liked it a lot at first. Very repetitive in a lot of ways. After you reach a certain level you're at the mercy of other people to advance. The voting system feels flawed, as after a while any photos you submit, regardless how good or bad, are removed or hidden to make room for others, which to me seems unbalanced as a potential winning picture will get tucked away while one submitted at the right time will get more votes and win.

The developer added a new mechanic called "Turbo" that is advertised as a fun mini-game with a reward of extra exposure, but is functionally an infuriating way of making you open your wallet for extra turns if you fail a random carnival guessing game (no one will see your photos if you don't pay and pay to win it by brute force). It would cost me $20 to buy second chances on Turbos for all I missed today, and more if I didn't "win" all attempts. Nothing they offer is worth that much. Avoid.

This app used to be very fun, now it seems like a "pay to win" type of app. Back in the day keys were only used to boost a photo in a challenge. Now they're needed to join half of the challenges that are available as well as creating a team. Also you used to get at least 1 (sometimes more) swaps, keys, or fills when you completed a challenge. Now it seems like you get something about 50 percent of the time. Sorry I refuse to pay for these things.

While the concept of this app is great, the execution and moderation of it is messy. First, I had trouble logging in via IG, FB and email because the app would just not load. When I finally got in, I found the UI to be cluttered and confusing. I liked that I was instantly pushed to begin voting on photos, but most of the photos were horrible selfies and even some very mature content of men and women that were clearly not meant to be on topic for the app. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Locked out of my account and never receive any email to change or update my password. Having trouble getting a response from customer support. Refferd to a bot that cant understand the question. Bad customer service. Great idea and enjoyed the app, for what it is. But being locked out of the account and the thought of starting over just makes me want to uninstall.

For months I had the same issue of not being able to view most of my pictures. Even ones I newly uploaded wouldn't be viewable. All it would show is a black box. If I tap the picture I can sée it. But that doesn't help for entering challenges. I've also noticed pictures I put likes on don't all show. Suggested pics for challenges will also not show. I'm tired of this not being solved even as a beta tester. I've left this game and will not likely return. I've contacted you guys before. Game over

Edit: Gurushots fix worked for about half a day.. Very frustrating! And today Gurushots is down! nothing to do with the app this time... This could be a real good app.... except... The Chat locks up and wont let you enter your text. This happens constantly and the only fix is to close the app. The chat window is way behind and wont catch up to latest comments. you may have to close and restart the app many times to get to real time in the chat window. Both these problems play are a real problem when on the road or other wise away from a computer. Especially when you are in a team challenge near the end. Please fix this. Thanks

It's a fun app, I enjoy it. However I would give 5 stars if app creators could make it so when I go to upload photos it shows my entire library instead of the first 20 pictures repeated 3 times in the folder. It's frustrating cause I have some nice photos but I can't upload them cause it repeats only the 20 most recent pictures in the folders. Please try to fix this issue as it might be a bug.

Its fun but it seems like you have to have the ability to keep swapping photos or keep using boosters in order to actually win and 90% of the time its gurus who win. I got all the way to rank 4 in allstar level and within the last 2 hours on the competition i dropped to rank 64.... i mean come on... i get that close just to lose. ive been playing for almost 2 years now and cant get past expert level....

It's fun and all, but the app is always crashing. I've had to uninstall and reinstall it twice. I also wish it was a bit more streamlined. It seems a bit overcomplicated to get to things that should be easier to get to, like other people's photo galleries and such. My jury is still out on the voting system. I like it because it's fast, but at the same time, you either like a photo or you don't. It's not like photocrowd, which gives a star rating system with different levels of likability.

I've used this app for a very long time. And I love the self accomplishments. However, there seem to be a couple things that could be improved. 1. In the drop-down selection for the order of challenges, having an option for "team challenge" to be on top would be helpful. 2. Regarding the battles, it could be because I'm not familiar with how they work or if it's an actual issue. Every time I click on the battles, there is a pop-up saying that no battles are available and to join a challenge.

At first it is addictive, but the longer you play, you see it's True colors. Auto fill upgrade and voting are pointless, those that pay win, guru pics seem impossible, not equitable voting...challenge starts and in the first few minutes some people are 100s almost thousands of votes ahead. Once you hit Expert level...the game and honest result are pretty much over. Not sure how much longer I will keep the app.

This app is very fun to use, but it seems to bs lacking a bit of convenience, because you cannot remove a photo from your profile. Once a challenge is over, unless a photo is used for another, or exhibited, it will not be used. In such a case, it should he removable. I have two different pictures of the same subject from the same angle on my profile, as well as a picture that could disclose my location more than I want it to.

I've been with Gurushots 8 years & still haven't won a challenge to become "guru status". There are lots of bugs & crashes to this app. Some days I can't see things like when I go to teams as an example. That's just one of many. I ask myself why do I keep playing? Maybe I feel obligated to support my team. It's a break from reality maybe. I just wish it would work correctly. Other than all that I do enjoy it, simply because I love photography.

Love this app, it's so much fun. Just wish it was compatible with laptops, I'd be able to upload many more and much better quality photos. Also, you have to pay for exhibition shots-which is where your photos will get displayed somewhere- but you have to pay for an application fee. I am not sure whether or not the competition is legit or not. So I won't pay for it. If I know for sure I probably would try it out.

7/11 newst update prevents reloading of main challenge page by swiping. Now you have to shut the app and reopen to reload 👎 Big inconvenience. You cannot search your own photos unless you are joining a challenge. Also a big inconvenience. The game itself is fun, seeing pictures, sharing yours, but the app is clumsy & takes away from the experience I'm updating to add that I did contact them & they did this on purpose! They have made this app less fun & more difficult to use for no reason

When I'm able to use this (when I have data) then it's easy for any onlooker to see that I love it! The many competitions are a blast to participate in and all the practice I've gotten through the app has really helped me to improve my skills as a photographer. You can't go wrong downloading this to your device. Great job on its creation and keep up the great work! -LizB

Definitely not what I thought it was. Don't be a fool like me and buy a bunch of the $8.99 and $7.99 magazine and other exposure tasks. Legit, I thought there was real prize money on the line with each contest.. until I actually wised up and realized it was just "worth of guru boosters". So... Instead of $3000, it's like 200 swap, fill, and key items that just help boost your images. If you want to just compete and rise in the ranks for fun, do that. But there is no actual money to be won. :(

It's kinda fun seeing how well your photo skills are. However, it doesn't do as advertised. It was advertised that you would get feedback for your shots from others. But you can't even see the ranking or winners after a challenge is over. A lot of challenges are locked behind micro transactions, which I paid real money to enter hoping for some feedback or at least be able to see the winners so I can get some kind of inspiration.

Is Not user-friendly. Interesting idea but very confusing interface. It is hard to find out how it works. For example I eanked 5 in a challenge yesterday but now I see the challenge has been restarted again but I cannot submit again although the previous pictures are there. Or it doesn't show me if I already voted for a picture in case I want to remove my vote Or there is no search to find a specific challenge Or when I share a challenge it just shares the app in general not that challenge
