologize for the inconvinience I feel if you were homeless it would be more than an inconvinience.

I'm sure the intention of this app is wonderful but I can't get the app to work at all. I tried and retried all options and all it says ( paraphrasing) SERVICES NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS LOCATION. So I am very positive that none of these services are available for the ENTIRE SAINT LOUIS, MO area. This right here alone shouts SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG cuz I can assure the devs that there is all kinds of help available. I will be glad to update if this can be resolved. This is an ANDROID DEV

This wasn't a good resource for what I was needing at all. And the chat service automotive wasn't even putting in all of the words. It's okay, I'll keep searching. The app wasn't good at all overall. Hopefully it'll be good for someone else. I can find a river somewhere.

I'll give you three stars only because I believe your heart is in the right place. There is, however, next to nothing for my area, though I know of several resources and food pantries in my town that failed to come up. As a matter of fact, when I clicked on food pantries , it said that there was nothing in my area when I can think of five off the top of my head. I tried to send feedback through the app, but then it froze, causing me to log out of the app and now considering deletion.

This is an excellent app. It's like God send for many people who are struggling with resources. The developers seem to have taken care of many little aspects. Yes, it's not available in all areas but it looks like they are building new features constantly. Thanks for all you guys are doing.

I tried this app for a couple months,and cannot count how many times I walked or took a bus to one of their listed churches or resource centers that offered showers or clothing or food giveaways,only to find they changed the hours or days ,and couldn't help me! Finally,I gave up on the Strappd app because I couldn't count on the information in it. Massive waste of time..

Definitely a very helpful app for those in need. I myself am a mother who is in need of resourcing however I found out that my county actually doesn't have very many resources for what I'm looking for. I highly recommend this app for anybody who needs resourcing whether it's closed or food or housing this app can be very helpful!!!

"net::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTED" when going to any website through the app. Pretty good otherwise. People have a misunderstanding of this app that are saying it's trash and worthless. "NOTHING IN MY AREA IT'S TRASH" No offense, but based off that, I can see why you're homeless. It seems like a small team put this together. Not a giant corporation. I could be wrong. So give it some time for improvements. If a corporation put this out, then I'd say yeah, no good. Keep up the good work!

Needs more options it only gives you schedules most know of. And alot are missing. Didn't help me at all. Not updated or anything for Corona quarantine and several things OLYMPIA, WA does offer are not listed. It just lists the places every city in America offers pour or homeless people. Like the Mission, Salation Army, well duh who doesn't have one of these.

This takes a bit to organize then it works very well for finding services in your area with decently updated information. I was impressed with the application. I have been homeless in my area for almost 20yrs. The information is top drawer and the app is easy to use to find shelter for the night.

Only has US shelter info, not particularly useful in the UK, EU, BR or anywhere else. Not a fully up to date list either, missing at least one LGBT shelter in Pittsburgh. If this app ever includes shelters and services in other countries too at least, it would make a lot of difference

Utilized correctly in every city by adding all of each city's programs could make this the best and most useful app for anyone that needs any type of assistance in any city. To the developers please contact me if you would like my opinion on how to make his one of the most used apps worlwide. I was houseless and wish something like this was out there when I needed it I would love to share my ideas to help better this and make you number 1!!
