Still needs some work but it's fun in its current state. Best part is actual synchronous multiplayer rather than fighting a bot piloted clone of the other player. Different Heroes have a good variety in abilities and playstyles from what I've seen so far. Some stats and mechanics aren't immediately obvious, maybe because I didn't play Gunspell 1. It could use a detailed manual or maybe a better tutorial but it's not hard to figure out. Looking forward to future development.

I enjoy playing both gunspells, and had high reviews for the first one. I love urban fantasy and magical games as well as the match 3 style; most match 3 games get boring real fast but this one certainly does not. However I would say in comparison to the first one that although it's wonderful to have many characters to play with it's tedious to have to wait to get their individual cards in order to level them up, whereas in the first one you can play for experience. Otherwise it is awesome.

This sequel is below expectation. Too pay to win. No real option to farm for better equipment except for paying money and hope the crates drop something usable. No storyline, and the wait for other players to think and finish their turns makes the battles way too lengthy. I loved the first series, but decided to uninstall this one after a week.

Loved Gunspell, love #2 just as much. So glad the gameplay, graphics and atmosphere have stayed relatively the same. Some constructive criticism for devs: -- cool down on adventure is too ouch.. 9hrs or 500 coin? That will put a lot of ppl off imho -- the games needs longer missions. Either the bar gets lowered for stories or adventures are more free world like #1. Otherwise it just becomes PvP, which isn't really an RPG -- in news, the latest item is usually top of the list :)

Graphics and gameplay 5 stars however it is clearly setup to take your money right from the start. First day i couldn't lose and right after moving one level up it's been 2 days since i have won anything. Even with stronger hero in adventures. Game is rigged. No chance spending days and weeks to move one level up. "Help section"?! Also played first game so... And "Help" will help when system is giving opponents multiple matches or huge strikes in one move?! Last update - move to one ⭐ Support 0

I don't mind paying a little money for a game. However, after putting in some money I have to agree with the sentiment that this game is little more than a cash grab with sparkly graphics. The 'rng' on high value loot bosses seems pretty obviously rigged. To test my hypothesis, saved up several days of gold from quests, then found a boss with a high value loot, one I had defeated before. Everything went smooth until the boss fight, boss kept getting 'lucky' combos. Repeated 11x. Terrible.

Not very pleasing on the eye but interesting gameplay. It has potential even if it's not for everybody. I would give it a better rating if it had more early-game content; after a surprisingly short while you kind of get stuck waiting for a couple pretty long timers before being able to do anything of note.

It's too random. Not in the sense that the blocks dropping occasionally make chains of three and four matches ten times in one turn. This is a match three, that's to be expected. But there are modifiers that give you a random extra turn or block any damage done from a match. Having your oppenent match five, getting an extra turn, then getting a random extra turn, stunning you, and finally getting another random extra turn happened more than once to me in a day. It makes the game feel arbitrary.

I loved the first part, and this one is actually an improvement in how different (yet still keeping the core mechanics) it feels. Beautiful crispy graphics, challenging gameplay combining skill and chance. Sure, there is always room for improvement, but no reason for complains. And it handles microtransactions nicely, not being pay to win, only pay to speed up a bit.

Highly entertaining game dynamics. But matchmaking system is highly annoying. I keep getting matched with players 2-3 levels above me most of the time which leaves me with no chance of winning even with the best of luck. And the adventure mode brings impossible line ups sometimes and feels rigged. The worst problem is disconnection. Once you loose the connection it is impossible to restore it. I tried switching to mobile data from wifi several times but it just does not work.

Totally new kind of game. Lots of personal players you can use. It's only my first 2 hours so I'll report back n see how it is going. I'm very honest in my ratings

The original Gunspell was a great game. This one is such a letdown. The story mode is incredibly boring with way too many random encounters. Speaking of random, tha AI will consistently get multiple match streaks as tiles "coincidentally" fall into place for them. Absolutely no balancing in PVP, like what happened? Don't waste your time, there are much better match 3 games. Or just play the original.

Very well crafted game. Have to say while paying definitely helps, the pricing is pretty generous, which is refreshing. Only thing is, unless I'm missing something, at first it seems like only way to get crates is daily login bonus. Arena rapidly becomes way too dificult. Its frustrating because thats how you get the keys for adventures (crates). Shouldn't have to collect free dailies for days or weeks before making much progress. Difficulty curve is steep on this one.

The game is good, although be prepared that 80% of the game focus is PvP. There is a story mode that you can play but it gets a little boring after a while and of you draw a veteran level 4 opponent it's very difficult to win. I seen people say it's "too hard" to defeat PvP players without spending money. I politely disagree, I have not spent any money and always get to level 10 arena rank. it will take a few weeks to build up heroes, but gold is abundant through quests and story mode.

Much better than the first but has a few issues, mainly having to play PvP to get keys to do campaign levels, it should be the other way around. I don't want to play mostly PvP. The cost of items is a bit over priced and the cost of gold is pricey too. You can only use 1 person in campaign levels once a day and that is STUPID! Keys should generate over time and cost less if you purchase them. Sadly I uninstalled this game due to the unfair issues at the moment.

I like the game, but would like to not have to wait again and again for a match. Sometimes it takes over a minute and you don't know if it will match an opponent. Wish it would match quicker. Also, I'm biased. I love Gunspell #1, the story was amazing. Here, there's no quest, no development. Just P2P and P2E, gets repetitive at times.

this game is very challenging and at first i was unsure if i was going to like it. you play against other players to gain money to play pve (if you can't beat the entire challenge before dying). the pvp really does teach you to be a better player and you learn how to best use the players in combination with their items. If you want something easy, find something else. if your want a real challenge, this is it.

I play a lot of rpg matching games, including both Gunspells with enough time in between to forget why I quite playing the first one. Pros: The characters and items are fun to collect. Cons: Leveling up those items is boring and random. The PVP match making is often unfair and aweful. Increasing the number of opponents you have to fight in PVE level is not a creative way to increase difficulty. A small board, "lucky turns", and critical hits make winning more RNG than strategy.

good game overall. you will be stronger if you pay but it is not necessary. The only thing I really don't like is there's no balance system in the game. It's very annoying when my match is progressing along and either me or my opponent gets 5 and a row or a cross that just drops in without either player using any skill. But I guess lots of randomness is part of a gem matching game. In addition, the game constantly claims that my add was canceled and gives me no reward. I seriously dislike this.

Pay to win right from the start. And really not fun so why bother. Played it for a couple of hours and seen how inconsistent the tile drops were. Everything falls in place for the enemy in stories. Consistently goes out of its way to help you're ai opponents. And the game is slow and monotony sends in after about 5 matches. Don't bother. There's enough games in the store better then this one. Trust me. You'll be financially better off without it.
