I thought I would be able to choose a play style similar to civ. Instead, this app is strictly ad based and you play a tiny map that they give you ( perhaps tutorial?? ). I've played 3 battles and I'm very unimpressed. I know the devs will say "you don't have to watch the ads". But if you don't, you miss out on large portions of the game. Make the game more free style play with random maps and A LOT fewer ads, and I'll give it a better rating. But as it is now, I don't really like it.

Decent mechanics, no progression. This game is built around watching ads at every conceivable step to maximize your resources, you can skip a good portion of the ads but the game will be painfully slow to build. The gameplay is okay but I found that I could beat every level with no real city or empire building. Each match was too short for any of the buildings to matter. The lookout towers do literally nothing, the FoW is already removed for the areas the towers would otherwise "reveal"

This game is fun, the matches save when you close the app so you can pick them up where you left off, and the gameplay is rather enjoyable. On the other side, you can win the game by watching ads repeatedly to save your troops, and at a certain point purchases are required to get the levels needed for your units to defeat the enemy. The ads are overwhelming at times and they cannot be skipped. This is a pretty frustrating set of circumstances when I would like to remove all ads.

This game has been great, now all of a sudden it is completely impossible to play. I am on the final board of level 17 hard and within 5 turns all the AI's have an insane number of generals. Also they seem to have 4 or more settlements that are at level 5 or higher. Not sure how this is possible. Was a fun game, challenging, but still playable. I think I am giving it another day and then deleting forever. Also the AI is no longer following the rules for combat set forth by the game.

I like this game quite a bit. I wish you would add a mode to the game that let you choose the size of the map, the ammount of opponents, and difficulty. I'd be playing bigger maps and against more opponents as soon as I installed the game, instead of wasting time going thru the levels. Some of the smaller maps are just to easy. But I can't complain, I'm enjoying it so far.

Game is fun, ads are bearable; would help if EVERYTHING didn't need an ad. Overall game experience is fun, leveling up is easy, the characters are definitely cartoonie and game-like. Maybe a note to developers, give more rewards for lengthy games/levels, that way the ad-watching can be toned down a bit. Map game play is excellent and on par with most other games in this sub-genre. Would love to see maybe a mine or some sort of placement within the lakes/ocean areas for defense.

All you're doing is playing a bot. If you had the option to play other players like polytopia that would be fun but after a few levels it's actually boring playing bots. Also I don't mind watching a few ads and you get chests and but ads pop up alot. I like the graphics and customizing your characters but it was to repetitive for me and to many ads. Uninstalled.

Ad portrayed this game to be a casual idle upgrading sim. Instead, I get an obnoxious turn based strategy tower defense that's more confusing than even the worst strategy games I've played. And talk about confused, the devs aren't even certain if they want a turn based, tower defense, or village sim, so they just tossed them all together! Get your audience figured out, get your ADVERTISING straightened out, and go take a basic gamedev course jfc.

Starts out fun but then at some point the computer cheats by having an overwhelming starting advantage in funds, units and luck, plus the opponents begin cooperating against you so then you have two or more opponents with far superior numbers, finds, and unit quality. It was fun but not it's just impossible. Even if you back and play earlier scenarios the computer's unfair edge continues... I am uninstalling this game because it no longer plays like a game

Good game, right up until you had to watch an ad every time you finished a match. I used the ads to get ahead, so it's not like they weren't getting ad revenue out of me. That was a bridge too far. Deleted and I'm out. Dont fall into the ad trap. Go find another game where you aren't punished with an ad for winning (and everything else)

I loved the game when I could play it, but the game started freezing after I made a purchase. I went to their Discord to ask for help, but it's been weeks and no response. Others have had this issue, but no one has mentioned it officially, much less offered a solution. They say, ”Oh, we've made an update," but it didn't change my issue.. It's too bad. It's a great game when it worked.

I enjoyed this game for a short time. Graphics are great, and I like the rpg aspect of leveling your characters. I just couldn't handle the constant barrage of ads. I've never experienced another game with such prolific add usage. I was starting to spend a quarter to half my time on this game just watching ads.

The issue I have is when playing hard mode the last two teams end up ganging up on you and it becomes impossible to kill both teams. They're literally in each other's space just fine. Not attacking. So that is frustrating but overall it's a Great game to wast time on. Gotta grind events to make money for upgrades but that's normal.

The gameplay itself is actually really fun. The biggest problem is the amount of ads is overwhelming. The chest mechanic is very obviously monetized which doesn't allow you to play 1 or 2 games at a time. Because of this I am currently looking for a similar game to replace this. Too bad because it has good gameplay, but the in your face nature is a bit over the top.

great game, I pair it with polytopia when I get sick of the ad farm or am playing offline, but at least the ads are a choice and for a decent doubling of rewards and off field build up, not forced. I am kinda sad that my profile reset, but it's been so long since I played last that I guess I'll just restart. no biggie since its not like I would ever pay for anything in a phone game. especially some of the redonkulusly expensive packs...

So the guts of this game are quite good: solid gameplay, decent art style. The issue comes when a couple of weeks in, on a random level, the game starts you against a CPU opponent who clearly has cheated. The opponent rushes you immediately with two premium characters and a character that you could only get 20 turns in. Clearly the designer has started your opponent with the equivalent of $50+ of equipment and 20 turns of building on turn 1. The level is unwinnable unless you pay lots....

Not actually a fair game. One of the game mechanics let me watch as an enemy king took a nearby outpost; and proceededto level up to extreme ability. The AI is old fashion RTS difficult, but it wouldn't be a worry if the turn limit wasn't an insta-kill. This was turning out to be a keeper, but I'm uninstalling after this review.

Pretty good at first, but there's no real strategy. Instead of playing smarter the ai becomes more difficult just by starting out with more powerful units. By playing smartly you can get so far and then you hit a wall where no matter how adept you are tactically the ai will steam roll you with powerful units. A fun game to start but once you hit the wall it's annoying. Don't mind being outplayed but it's rather cheap to lose just because the other side is given more $ and roided out heroes.

Initially though this would be civ 6 lite, but after playing its pretty obvious its just a rip off of polytopia. The devs can't even claim that they independently developed all the same ideas, as polytopia came out FIVE YEARS before this game. I'm still giving it two stars though as they did change a few things, such as adopting a hexagonal board structure and creating a level-based progression as opposed to a scoreboard for polytopia.

I've been enjoying this game more than almost anything else I. have downloaded in a long time! I can play for hours without feeling pressured to spend or view ads, and as a result, I do a LOT of the optional ads. And they ARE optional. Gameplay remains challenging and engaging level after level. I don't feel guaranteed to win, but I know it's all up to my strategy.
