More About Heroes of the Dark: Squad RPG

In an age of dark fantasy, Heroes from the three great factions face off in an endless struggle for power and survival. Whose power will you embrace: the mystic Vampires, the brutal Werewolves, or the cunning Humans?
Heroes of the Dark (HotD) is an RPG game set in a grim Victorian world full of forsaken lands, arcane mysteries, and vile monsters. To survive, you must recruit, equip, and train Heroes from each faction, for only one who can master their combined might will prevail in 5v5 RPG battles and prevent the rise of a grim fate from befalling the land of Tenebris.

A Dark Tale to Challenge your Heroes

Long ago, a great war ended with the moon shattering in the heavens. Its shards rained upon the world, granting the Werewolves untold strength. Thus empowered, the Werewolves drove the Vampires from the land and across the sea to Tenebris. In time, the outcast Vampires rebuilt their society by subjugating the local Humans to their will. But over the years, the Humans forged secret technologies to overthrow their undead masters… and just as the first uprisings began, the Werewolves arrived once more on the Vampires’ doorstep.

Now, as the carnage has reached its peak, a different threat has emerged, one capable of obliterating all three factions from the world. The only hope for any of them is to somehow unite the factions and destroy a legendary weapon hidden within an ancient tower.

Tactical 5v5 Combat with Immortal Heroes

As you journey across Tenebris, dozens of immortal Heroes from all three factions will join your cause. Each has their own unique combat style and skills, like Kha’alil the Werewolf Tank, Lucretia the Vampire Assassin, or Altinay the Human Support.

Assembling an effective role-playing team takes more than throwing your strongest Heroes together. You must make the most of their physical, magical, and support skills, discover powerful synergies, and devise a battle plan that can unleash unspeakable devastation upon any foe!

A Real-Time RPG Adventure

The action never stops in HotD! Day and night, your might grows as Heroes train to level up and explore dungeons to find mighty relics. You can send them on a quest now and check back later to see what weapons, armor, and treasures they’ve unearthed.

And when the going gets tough, the tough call on friends and allies to help defeat even the most massive foe.

Explore Your Epic Magic Mansion

Your epic adventure begins from within a gothic mansion filled with dark magic waiting to be unlocked. As your power grows, you will unlock rooms, allowing you to unite more Heroes of darkness to your cause and granting you additional powers to bestow upon your champions.

Find Friends and Challenge Rivals in a Multiplayer Adventure

As you team up with other HotD players, you can challenge rival teams to 5v5 showdowns where only the most skilled and well equipped players can win! Great rewards await those who claim victory, but only one can claim the ultimate power: “The Heart of Tenebris.”

Heroes of the Dark is available in 12 different languages: English, Русский, Español, Deutsch, Français, Português, Italiano, العربية , 한국어, 简体中文, 繁體中文 and 日本語.

Good graphics, boring grinding game, no ads (yet). There is literally nothing to do here but watch progress bar filling up. Even the fact that you can upgrade and equip your heroes doesn't add much, as fights are auto - you participate but can't control, just observe. A game thousand times played and uninstalled, waste of design resources.

It's nice for a vampire werewolf theme, but it only benefits high level players or veteran players. Starting or low level players will be fodder for high level players even if you are in a guild. It's not balanced in some aspects; like the catacombs, and the auto equip seems way off. After the beginner protection wear off got picked by high level player, and it's hard to recover or make progress under these circumstances so I uninstalled it.

UPDATE goes to 2*. The issue not even were solved, but after last updates, it is not possible to play - game crashes after 5 sec. Tried several times to reinstall. Without sucess. 3* goes for good game. The only thing that really sucks is, you have to reset your phone each time you do the changes insquad during the participation in cathacombs. And for support line - it is useless - no reaction at all.

The game is good. However, it's definitely at pay to win game. They ask way too much $$ for things that could easily be rewards. The grinding it takes to level up your heroes and castle is ridiculous. My biggest issue with this game is the toxicity of the servers. People in this game are real pieces of work who like nothing more than to bully people. You may get lucky and find a good guild/alliance but most of the credit cards warriors are extremely nasty people. I will never play it again.

Good graphics. Good mechanics. Good map. Not enough freereign or freewill options.

Toxic. Devs do nothing to help. Money trap. Convoluted gear system. No new content. Regret playing as long as I did.

I've played this game on mobile and PC for over 1200 hours. Play it in the background. It has become too toxic to play. Player harassment is off the charts, and waiting on tech support to reply is not helping.

I really like concept of this game. Have soo much potential, graphics and details are amazing! But please fix bugs, i just moved to a new server and everything froze. I can't move or click anywhere. I can't finish tutorial. And now waiting for u guys to fix it, and i will fall behind other players in progress.. This is second time when moving to a new realm, something bugging.

Unbalanced AF. People build whole teams around the two heroes that are absurdly OP. Moreover, catacombs are nigh impossible. I haven't beaten one in 2 months because of the difficulty level. The game is fun and highly social but devs aren't even bothering to fix balance issues in catacombs and hero strength.

Yeah it's really interesting and i love the game so much that i can't do in a day without playing it but to be honest with you guys its becoming boring doing same thing everyday, keep farming, leveling up, and still go back and farm.. Let at least have something different and please you people should give new story at champaign sector, we're done playing the whole 36 stories so we need new one to keep us busy with the game thanks

Rather dull and unimaginative. Normally starting a brand new game is easy to keep me interested. Instead I found myself struggling to want to play. It takes a lot of talent to make vampires boring. The game screen is bloated with messages. Copy paste ideas that are aimed at making a quick buck rather than keeping people interested long term. Gameplay offers nothing new and oddly enough the things designed most to wrest your time simply fail entirely. The art style lastly is unappealing. It fails

Meh, just another cookie-cutter gatcha-PvP-dungeon crawler with that awful energy system and a modest P2W mechanic (though it's not that bad, comparatively speaking). What turns me off is the unimaginative mish-mash and mangling of vampire and were lore it's founded on. The graphics are great, but there's not much variety in te characters or tasks or events, and it ends up getting old very soon. Like an M&M on a hot day, it's pretty on the outside and gunk on the inside.

The animated graphics are awesome when first launching and downloading! I had some trouble opening after the additional file download (800+mb). It seem to of hung on Google Play Game The game feels familiar to me a couple different ways like a mesh up of games I played in the past. It's really hard to start playing as a new player when there are players at level 19 mansions who have been playing for three or more weeks. To add to the difficulty there is a strong pay to win (P2W) initiative.

I wish I could give this a higher score. It does get style points since there is a distinct lack of vampire themed games on the Play Store but ultimately this is a paint-by-nunbers clone of a game you've played a bunch of times before. Bunches of people on the map, your mansion (city) has a shield that eventually expires and people raid your resources while you're sleeping. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super disappointed with this one.

Has potential in the FUTURE. But it won't happen. No real game play. Always auto fighting.. Only a "sort of" city builder, shard collector, gotcha, and pay to reduce time... it would take a year to gain decent heroes. Cannot control anything during a fight, and that is the part the messed up on. Everything else would be fine if there was some content that was enjoyable, but the "auto fighting" took any possibility away from this game. Unless they implemented something enjoyable, it won't survive

Its a slow grind game with a "wait and see" approach. That is, you send your people out and then wait and see what they do. You can only watch them. Very little strategy beyond initial positioning and giving them gear. But the auto gear option is dumb. It will prioritize health regen over crit chance or crit damage. And there is a bug in Catacombs where if a teammate dies, your game crashes after picking a replacement. I reported it but they don't fix it.

Not generally a fan of this type of game but I was enticed by the atmosphere and it's actually pretty good. Lots of grinding to level characters but also lots to do. Story is slow due to having to grind so much but entertaining nonetheless. Graphics are simple but nice. Shop prices are standard for the genre but not really necessary if you have a little patience. I like the ability to relocate your base and the crystal system, which gives you a little control over what you choose to level.

Has potential, but has the most annoying feature I have ever seen in a game. Any time you send a team on a mission, when they you have 3s to hit the tiny opt out button or you are sucked into the sloooow fight, losing whatever else you were doing. Setting up your squad to go hit that lvl 8 nuker camp you found after scrolling around on the map? Oops, going to have to find it again, you missed your window. Need to switch that to "click to opt IN to view," add double speed combat, and save lineups

In my opinion this is a great idea for a game it's an excellent blend of gotcha hero building and territorial conquering strategy game. And some of the hero designs are really neat there's some depth to the character builds and the graphics look really good. But once you try and scratch a bit deeper into the surface it is a very slow and grinding game, more so than others of this genre. all of the in-game purchases are not worth the asking price, On top of lots bugs and glitches makes it a wait

A lot of grinding. I like the game overall. It looks good and has more depth in combat strategy than at first glance. Yes, you will grind a lot, but you can always pay to go faster. Maybe not ideal, but pretty standard. Main complaints: - Catacomb enemy power levels don't make sense. Either too easy or impossible. Its so bad that I don't run them unless I have to. - You should be able to permanently turnoff auto-enter in the settings. - Why can't you sort heroes by race, level or class ?
