You won't get far without spending money. UPDATE 4/24/24.. No more daily free gold so If you don't win puzzles you have to buy gold. That's not cool, but I said it a year ago... to get far, you have to pay for gold. The game also tends to let you get all the tasks done but the last item to finish a puzzle and then boom... you run out of moves. You may only need 1 more move to finish the board. It's frustrating. Too bad you can't get one more move by watching a video.

I've tried so many games and this is the only one that I have really enjoyed. It is challenging but the puzzles are not impossible and it's always something new, new spells, new characters and animals. Update, after over 2 years, I'm on level 5718, I like that the game is still challenging but not impossible, however, down to 3 stars because at this point I don't have any new animals to look forward to, the daily free gold has been removed and the events are few and far between.

I like this game. It is atmospheric and emersive. The game play is excellent and the contests and leagues are challenging and fun. The problem I have is the amount of glitches and crashes I have to endure. I can't tell you how many games I've lost... How many games I've been on the point of winning when the game decides to freeze and crash. It's in the many dozens by now! That said, I'm a high ranker with over 5000 games played. It's a good game but not without it's problems.

Changed my review from 4 stars to 2 stars. The free gold has been removed and can be earned "for free" by completing a puzzle. Not too helpful if you're stuck. I'm not downloading anything for gold... just no. I'll watch an ad for free moves but paying money- no. I've played this game for years, but it's getting kinda ridiculous. Sometimes I'll be stuck on a puzzle for a week, trying to win by luck. I like the animations and Harry Potter theme, but if things keep going this way- uninstall.

I generally like the game, great graphics that are fun to watch. But, like others have said, it's turning into a "pay to play" type of thing, you never have enough moves to finish a puzzle. Just to keep going, you need 900 coins which is outrageous really. I'm especially frustrated with the spiders. I release the spiders from the webs and they NEVER register in the goals, it takes about 3-4 extra spider releases to register just ONE goal point. Some puzzles are impossible without xtra $$ .

After playing the game with its changes I am going to uninstall and stop playing. At level 5323, all of the bonuses have changed even the level bonuses. All gone. The level win stats are now removed. Free gold removed. Free gold after winning 6 consecutive games removed. This is not an easy game either before or after changes. Super different and don't understand why the major change. The change does not make me want to play. It actually is unenjoyable to play now. Game not enjoyable. Enjoy? No!

Overalls a fun little pasttime, and it's not a cash-grab YET...However, recent changes have made the game less fun. There's no more free gold vault. There's not as much point in trying to collect and upgrade creatures. Also, I liked it better when the current creature theme was displayed more prominently. Now you have to go dig for it. Too many side games/screens to get through, especially the intro where you have to win SEVEN games in a row, which is actually demoralizing rather than enticing.

Update: bugs fixed! Only suggestion is the option to choose to use a power or save it to use a different time during the level. I still love the game! OP: I love this game and would give it a five but there are issues such as coins not given and watching a video to receive the message "connection lost" and not getting the reward for that. Irritating!

I love this game. I absolutely love it. But this new update changing how the creature blast charges up and making all of them identical in leveling up bonuses and streaks is very disappointing and frankly quite frustrating. I understand some changes. But part of the fun was finding the right creature for each task. They were all unique in their own small ways. Now they're all identical. So what's the point it trying to collect them and level them up when they're all completely identical?

...although this is an awesome game, the venue where I signed up for the game (InBox Dollars) offered a paid incentive which is quite impossible to earn, albeit unless the player actually pays for amenities that enhance the games, and speeds thing along, as far as the more difficult puzzles. Considering all that...the inability to achieve that incentive kinda takes away from the game, as well as playing any further, at least on a regular basis.....

It's been awhile since I've played this. Lots of improvements. And I love that the ads aren't super intrusive. But I wish that the tutorial wizard could be deactivated. It's not fun to be forced to explore sections of an app when you're just trying to play. Navigation should be optional to the user. Instead of forcing your users to different sections of the app, you could use a red flag to signal that there's something new to look at. That would be much less annoying and frustrating.

Update: I GIVE UP. I don't what was changed but the game is 80% frustration now. I hoped it would improve since I enjoyed it so much before. The game is ruined. 😠 Previous Review: This has become a cash grab instead of a fun strategy game. There rarely seems to be enough moves to win a puzzle without spending money and/or with incredible luck. The advertising is intrusive, long and repetitive. The 'x' button often misleadingly leads to the app store rather than simply closing the ad.

I really dislike two of the changes you have made recently. You took away two of my favorite parts of playing- I no longer have the option of receiving extra moves at the end of a puzzle after I run out of moves anymore so I'm not completing as many puzzles. Second, you removed the coin vault. When I can't complete puzzles, I can't win trophies and earn gold coins, so it it's not just hurting my progress. It is hurting my team too.

Updated 05/02/24: I watched an ad to continue for 2 more tries and the game ended immediately after the ad. What's going on, dev?! This game used to be fun but now it glitches every time there's an animation for the beginning of an event and I always have to force stop the app. Edit: 5/22/24 - I'm not complaining about ads. I'm saying that there's glitches. Please read my review above.

The game is great, but it freezes and crashes so often that it's hardly worth trying to play -- and absolutely don't put money into it, as you are likely to lose the use of the buffs and lives with each crash. (Etc.) -- Update: I tried all actions mentioned in the reply, including uninstalling after saving. When they work it's only briefly. Trying to contact Zynga help as instructed resulted in No Reply Whatsoever. My OS is current, phone less than a year old, with gigs of memory free.

Fun game. Easy to play. Well, it definitely is fun but as I go along requires more strategy. I am on level 237 now. It has taken a while to get there. Addictive. Each game has a way to win. The last level I used points to complete the puzzle. I enjoy the exercise of figuring the best way to win. Sometimes it takes several tries. I like the various helps within the games as well. I keep playing. Some levels clear on the first or second try, other levels it takes many tries to clear. Level. 563

Update 05/27/24 Still no fix and support doesn't reply for a week. UNINSTALLED. I like that you can watch ads for extra moves and points. But now that option shows up majority of the time even if it's not available. It's just grayed out. I end up staring at my phone for a few minutes wondering if it will turn on. It's not only annoying but a waste of time. I hope this just a bug they need to fix because I'm starting to lose my interest in this game.

Keys cheat & hit items already hit by other moves. Match 5 doesn't always give you the bomb like supposed to. They took away the voting option at the end of each board because they know some puzzles are just stupid. Fun... at first. Then as you get to higher levels, they purposely don't give you enough moves in an effort to "sell" you more when you fail the levels. They did improve the gold you get, but that's a small compensation for other issues.

It's a decent time waster that doesn't require ads or purchase. However, don't be fooled: it's not a puzzle game. It's bejeweled with an HP skin. A puzzle is a static set of variables that must be solved, while every level of this game is mostly decided by luck - and encourages (but doesn't force) you to buy power ups to keep a streak going. Still, while the Devs are not interested in creating a fun experience, it's rather okay to turn your brain off for a while.

Good game, I've been playing for a few years, but I don't like the recent updates. It takes longer to collect more coins and there used to be cool features like the magical mischief boxes, when the boxes were pranks. It added more fun to the game. Also I dislike the fact that the hidden maze challenge takes forever to refill your lives. I know they want you to buy more, but goodness.
