The app is cleverly disguised as "Audio Manager" in the App Drawer.
Disguises itself as an Audio Manager app which can be used to turn the volumes up and down. but if you Long press on the Audio Manager title the actual Hide It Pro app will launch, which is basically your SECRET VAULT of hidden photos, videos, messages, apps etc.
You can Hide photos, videos, or any other files in your Private Vault

It works... I've experienced what others have where your albums seem to disappear from the app once inside, but rest assured THEY ARE NOT GONE OR DELETED. There seems to be a bug in several versions (at least as far back as v7.x) where if you touch any icons in the vault other than photos and videos, it renders the app virtually disabled for unknown reason. You can search online for previous versions. Uninstall from APPs in settings, then reinstall an older version and files should reappear.

I had three files I wanted to hide, two videos and one photo. After going into the app, I added a folder in photos and put all three in. I think that messed the videos up because they were lower quality, so I unhid them to move them to videos where they belong. I tried to add them to a new folder but they weren't there. After looking in the help, it said to reset your phone. After I did, I saw the files again, but the videos wouldn't play and I couldn't recover them. This app is way too buggy to be considered useful, and wasted my time and efforts

App requested a permissions update today, and after updating permissions all of my folders and files are now completely gone. This app usually functions fine, but now I've just lost hundreds of files and don't seem to have any way of getting them back. Last time this happened was a user error with transferring data to a new device, but this time it's an issue with the app itself.

Great app. It would be great if .gif files would continue/loop instead of stopping and requiring you to hit "play" again! Edit: gif files loop now. Yay! New Request: Can you make mp4 and webm videos autoplay when they are added as "pictues"? So many short clips out there and hitting "play video" each time stinks. Updating my review again to include a major issue; files stored on an SD card do not properly hide. The storage has to be internal. Huge drawback making me stop using the app.

It was working perfectly until a couple of months ago, now everytime I create a folder and try to add a file, as soon as I press on gallery the screen goes blank, obviously if you switch task the app closes and you have to start again, if I wait up to five minutes the gallery finally shoes up, but its not practical as you have to constantly touch the screen so it doesnt lock up for inactivity and close the app. UNUSEABLE anymore

Most of the functions work fine for me. So far, I haven't lost any pics or videos that in aware of. I've had some issues in the past, and nearly all have been resolved. I would like to know if there is a way to sort all of the directories of videos and pictures you have, say alphabetically, and have it keep that setting. Currently, all directories become unsorted again as soon as you open one of exit the program. Still, I've bought the paid version of this app, and I don't regret it.

Downloaded this app as a companion app for App Locker. -|- It is not completely ad-free. The ad banner is subtle and not very obtrusive. The only problem is, sometimes it takes a couple seconds for the ad banner to load and when it does it changes the placement of the menu items; sometimes as you are attempting to select one. -|- You CAN NOT hide icons in the app drawer without root access. -|- This app is pretty straight forward and easy to use.

I bought the premium version a few years back. It worked pretty well. I decided to take away my 2 star review for a one star on the grounds I tried to contact the developer several times about the app no longer activating. The ads are minimum but I paid for no ads. I'm not gonna contact them again I'll take the loss and move on. I've noticed a few others having the same problem with no help. This app ain't good enough to pay for twice.

Update: issue fixed! Thanks for the fix! Having the same issue as recent reviews: Existing folders are gone. Tried to build a new folder and see if it would trigger anything but nothing happened. Removed and reinstalled and the new folder also disappeared. Help please. from what I can tell, it's pointing at the wrong location. If there was a way to fix that, it would help. Can't reinstall an older version as it keeps failing unfortunately

I loved this app when they first started. It was perfect, easy to use & did it's job. Now.... plugins don't work or are unavailable. My previous phone recently got waterboarded. All my photos were saved in their so called cloud. They're all gone & can't be recovered. Where did the integrity of this app go? 3/12/22 Update This app can't get any worse. Once again, all photos lost without explanation. DO NOT use this app. I deleting it this time. I'll find another one to use.

Does what it says on the tin, and does it very well. Very smooth interface and interaction. Ad placement could be a little more convenient, but since it's a free app I'm not gonna count that as negative. The only thing I would change is to make it so that you could not see what's been hidden, when checking from your downloads. Very polished app. Effective and very customizable.

Everybody. There is a bug issue. Luggage issue. I looked at the app the app and notice that the issues you guys are saying is correct. But the files are not missing. They are still hidden hidden in your phone. Until the update this you will not see them in the app. For example my files are located in (internal storage>android>Program data>language>FR). They are still technically hidden but they are available there. Hopefully they fixed the app. But you are not missing any files.

Looses my photos This is the second time I've downloaded and does it again. Two different phones. Photos were in vault for months, opened one day and there's nothing in any of my files. AAAAAAHHHHHH! Try a couple of fixes, and app says nothing is lost everything a okay. Still no photos. Would really like to say this app works and is safe to use, but I really can't. Lost a whole bunch of photos, months of work. Poof, gone. ☹️

This App worked OK until my phone crashed. I had saved everything to the SD card, but after reinstalling, the app couldn't find anything. No pictures, no video and no notes. I transferred the SD card to my computer and was able to find a handful of pictures the app could not. I would advise not to put anything in this app you don't want to lose just what you don't want others to accidentally see.

Been using this for 7+ years, and finally retired it today. (Replaced it with LockMyPix) What was once the best and only option for hiding your apps / photos / videos has unfortunately fallen far behind now and should be retooled or retired. It lacks sub-folder organization, has glitchy video playback, and a variety of storage issues. The final nail in the coffin was losing hundreds of files when unhiding in bulk. You were something special, long ago, Hide It Pro. Rest in piece and sleep.

Well just like everyone, last month I woke up to an update, and all my files went missing. Today I followed the recommendation in the app (ONCE IN THE APP, clicked the setting gear, advance setting, find missing files) and waited a few seconds, it recovered all my missing pictures. Needless to say, I am back to loving this app! So I can guarantee you, your files aren't erased, they're just still hiding in the phone.

Loved this app. Used to be able to control gif speed and pinch to enlarge images. Not any more. Doesn't save messages very well either. Should have left it alone. Update, 8/2021 as an audio manager it's pretty good. As a file manager. Not so much. I deleted over 1000 files and double checked to make sure that they were gone. The next day, went to add a file and magically, all the files I deleted were back again... needs a bug fix.

Update: The bug is fixed now. Back to 5 stars again! Please keep doing the amazing work! Previous review: As someone else also pointed out, this app doesn't work on my Samsung S21 after i upgraded to OneUI 6. It asks for permissions and once you allow, it just sits there doing nothing. When you restart the app, the same process repeats. I'm sure it's just a bug which could be resolved soon. Waiting for a quick fix.

This is an awesome app that does what it is supposed to... DO NOT FORGET TO UNHIDE ANY FILES THAT YOU HAVE LOCKED ON AN SD CARD BEFORE MOVING THE CARD TO ANOTHER DEVICE... This app works so well that even installing onto another device with the same pin will not restore the files at that point! They're invisible when plugged into my PC via USB as well! The files that I CREATED to store my photos and vids in the app on my phone can be seen on the PC, but even with show hidden files on. INVISIBLE!

This is an oldie but a goodie. Pretty sure I had this on Froyo, lol. But the thing is, except for some slightly dated looking icons, this app still works as good or better as anything else out there. As far as functionality goes, this app has a plug-in for just about everything. You can hide apps, you can lock apps, you can encrypt files, and you can even disguise the app as a fully functioning audio manager that had independent control of every audio stream your device has.
