I recently started using hitch for my occasional trips across cities in texas, and I've been impressed with their service. The app is user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to book a ride. The vehicles have always been clean and well-maintained, which makes for a comfortable ride. I especially appreciate the transparent pricing; I can see an estimate of my fare before I book, and there have been no surprise charges.

I am kind of happy with the app. It's easy to use, easy to schedule a ride. Once you book the car, doesn't matter how many people come with you. Splitting between friends becomes cheaper. However, if I cancel the ride and I am eligible for a refund, the refund is given in terms of Hitch credits. I would have liked to get the money back into my mode of payment. I no longer live in Texas and so I just have the money sitting in the wallet, doing nothing.

I hate driving. Loathe it. Especially on long distances. Hitch is a lifesaver because it enables me to traverse between cities with ease and comfort. I can let someone else deal with the traffic while I relax comfortably in the back seat. This service is a great option for last-minute trips when airfare is outrageous, or when simply opting for a quick getaway. I recommend Hitch for professionals who need to travel but prefer to avoid crowds, students, and people going on "local" vacations.

Hitch is the best and most affordable option for to travel between cities. Hitch made my life easy to commute between cities. Though there are limited pickup and drop off points, they door by pickup and drop off options as well. Earlier I felt the support team is not so great but they keep on solidifying the customer support experience as well. Overall its great thumbsup for Hitch. I hope they continue you to provide affordable rides even in future.

The app is too buggy for me to comfortably use this again. And for a product that is built to bring you many miles away AND BACK, this is a serious issue. First off, I had to book on desktop bc app wasn't working. On the return trip, the app was so buggy I couldn't tell where my driver was or contact him. He drove away. Customer service did assist. Two drivers cancelled. I hated that customer service signed off for the night before she showed up. Finally Misty picked us up and she was great.

I have used this app about 4 times & it gets the job done for a cheap price which I can appreciate. However, it is LAGGY. I have to close the app every time I want the GPS to update. Sometimes my drive comes off as cancelled. I cannot view previous rides. I cannot tip drivers or rate them when prompted. I thought it might be so laggy cause I have a very old phone, but even my partner with an iPhone 13 pro max struggles with the same issues. Even drivers have told me they do not trust the app.

As a driver, this app is unpolished. Notifications tell you to "tap to learn more" but lead you to the homepage, leaving you to fend for yourself. Leaving the app at all resets it, meaning you have to tap a dozen times to re-enter nav during a trip, which is unsafe. You'll get informed of a ride but aren't told any other info, meaning you have to tap through each city to see where it might be. Nav must be screen-on, which makes your phone hot to the touch. Support, however, is always excellent.

The service is a standout based on the price. The drivers are inconsistent but not objectionable. They are not precise about pickup times in reality. They also have arbitrary Hitch pickup and drop-off locations which reduce the price and you can't use a custom pick-up location (like your home or office or actual town) unless the trip is over 50 miles and then with a large up-charge. Best for long trips if you live in a town they service.

As a driver, its a very inflexible app. The qpp is very restrictions on picked up or dropped off passenger. The app encourages you to "hit the road" and "get driving" but when you actually start you realize how stuffy and restrictive the app and culture is The customer service is snappy rude dismissive and unforgiving. They refuse to help at times and will just tell you to go read through pages and pages of help articles, even when on the road.

I suppose the only good thing about Hitch is the drivers -- everything else is incredibly frustrating. Though Hitch *is* cheaper than Megabus, dealing with the app and with customer service seems to not be worth (for example, my driver made a mistake and marked me as no show -- no warning, no call, no nothing. I had to be the one to ask CS about my ride. Their only solution was a $30 credit towards a $165 same-day ride.) Good concept, but they seriously need work on their app and CS (SERIOUSLY).

*The app needs improvements can't drive between nearby cities. *Locations aren't accurate sometimes, especially at airports, you can't start any trip unless you're at the exact pick up location. *Customers tips take 3 to 4 business days to show on your earnings, customers usually don't tell when they tip, so I don't know if I am gonna get scammed or not (being honest). *The app won't allow you to accept more trips as long as you have one for that day, even if my accepted trips are late day.

The hitch link is excellent. If there is a delay or cancellation by the driver, the folks at Hitch work hard to get another driver as soon as possible to your original departure time. The only downside is that the site does not allow drivers to pick you up at your actual address and you need to keep checking the app to see the status of your driver. The drivers are very animated and attentive to the passenger needs. Definitely worth your time and effort.

I've used hitch 3 times now, but I actually haven't been able to book any rides myself. Keep getting an "internal server error" and my dad has had to book and transfer to my name by contacting customer support each and every time. The app will say on time even when the ride is delayed (which they always are by an hour if not more), ETA's are just flatout wrong, and even simple things like copying addresses for the dropoff locations aren't even possible. Only reason I use it is because it's cheap

Cheapest way to travel between cities in texas. Rides are scheduled in specific times in a day, so you could choose among those options. It's not the app which you could use to book a ride immediately but if you are booking ahead then it's the best one. The only trouble is that the most of the drivers doesn't arrive on the schedule time.

This app has been very useful for me. I live far from airport and always had trouble finding a ride. I have used their service multiple times now and the rides are perfect. However, I'd like to point out that the app has a lot of glitch and hangs up. Otherwise pretty good service and customer support.

I have been using Hitch for over 4 years now (I initially signed up as a driver). I use it mainly to travel between San Antonio TX and Austin. It has been EXTREMELY convenient for me not only because of the ease of use, but because it has been easy on my wallet. Over the years they have added more pick up and drop off spots around both cities. They have also added rides to other major cities. I highly recommend Hitch for your commutes between major cities. Especially if you hate crowded buses!

This is a lot like a basic version of Uber that actually offers economical rides between cities. it has made fitting back and forth between Texas cities so muc easier and cheaper and it has become my go-to measof transport. Sometimes the location is gitchy, but the drivers communicate effectively through the app. Room for improvement but very happy overall!

For me, the hitch has been affordable and helped me commute between cities. I like that it has so many locations at same cities. The only difficulty I have been facing nowadays is the driver arrival is late but can't blame them entirely as it's because of traffic conditions. However an early heads up would be appreciated since the pickup locations are a bit away from my place.

While not exactly fixing the tip option persay, they did however, allow me to send a tip later, through their super awesome customer service chat. So far, they've responded quickly every time I've had an issue, and resolved it. They make sure to contact me when my driver will be late too. Which is also pretty cool. I've had a few driver cancel on me, but they were quick to resolve the issue and I really appreciate how quickly they resolve problems.

The experience was good initially but it has degraded significantly. The app is poor and doesnt provide accurate details. The driver tracking is not enabled all the time. It's difficult to communicate with non-english speaking drivers and there is no accountability. They would come at their convenience without following mentioned pickup time. Hitch customer service is also not available at all times. Why would you provide a time slot if you're not available at that time to assist.
