I have a phone with limited storage so I t rt u not to load any more apps on the phone than I have too. Hermit lets me create lots of lite versions of apps that work just as well. I also enjoy the way the browser works and the fact that I can put related links with the associated mini app. It allows for great organization. This app has a paid and free version and I am using the free one, but there are still some customizations and features I find useful.

really a fan of this app, but I am really frustrated with the lack of ability to remove the download dialog option. I use this app for imageboard crawling alot and I would really, really, really rather not have to click 3 to 4 buttons, and then back out of my gallery every single time I want to download an image. Until that control is granted, this is not for my use case, and it's a big shame.

Awesome way to turn websites to self contained phone apps. Can set them just how you like from text size, dark mode or ad block, full screen, change the icon along with tons of useful tools like sending you RSS notifications, tracking changes to a specific site/page, multiple profiles for a single site. it makes using sites you use a lot even more convenient as well as give you extra screen real estate and make them more comfortable to use than the site alone.

Great for saving space on my phone! I like the ad blocking. It's confusing to add custom web apps by url, and we can't have multiple accounts for one web app. "save Image" doesn't appear to work, because I can't find where they are saved. I can hit the save button and I'll never get an error

I use this app in place of the largest personal data collection app out there. It starts with an "F". Let me tell you, if you don't have the premium version, get it! It was a little clunky and would freeze up and stop responding quite often (still worth it to not have the real app 😆) with the free version, but on a whim I decided to purchase....90% of the "clunkiness" went away. And oh yeah, "sponsored ads", once you figure out how to use scriptlets...bye bye to those! Support this developer!

I've used this for years. You know what the one blaring problem is? That annoying update prompt. It shuts off the app on some devices making it nearly useless. I have old devices where the version running on it would've worked just fine otherwise. It's irritating because I PAYED for it and now can barely use it on my other devices. This should've been dealt with by now. At least give a script to disable this stupid prompt!

I found this app a few months ago, thought I'd give it a try now. So far is awesome, takes up no memory space and has some mini apps available. It quickly mentions about making custom apps, I'm a little behind in being tech savvy enough to know where to find the way that's done. I've swapped the apps I have for Hermits mini versions with success and they work great and I can tell the phone runs faster.

My "lite apps" suddenly have a bar at the top where the URL is, like you would have in a normal mobile browser, and apparently you have to enable "swipe gestures" in the browser to use frameless mode. But I use swipe gestures on my actual phone's settings, and so the browser's swipe gestures don't work properly which means this app is useless to me. Don't know why it changed, because I used to have zero problems with this.

Couldn't figure out how to log in to a site using Google's auth. I looked in the help, but it does not match the interface. For instance it is telling me to turn on specific settings, but those settings do not exist in the current incarnation of Hermit. And no, I am not going to contact you through the in-app interface. Other users deserve to know that your app is frustrating to use. Fix your help.

ⓇⒺⓅⓁⓎ: You can only open the original page that's listed in Lite apps. For example, you cannot open Google, search for something, and click on your search result, and have it remain after going to another Lite app. Once your leave that page, it returns to Google's homepage. Hermit is a great app in the sense that it is different than most apps here,, but it needs the option of having multiple tabs on each Lite app, and having them remain open after your switch Lite apps

great lite weight easy on phone resources (battery, memory, etc) app that just plain works. Better than the apps Facebook makes, especially that pile of junk named Messager. only caveat is you have to close the app and reopen it after sending a message. The reason is you won't see your message you just sent. I think the only people who would find this annoying would be people that thrive on Facebook messenger. might be just my phone though as well.

Edit: Thanks to the reply, the issue is resolved. Thank you! Giving 5 stars because it just deserves it! I really enjoy this app, so I bought premium. It just seems too complicated to email you for feedback. Every time I try it says it is deliverable. Did I buy something that won't continue to get updated, or did I get something without any real support? I really hope not. I used the app to send feedback from the settings but they never reach anyone.

Great app, i found it after discovering that some apps were causing a lot of wackelock. It would be great if all shortcuts could be recreated at once after a restore from backup. Also it would make it more convenient if the login info for websites was prepoluted like in Chrome so we would just have to hit login instead of first having to click the login box to choose credentials.

App seems very very useful and I'd love it more.if it didn't keep crashing on my phone. Seems like every other time I enter the app it freezes than crashes soon after. Some of the interface could use a bit of polish and customization but that's nitpicking. This app as the dev says is for power users. Hopefully an update in the future will fix my issues and I can try this again.

Now that I've been using this app for nearly 2 years, I can't say enough good things about it, the developers constant work to add new feature's, fix bugs, reply to emails, etc. What can I say? It's GREAT! LOVE IT! I've only just started, but can see the near infinite uses. The privacy aspect is another top feature that gets me excited. I do plan on upgrading to premium, but I will test some more before I do. So far, nothing to really complain or report about. Great job developer's.

The desktop version of chrome has this neat feature where it can turn a webpage into a pseudo-program. It can be opened from the desktop and gets rid of the unnecessary navigation controls. It's a very convenient feature that the mobile version unfortunately lacks. Hermit does a great job of picking up the slack on that feature.

Amazing app for creating a standalone experience for Web pages that don't otherwise have the option. I would like to see the ability to toggle a "stay awake" mode that would at least keep the screen running, but would ideally just keep the page alive in the background so long tasks can keep running. Specifically, I'm using this for connecting to my local network Stable Diffusion and if the screen times out, the phone puts the app in background mode and the job gets lost.

September 24, 2021 Update!! I would like to suggest an export-import option for lite apps, whether pre-configured or self-configured, especially for those of us who are uninstalling and reinstalling apps constantly. It would save people from having to retype the names of websites from scratch to recreate their lite apps. It's just a thought. I still enjoy using Hermit.

Three years later, still using this almost daily. It just works. I don't even think about it - some of my apps just happen to load using Hermit, and again, they just work. In all this time, they've also never pushed a breaking change, so it's stable. Highly recommend experimenting with this on different sites and seeing how it fits your workflow.

Came across this app long back but didn't understand the need of it . It was suggested recently by many people in suggestion threads & wanted to try it out. Pretty useful app & saves a ton of space on the device. They have apps for most of the websites that I frequently browse so I'm completely satisfied with it. Not to forget the different customization options it provides .Totally worth switching to.
