Great app for recording mp3s without the need of having to convert the auido files for other platforms. Sound quality is as good as any other mp3 file but most phone's mics are not that great, unless it is capturing conversation or speach. So not sure if I can say anything definitive about quality of sound. Easy to use. Limited length in free version. Device: Samsung S8

Good app. Advantages over some other voice recorders are microphone gain setting, wide range of audio formats, supports storage of sound files in memory card and hosts a web page over Wi-Fi to serve up the sound files for download to other devices on the same network. Also ties into DropBox and Google Drive. Disadvantage is the lack of a basic editor.

I would like to know the reason why there's difference in recording quality from the app recently. I can see major differences in the sound recording samples in my room. I use it for my drums in treated room. The quality has changed when compared to recent audio recordings with last month's with the same settings. I can share audio files for reference. This is very disappointing. I thought this was the only app which could record my drums clearly without distortion but that is no more the case.

Perfect app for recording band rehearsals and quick demos. Really easy to use, perfect level of control. I like being able to adjust the input gain so the mic attenutation doesn't stuff up the recording. Excellent way to easily record rehearsals - don't need to remember to share with the rest of the band afterwards as the tracls are automatically uploaded to Google Drive. Great!

A friend of mine, a musician and singer, says this is the only phone app that records her voice in a way that she likes. So I think this app is quite good for recording guitar songs and it will make the best recording possible given the hardware specifications. I also like the cloud sync, hidden mode, quick launch button and some other functions. Got the paid version few years ago.

One of the features this app offers is the input level control. You might assume this does something different from what it actually does. I assumed it would allow me to reduce the signal coming into the phone via the headphone mic connection, and thus prevent distortion in the recording. But in fact it doesn't do that (at least, not on my phone). The attenuation happens *after* the phone's input stage has already distorted. In that respect, this app offers nothing over the built-in Android app.

I do wish people would learn how their phone works before leaving bad reviews. Audio recorders by their nature require file storage and access permissions. Otherwise how will they save your vital recordings about The New World Order? Anyway, I installed this as an alternative to Samsung's excellent Voice Recorder app to record my songs on, as it has more output and cloud storage options. It is simple to use, and should I wish to record a 20 minute prog rock epic, I will happily pay to upgrade.

I downloaded 2 recording apps to compare how they recorded acoustic guitar. One of them was this app, the other was the highly-touted recorder first used in in the pixel 4. Each was laboring equally under the sound quality limitations that come with using any phone's mic and speaker. Still, I preferred this High-Q recorder to the Pixel recorder. High-Q has a warmer sound with a better balance between highs and lows. The Pixel had a colder sound and sometimes sounded harsh.

This is a trouble free app! Finally! If you want to record vocals while you're playing this is your app! The replay quality is excellent for a free app as long as you don't over modulate...it has a digital meter that helps keep you out of the red. I play bass and I don't have to sacrifice my bottom end to get a decent recording. I would be surprised if you don't like this app.

The ability to decrease input gain and use dual mic stereo recording is abosutely wonderful - allows me to record a full rock band using Pixel 3 phone with quality comparable to or better than specialized recorders like Zoom. Unfortunately Drive upload doesn't work for me - it hangs in either "waiting for server to confirm" or "SIGN_IN_REQUIRED" errors.

So far so good, I will say that the audio quality is freaking excellent. I am a guitar player with nearly thirty years experience and I can actually record electric guitar on this and it sounds great. Hopefully the app continues to work as well as it does now. No adds or purchases, really good app. I recommend that if you want to get a real working recorder app... that you dwnld this app. You won't be sorry.

Sadly, this great app is no longer supported by the developer. It hasn't been updated since 16-Sep-2020 and its functionality is deteriorating. I've used Hi-Q for many years and loved it, but the auto-upload to DropBox feature stopped working in April 2022 (as reported by others) and support requests via both the app and the website have received no response. As much as I like Hi-Q, I recommend you find another audio recorder with updated software and Customer Service.

Mostly good, & free! But since text messaging won't let you use these past about 1:02, I'd really like it to be able to cut some length off. Also, the automatic upload to Dropbox and particularly drive would be great, if it allowed you to be able to choose to designate which folder it went to. Last but not least I wish you could review Google for this pathetic text box where you can't hardly select just the word or section that you want to, w/o it automatically selecting everything🙄🙄

Great for transcribing music and self analysis. It's fast no ads interrupting, it has lots of great features looping, fine control of tape head, playback speed, easy transfer to a different device, and control of device for output. It's not the best transcription app (pitch control, eq, looping in increments smaller than 2 seconds, waveform to visualize location) but it's the best recorder for my purposes. Glad I switched. Whatever mixing they do on the audio sounds a lot better than others.

Good quality audio, 10 minutes is great for the free version. Playback features are excellent.... I feel that the Pro version is totally worth it. Check out the various menus and documentation at their website for a number of neat functions you may not have noticed. I've been using it for 4 months now and couldn't be more pleased.

So far I like the format options; the interface is quite user-friendliness. Planning on upgrading soon. Important point for developers: I was using another voice memo app before this one until they started hiding the files in a way making it impossible to access unless you're a very tech savvy individual if at all. I will never be using them again since I lost many very Important files I may never have access to. Do not ever do that with this app please. It would be a horrible disservice.

I like the recording results on this better than the highly touted "Recorder". I like the gain control. My guitar recordings were much more balanced, though I would really like it if it had tone controls or an equalizer. In fairness, "Recorder " focused on it's transcription function more than its sound quality. And obviously, both are limited by the quality of the phone mic and speakers.

I absolutely love the app. After recording I am able to: rename the track, cut, speed up as well as replay 10 seconds ahead/back on the track I had recently recorded. I did find out later that I was able to adjust the mic sensitivity in the app and how many dB's it can recieve. There's a lot more in the app I've yet to explore, but other than that- this is a great app to use if you don't have any special equipment/software for recording.

Just installed the app... looks like a pretty cool recorder. I like that I can move the app to my SD card, and store files on my card, too! Nice! Unfortunately, I had to uninstall a few other recording apps because they wouldn't permit me to move the app to my SD Card OR move the files folder to my card. Not Nice!! I also tried (and love!) the very easy and flawless Wi-Fi Transfer feature this app offers. Now, if you offered some song memo features (like iOS Music Memos) this would be perfect!

I love this app. I liked it better prior to getting this phone. Maybe there was an update.. seems sort of an extra step, to select play after song selection. Before I just went to my list, chose it and could play or pause without a pop up screen ..I don't know... Maybe it's just me..I don't like change. Lol...I do still love the app. tho. The sound quality is awesome. I use it a lot to record rehearsals. To the owners; Thank you! ..I really appreciate it!
