It was okay, some foods were expired or on the verge of being expired. The meals were pretty good and if you're looking for portion control, it's really good for that. Didn't like how I couldn't use my credits I earned for sending links until I had a "non discounted box". Basically, it showed me I would have discounted boxes for the next month and so on and I could never use the credits. Kinda seemed like a rip off

Pros: The meals are good, simple to follow instructions, and they provide almost everything you need (minus butter, salt, pepper, and oil). Very flexible plans. Multitude of options. Cons: Rarely do you get fruit/vegetables that are a bit too ripe. Deliveries can go past a day. An ingredient is missing. Simple things like this. Overall the pros outweigh the cons, and I give this service an 8 out of 10.

like the meals but they are committing absolutely illegal and fraudulent actions. I was given a promo for "a free item for life" and got it for the past 3 months or so, and no EVERYTIME I add a free item, it doubles it, so I have to pay for the second one. and it only does it after I select my item, and click the finish button. This company is absolutely sketchy and I can't comprehend how they haven't been sued to bankruptcy yet.

this service has been helpful for me since Im not great at meal planning every week and hellofresh helps take the pressure off. the app is easy to use and the recipes are easy to follow. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is because overall it is more expensive than if I got the same items at the grocery store. It's a nice service but definitely not cheaper than doing it yourself (at least where I live).

I have to use this app but I really don't like it. I cannot access discount codes (I've pretty much just given up on those). I also really don't like seeing all their adds for 'free breakfast' and 'free dessert for life' for new costumers. I've been a subscriber for a very long time (probably 2 years at this point), and there are few to no rewards for being a long term costumer.. I guess that's not the apps fault, but still. the app isn't intuitive and hard to use; not user-friendly at all.

The packaging is horrid, came in brown paper bags that were falling apart. With no ice pack to keep things cold, so majority of it was warm by the time it got to me. You would actually save money if you just bought the items individually on your own. To make matters worse, the quality of meat is equivalent to $2 meat chunks from the swap meet. 2* because the 1 star reviews are typically people who can't cancel their subscription. Do yourself a favor, Do not use this service.

surprisingly very good... every meal we have been very pleased with... I'm also surprised at how much that you're making from scratch... assumed it would be prepackaged sauces with meet and vegetables, but you really make scratch made sauces. You have to enjoy cooking as you can use several pots, pans, bowls, and cutting boards for just one meal... packing and instruction are perfect. the meat quality is very high. Quantity of food is perfect for my wife and I.

meals are delicious. I am experienced and have a taste for fresh. soup stocks are BLAND and I always add bullion. Veggies are slim. wish they would add more veggies instead of the excess starch for meals with rice or potatoes. meat is great. Portions for 2 people are PERFECT portions to not over-eat. you won't have leftovers. price is way too much for alot of the meals. only cooked 5 meals so far and all have been good to excellent. cost with no upgrades is OK, more beef options would be nice

Started off strong but the past month has been horrid. Initially started off alternating between two delivery services and Hello Fresh came out running. Dropped the other because the ingredients weren't as fresh or had items missing. After about 3 months, I started running into those issues with Hello Fresh. Never got a response back about the missing ingredients but made do without. Weather delays are beyond their control but billing is not. They kept my $$$ and applied a credit instead.

The food and meals and packaging are great. Very diverse and tasty. However, saying that paying over $11 per meal per person is as thrifty as grocery shopping is very misleading. Even with specialty seasoning and sauces, buying groceries on your own for the same types of recipes coat only about $5 per person. And even then you usually have leftovers to help stretch your food budget even more.

Food is great but the service is a pain to keep up with. I requested a pause (we would be out of town and couldn't afford it). The service was paused but still charged my card for some reason. Ended up cancelling too late and got an order we didn't want and couldn't afford. Their pause and cancel terms are not clear. Just be aware :(

Both the website and the app extremely buggy. If you try to add a free item for life it will duplicate that item and charge you for a second one. When you call for support some people will be able to help you and some won't for the same issue. If you want to be charged for items that you never wanted in the first place just to have to call back for a refund this is the meal kit for you. On top of that the shipping charge is not disclosed initially and makes the box double in cost. Look elsewhere

We really like using Hellofresh for cooking and trying different recipes, which we normally wouldn't make at home. All the chopping and cutting is much easier when we are all helping make dinner together. I enjoy the options of adding additional proteins as well. It is much more convenient to have the box delivered right to my front door compared to weekly grocery trips. No more stressing about what to cook for dinner.

While the food is great, it's almost impossible to cancel. The plans don't make sense with my life right now. Cancelling requires going to the web, which then redirects to the app, which then shows a help FAQ describing how to cancel, which requires going to the web... I have to use Incognito mode or a desktop computer to stop the subscription. Using trickery to keep customers is a sign of an illegitimate company that isn't confident in its product.

Food is good, business does annoying scummy tactics sometimes. If im short on cash and miss a payment, they send a notification that i have a free box waiting for me in app. But you open it and theres no free box, just a cheap tool to try to get you to pay even if youre short on funds that week. I have all screenshots too of these bs free box notifications.

This app makes me mad! Whenever I use it, the next morning after my order processes there are items that were in my order the night before that are not showing in my order the next morning. YES I make sure to hit save/confirm my order, but it doesn't seem to matter. I also have issues that whenever I add my free item, it ADDS a 2nd of the same item that I will be charged for when the order processes. I have a android phone & the most recent update.

Recipes are simple but very tasty. Over priced: ultimately you're paying for a little meat, a zucchini, a carrot, a carb, and some seasoning and small single use ingredients=$20. Every once in a while I'd get a low quality veggie, chicken with a hole in the package, or a missing "free" item. This app inparticular won't let you cancel your membership, you're forced to log in to a browser. Uses heavy handed techniques to prevent cancellations, which is pretty normal by now, albeit disappointing.

Glitch app when it comes to rewards. Rewards are supposed to be applied automatically, but they are sometimes not. Sometimes, it adds two items when you only want to use one. Sometimes, it removes items that you added as part of a reward when it is delivered. Support mostly tried to fix this with credits, but what made me write this review was that the credits are not applicable to add-ons which is what the reward was for! So the credit literally did nothing and they refused a partial refund.

I payed twice initially? that never got resolved. seems slightly more expensive than going to the store and getting the same stuff yourself on a larger longer scale, but this is fresher and for a person like me who doesn't have time to stop at the store bc they're closed during any free time. 3 stars because they're great, minus one for the initial mistake, and minus one for it being more costly in the long run. I can say, they offer a lot of good different foods, and I learned how to cook.

I get to try new recipes without the worry of having a bunch of leftover ingredients. So far, we've enjoyed most of the meals. There were a couple that lacked flavor. But acceptable to eat. One of our favorites was the pasta chicken sausage with Kale. That was delicious! In the long run, we are saving money by not buying a bunch of extra items that would be used once. Plus, having the nice recipes cards allows me to make more for company at another time. It's like a restaurant in my kitchen!
