Review edit on 22/3/24. Reducing from 5 stars to 3 stars. Incessant, intrusive, advertisements that completely ruin the mobile app experience. From the moment one successfully logs into the app and during transition from one service to another, there are constant ads for personal loans, home loans, credit card loans, credit card upgrades and what not. DISAPPOINTED! A very nice app with well designed features that mimic the website very well. Must download in case one has an HDFC bank account.

This app needs a complete overhaul. It has a really bad UI, asks for way too many unnecessary permissions (more than other banking apps), and has a lot of annoying quirks like the 5 minute lock out before opening the app after quiting it. My credit card that shows up in MyCards and NetBanking through their website doesn't show up in app. Nowhere does it feel like I am using the app of the biggest bank in India. I have seen smaller banks coming out with way better apps.

After updating to the latest version, my experience with the app has been nothing short of frustrating. Upon opening, all I see is a blank white screen with non-functional menus at the bottom. None of the menu options respond, rendering the app completely unusable. I'm unable to proceed with any tasks due to this issue. This problem surfaced only after installing the latest update. Please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

With each new update, the app gets more terrible with ads and unnecessary pop-ups. It's like opening a news site. Annoying pop-ups trying to trick you into clicking on all types of loans. Shameful that India's biggest bank has to stoop so low with their premium customers too. It's a pain using the app. Half of the time is wasted trying to carefully avoid the pop-up and closing them, instead of doing any actual tasks. Horrible!

For every click, it pops up one or more ads for loan/ credit card etc. It's really annoying and makes it really difficult to use the app. Whoever came up with that idea of putting pop up ads should be fired immediately. Response to Support: This is a pretty obvious issue and is reported by several other users as well. I don't understand why you need me to email the details separately over an email. This review is sufficient to understand the issue clearly.

Using v11.2.3. Congratulations to the developers. They have successfully managed to lock me out of the app. Since the new update, the app requires to verify the mobile number, and I wasted half a day trying to get verified. The app sends some SMS in the background and all I see is a screen that waits for 30 secs for confirmation. And then it fails every single time. I still don't understand why the app fails to verify even after providing access to precise location, calls, sms and notifications

If it was not bad enough now there are 3 pop up ads in the middle of a transaction. Better to do banking on the browser, they haven't noticed that customers can make a payment without any interference just yet. Can you remove the ads from the app Its not as if I am using a free app Placing an ad over an action button is irritating and providing you with bogus click data

Great that you have added this authentication via SMS. But the app loses the ability to read the message, I retried atleast 10 times, everytime the message would be sent from my no. and the code will be recieved again on my phone, but HDFC app wont read it. Was so frustrated as I had to do an urgent transaction. I think it would be much better to open an account with your peers.

Since the latest update, a persistent pop-up appears every time I open the app, covering half the screen and making it difficult to access the home page or make transactions. It's frustrating and disrupts the user experience. I hope this issue is fixed soon. I have already mailed the issues on mentioned mail id from you. But after 2 days they have closed the ticket without solution.

The new version of the app is a major pain. Every screen has an annoying app pop up and it's extremely irritating to use! Disappointed! Least intuitive and not user friendly at all. Anything I try to do, and there's an error "something went wrong". I'm unable to set up anything through this app and it keeps shutting me out. No fingerprint access. Can't set up quick access pin, after reinstall the app I can't set open the aap popup and something went wrong

My mobile is Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. I opened an account a couple of days ago. I logged in with my info for the first time. From the start of logging in, the home page after login shows only the zoomed in quarter partial part of the whole page. I am not able to check anything either because I can't just find how to accept the dos and don'ts without being able to get the accept or okay button. Please help me regarding this bug. I tried reinstalling and wiping the app data,but still the same issue.

Ads on every screen The app is good, but some menu options are not intuitive.. e.g. not sure why Credit Cards come under Pay menu. Its an account. There should be an Accounts menu with all accounts. Similarly UPI is also under Pay menu. Extremely irritating are the popup ads and ads at bottom of screen.. the bank must provide a pleasant ad free experience for customers and not use the app to spam customers with ads.

Its pretty functional & one can do a lot of transactions with it. But seriously, stop with the internal ads! Today, I wanted to check my balance and mini statement and was presented with 3 ads in one go! I don't want a loan!! They make it very difficult to navigate the app - very distracting and very cheap & desperate tactics on the part of the largest Bank in India...very disappointing.

I have downloaded the app for easiness However, my experience has been overshadowed by an excessive number of ads and relentless promotions. While I understand the necessity of ads for revenue, It’s disheartening to see an app with great potential being bogged down by constant interruptions that make it challenging to navigate and enjoy the core functionalities. I am left with no choice but to give the minimum 1 ⭐ rating as there is unfortunately no option to rate it zero

I recently bought Nokia 7 plus and installed this app. When I open the app the edges are appearing in green colour. There is no problem with functionality, but just want to bring to your notice. Update: After recent update I am not able to login to the app. It always says SMS verification failed. Now I cannot use the app at all. Update: Issue is rectified after sending a mail and then waiting for 2 weeks. Now everything is fine again.

The app has come a long way and is a lot better than what it it used to be. But it still needs a lot of improvements. For example, * The UPI transaction history is not sorted correctly. Instead of the latest payment showing up at the top, it is at some random position in the list of payments. * After making a payment, there is no screen to confirm that the payment was successful or not. Please add a confirmation screen and sort the transaction history with most recent at the top!

Horrible App. Forces you to provide making phone call permissions to the app. I dont want to provide unnecessary permissions to app that I am uncomfortable with. If someone lives overseas and is trying to log in from your main device ( and keep a separate device for the registered number just for OTP), it's not possible because of this SIM binding. It should allow you to register 2 devices (think of this usecase or a couple sharing account), but they don't care about customer experience

The app's functionality is good. But so many freaking ads on a banking app makes me think what am I paying my account maintenance fee for. Previously the ads used to be less and limited to their loans. Now they have ads about other companies. I was shown an ad about IPL merchandise!! The ads are so many that I automatically end up touching it once in a while. Horrible experience

Login issues. Biometric login not working. Session timeout within few seconds of login signs out. Update: this app has become and adware. Multiple popups, ads over ads below the app, and it just signed me out in middle of a transaction. How can we rely on this app? We don't need all these offers showing up in popups all the time. Need a functioning app for banking... Couldn't give lower rating... Very bad experience 😕 Edit: Same issue with latest version. Logs in, logs out automatically
