So far this app has been great. Was able to talk(Sign) with these 2 ladies and kids at the pool. They understood and was quite exciting

Interesting app. I like that some of the signs incorporate facial expressions so it's going down the right path. That said, the translation algorithm needs more work. Apparently this app can't translate conjugated words at all. And for a weird quirk, somehow just "Christian" gets you the correct sign, but "a/the Christian" gets you MY WIFE DIED. DOLLAR looks like the same sign as PEAR. Single words are better on this app, not full sentences.

I am taking asl classes and thought this app would be a good tool to help practice , study, ect. I think it has a lot of potential, however sometimes it finger spelled words instead of signing them . The grammar also is incorrect sometimes, like it will fingerspell is, or, and other words that don't need to be said in asl grammar. I also wish it used more non-manual signs, and had options for glossing but other then that, the signs seem to be accurate based on my knowledge and seems very useful

It's nice to know that, in our world, Frank Grimes chose to teach sign language instead of working in a power plant. Seriously, why does the main avatar look like Homer's Rival? Otherwise perfect and useful app.

Why isn't there the ability to make the ai choose a random word or phrase from a list you want to learn so that the toons can be like flashcards to check if you would get someone's sign... I don't really care what 👕 they wear it isn't what I need. That said, thank you.

It a good app with good graphics and good signs. However, sometimes a long sentence does not translate, it just keeps on loading forever. Please resolve the issue and maybe I'll try using it again

Amazing app, thanks to this I get to talk to my girlfriend in ASL, tip its preset isn't English so in the tutorial click on the Brazilian flag and change it to the American flag to go from Portuguese to English. FANTASTIC to work with, gave me all the examples I needed. Enjoy!

When learning sign language this is an OK app. But the character moves too fast to catch most of the signs

I like it, the characters are cute and the animation is better than i expected. its good for practicing, however some signs are wrong, hard to read, or missing and default to fs.

Honestly I just use this for fun and stupid jokes, but I've heard personal reports that it's belped some friends pass ASL college finals. So that's pretty cool. I've found no problems with the app. It has a lot of customization options I never touched, but it's cool those are there.

I love the app but unfortunately it's not Australian sign! If there was other countries other than 2 I think there would be alot more people downloading! I love how it teaches you how to sign slow and fast pace!

The only ASL signs I knew well before installing this app were the letters, and several of the letters are completely different signs on this app. Specifically, F, G, H, M, N, Q, & T. That's 7 letters out of 26. I don't know how I'm supposed to trust this app to teach me the signs. I don't know when a good quarter of the signs I do know are inaccurate. I'm guessing those signs are from a different countries sign language. I did verify I was on the American Sign Language option.

This is horrible. Full of misrepresentations. For example baiting me in to setup an account only to have the option change from "you need to be logged in to do this" to "you need to be a subscriber to do this" once I had logged in. It should of been clear from the beginning that using the camera option required a paid account. Something like "this is a subscriber feature". Then the account removal didn't work until I force closed the app and reopened it. This is disgusting.

DO NOT pay to remove ads. It doesn't actually remove them! Also it costs $10, which I thought was reasonable for a one-time fee (I'm on a fixed income so I had to consider carefully before making that purchase), but it's NOT one time, it's only for a year. Which they don't tell you until AFTER you've paid! The idea of the app is great, and I like some of the features, but they only get one star until they stop scamming people.

I really like this app! But it continues to have ads even though I paid to have them stopped. Especially because its happening every other time I ask for a word or questions. This is really frustrating when I'm trying so hard to learn ASL because my brother can no longer speak. Otherwise, compared to the ones I paid for its a great app. Please address this issue. I could give it a 4-5 but not until I can get the ads removed.

Had the opportunity to use the app with someone who is deaf. The person used a pen and pad, I used "Hugo". The app allowed for work to get done with little misunderstanding. Our interaction went so much faster and much more accurate. The person was pleased with Hugo. They were able to obtain so much more info than by me writing it. The downside is that sometimes it hears me wrong. It causes confusion. Easy fix though! Just repeat yourself. Overall, it's an awesome app!!!

It's great when it works. I paid to remove ads, which leads you to believe it is a one-time payment, but it's not. It's not a horrible deal IF it actually removed the ads. It doesn't. I have contacted customer support several times. Every update causes new problems. As of 1900hrs on 10-24 WITH the current update, I still have the ads I paid to remove. 12/23, another update, more ads.
