Subscriber who loves the idea. But the app has had a lot of problems lately with functionality for the sleep casts. The either don't play partially (stop part way thru) or at all (I get an error message). I have done a factory reset on my phone, so I've installed the app a few times from fresh recently. Annoyed that I am paying for such a bad item. The app design is not very intuitive. I get that they want it to feel organic, but it just ends up being annoying or confusing to get what you need.

I used a free trial code from a YouTube sponsor. I didn't end up using the app, but it was still nice to have the opportunity. When my free trial ended I went to unsubscribe only to find I was already charged the 1-year renewal one day before my free trial ended. I kindly asked the company to refund the subscription fee as I did not intend to renew and after several very unhelpful emails I got a "too bad-so sad" response and they refused to refund the $69.99.

I love this app, its so easy to use. I really struggle with calming my mind to sleep. I will put on a night sleep cast (themed asmr stories) and just fall asleep. When its done, It turns off and doesn't mess up my morning alarms. You can adjust whether you want the background or narration high or lower and the themes are so great. I rarely give reviews, but I've really enjoyed headapace. Don't ever stop making the sleep casts.

Terrible customer service. There is no way to speak to customer service and their pat messages don't help. I have emailed support three times with 3 different answers, none of which work. This app used to work well, but now it is impossible to navigate. I just wanted to restart the basic class. And that seems impossible. It is so hard to navigate it just makes me more anxious. Does anyone know how I can start the basics course from lesson 1?

Updated: Nearly a year ago, I mentioned that I was not happy with the political plugs I had come across while using this app. However, let me say I am quite happy with Headspace now, as they have made a huge (and beautiful) change-up to this program. The meditations, education, ambient sounds, motivations, etc. are all beautifully done and comfortable to spend time within. I've actually shared it with a few people. Thank you, Headspace folks, for making a beautiful, fun, and helpful product!

I originally got the app a long time ago and had the free version for a while. I then bought the subscription for the stress package. This really helped. However, since then the app seems to gradually be getting worse and will turn itself off in the middle of a meditation or a soundscape while you're trying to sleep. This means that whenever there is a pause in a meditation, I'm left wondering if the app has gone off again or if I'm still in the guided meditation, which causes anxiety.

New users stay away. They've focused too much on making content and lost any simplicity. Every so often I try to get into meditation, so I open up the app and try to start their Basics series again. It's now so hidden in the mess of content that I can't find it. Sure I can find the fifth lesson, but restarting is hidden somewhere. By focusing for repeat users, they're no longer useful for new ones.

Headspace has gone from a beautifully simple and curated selection of accessible meditation and sleep tools to a bloated hodgepodge of features and tangentially-related projects. We don't need mental health coaching, study music, or workouts on our meditation app. It only takes away focus from the actual good part of the product and makes it harder and harder to access. In software development, multi-tasking is almost always a mistake, and Headspace is no exception.

Headspace feels extremely forced and one-size-fits all. No personalizing. Also, the opposite of smart. If I'm using it at 2:30 in the morning, chances are I need help sleeping. The app knows the time. Why doesn't it prompt me right to the "go to sleep" content? Likewise, it offers no diversity in the age of coaches. We all find different voices soothing. For me, the voice of an elderly gentleman would be grounding, centering and soothing. But that doesn't seem to be an option anywhere.

Been using Headspace for several years. It made adopting a mindfulness meditation practice accessible for me, despite my busy life and physical + cognitive disabilities. I now also use their yoga classes several times a week; you can pick different intensities and session lengths, much more accessible than driving to a 60-minute group class. And I use their focus music tracks every day at work as a writer, to help me stay in flow. Get the annual plan, it's worth every penny!

Nowadays, all of the applications want you to start a free trail in order to even use the app. It is useless unless you're willing to spare 12 bucks a month. ... this is redicilous...I would rather have one option to try all of the settings and then pay to proceed. But no . They want you to sign up for the 30 day trail so they can charge you senslessly .

It's great don't get me wrong, I got to experience it a long time ago when everything was open and free mostly. I've been stressed alot lately so I got it again. But then, nothing and I mean nothing was available to people who just want to use it for free. I do get it to have half or even 75% of it locked behind paying for it. But like only 10 videos? Idk even know if there is even 10. I feel there should be more free content for people who need help with mindfulness who can't pay that much.

Very straight forward guidance that has helped me get so much more relaxation and headspace. Tons of teachers to choose from and the basics are the perfect length of time for anyone. I have a very fast-paced mind with an infinite amount of racing thoughts. After doing just a couple sessions of the basics, I felt I had more peace and control than I've ever had. And for any of you skeptic Christians, this is merely teaching you breathing exercises and focus. No secular meditation or mantras.

The user interface is amazing, but the user experience is surprisingly terrible, I can't find the sessions I'm looking for easily, everything is confusing, even the time of each session, it shows as 3-20 mins, it doesn't show the time of the session, but the average time of this type of session, terrible user experience, I've used other popular apps and they were simpler and easier to work with, I hope you take this as constructive feedback and work on improving the app :).

Lots of fantastic resources and great recordings. My favorite features are the daily track where it automatically picks out some exercises for throughout the day, and the ability to switch whose voice you're listening to for the meditations. The app is generally well designed although the categories are kinda vague and it can be a little hard to find anything specific. There are no ads or gimmicky features and the only gamification is a streak system which I appreciate. Overall 9/10

Overall, i really like headspace, it got a skeptic like me to believe in the power of meditation. Search features and overall selection have come a long way! The only downside for me and why not a 5 star, is that you dont get to choose the narrator. There are 1 or 2 narrators whose voices just dont click with me, and it ruins the immersion, essentially making associated themes unusable to me. I hope they add the option to choose narrator, or at least get ppl with more neutral voices

I wish the sleep meditations lasted longer. Most of them are 10 minutes long. If I could fall asleep in 10 minutes or less, I wouldn't need the app. Even the sleep casts, which are longer, only have a guide speaking for a short amount of time. I'd really appreciate if there were longer guided sleep meditations so I didn't have to essentially wake fully back up to restart them.

The app has changed my life, and have been a paid user for several years. However, simple bugs like run streak resets, the inability to reliably download and use offline, coupled with the constant nagging for additional services has proven the application is less about its original mission and more about increasing revenue. Fix the bugs in the application and do not nag your paid users every time the application is opened (in addition to multiple emails) about new services.

I love Headspace as a service (my daily streak is over 2000 days) but this app gets worse every time they update it; it's overstuffed with random content and it's glitchy to use. My "recent" section hasn't updated for months, meditations often hang without closing for minutes after ending, I get reminder notifications to do the next session of a sleep program I completed a month ago, etc. I keep recommending this app to people but I'm not surprised that almost no one seems to keep using it.

I've used this app for years. I used to enjoy most of the content and get a lot of use out of it (esp the sleep section), but the UI just keeps getting worse, making it harder to find things w/out digging multiple pages deep, which can get stressful. Also, recently there's a lot of focus on the instructors themselves and work productivity, giving a very corporate, toxic-positivity vibe. The old stuff is still good, but I get less and less interested in any of the new.
