App was working fine until today. Does not respond and system is not recognizing the app timely. I disarmed the system and two minutes go by and nothing. After 3 minutes it finally responded but I already wanted to leave again to arm and it conflicts. Had to use the panel the old fashioned way. Keypads are not responding to disarming anymore.

I've had to reboot my system several times because the skybell doorbell keeps dropping connection. It's annoying and aggravating makes the doorbell system worthless. UPDATE: It appears that internet provider had a piece of equipment outside my home going bad. They just replaced. We'll see if this cures the problem.

No issues with app whatsoever. Those with issues pertaining to their cameras need to take into consideration the amount of bandwidth being used up by everyone being home. This isn't just a reflection of your home network, but the ISP in your area being overwhelmed by ALL those staying home. To avoid interruptions in video call your ISP and upgrade your internet tier. You can also help yourselves out my making sure they have the latest and greatest in tech in terms of the router they installed

Push notifications and recording rules always uncheck itself causing me to not receive any notifications and recordings while away from home. When someone pushes the doorbell the video either doesn't connect or takes a few minutes to connect. Horrible service I have ever had with a security system. No wonder they require a 5 year agreement term. When its up, the first thing i am going to do is cancel it.

I changed internet provider and I am unable to reconnect the doorbell. I am unable to change to the proper internet connection.

As much money I have invested in Guardian monthly and in equipment, the communication with the equipment is horrible. I am thinking about switching. I have been with Guardian since 2015 and the past couple of years, the communication has become weaker. My mom has another security company and compared to theirs, Guardian is behind. I have had multiple techs here, no good result. If something truly happens, Guardian SECURITY would not be dependable. So sad.

System working properly. Can't set up my app. with the cameras in the order I need or want. When view in app. it has the most important camera that I need in front to view, placed second to last. My first camera is actually the one I don't view much or need to be first, patio. Tried to fix order of cameras for viewing in app and used support system to fix issues, to no avail.

We have the garage door opener lately it has been giving a tamper alert and when it does the panel beeps insesintly. Wasn't the garage door sensor ir was a tilt sensor.

App does what it's supposed to, BUT. The latest update ruined the widgets for Galaxy. Used to be able to tap any one of my scenes for my house (Disarm, Arm (Delay), Arm (No Delay), etc.) from a widget placed on my home screen. Never had to access the app. Now the widgets don't work after Version 4.10.3. Other then that, app works like it should.

Annoying nag screen prompting for 2-step verification for "added security". This is irritating because I use a fingerprint for password protection, which is required at the nag screen and again to access the alarm system. Allow users to turn this off. The program demands this "feature" or you will be nagged about it forever. Let ME choose the security and not be required to succumb to your demands. Thus the low rating.

A good app. Can be better. You took away the option to customize the countdown and made it default. As a customer I like the option of tweaking my app and equipment settings. Nowhere in the app or the website can I edit my settings to the way they were set before the update. 😡

System never works, I've had issues with billing in past so I'm not even trying to get someone to look at my system in fear of a ridiculous charge! I pay $67 a month and the doorbell and front locks not working! App always sucks, by the time you get phone out andxload video its to late! I use ring app (I don't own, bever have a ring doorbell) to track neighborhood issues and trends! I would never recommend Guardian Protection! I wish I could get out of my contract (Systemwas here whenmoved in)!

the ios app is much better than the android app. I constantly get connection errors when viewing any of the cameras, the entire app is buggy and crashes on both of my android phones and I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps, and not to mention the doorbell takes an entire 8+ seconds to load the live stream. some kids ding dong ditched my house, they ran away and I was not able to load the doorbell live video feed in time. but at least the detection sensitivity doesn't work so that's nice

I have guardian equipment in my home and when I cancelled Guardian monitoring, the app doesn't work!!!!! Meaning you cannot activate alarm or see if it's going off unless you pay for service. Stinks!!! So they want approx $40 per month ($480 per year) to reactivate services/app when Ring charges $100 for entire year for live monitoring. I have Ring at second home, and it works great. And if I didn't want monitoring from Ring, I can still use app. Guardian products way overpriced if broken!!!

Don't buy into this. Worst security system I've ever used. Same price as ADT. Defective sensors and cheap doorbell camera. I'm stuck with the 3 year contract. Definitely switching to a better company. DON'T GET A COMPANY WITH A LONG CONTRACT. The app freezes sometimes and need to refresh the app manually sometimes. Had their service for less than a year and they want to charge us $60 co pay to come out for a defective motion sensor. Unless we have a ghost in the house. I'm not paying that. SMH

Way too expensive for functionality I can get from Alexa for free and there is a lot of missing/buggy features. The thermostat status takes too long to update and it constantly notifies me the battery is low, forcing me to turn off notifications. Adding other people doesn't work no matter what we do. Thermostat scheduling interface is horrible.

Never had to access the app to view my video clips. For about two weeks now everytime I click on the widget it takes me to the login page and not the video view. I use to be able to just tap my screen for the house views but that is totally messed up and are not working. May have something to do with the last update for the Galaxy widgets Also, Guardian charges you everytime they have to come fix something NEVER falls under maintence repair ( no charge ). So I get notifications, but cant view.

I love being able to arm/disarm remotely; it's so convenient! I also love having the ability to check our videos, "answer" the door remotely when the doorbell is rung, etc. However, it drives me nuts that our doorbell camera records every little thing, and it's on the lowest setting! Its eaten up our video space many times and I'm already over 50% for the month of February. I'd hate for something bad to happen and it not get recorded because our camera decided to record a leaf blowing by.

Update on 12/9/2018: lowered to 3 stars. App widgets no longer work with Samsung s9+. By no longer work I mean it works 10% of they time. One widget seems to always fail. It has a scene with 5 commands. Update on 10/5/2017: I do like this app still but I wish the widgets would notify me that they ran successfully. When I run a widget to set the alarm from work or the store (bc I forgot to set it when I left), I find myself double checking in the main app. Defeats the purpose of having the widget. Original: I use GE zwave plus switches with this app. Works great. Small delay sometimes up to 5-10 seconds but normally around 2-3 seconds. I'd imagine that is more the devices and distance more than the app itself. Overall I'm really satisfied and my wife loves just pressing the movie scene from the couch. App has widgets for Android OS that allows me to run scenes right off the home screen. I have 6 devices currently and I might get more but just did the essentials for now bc it's cost $$$$. Can't wait until these switches are just the norm.

Communication between the app and the console is horrible. We always get a could not connect message when trying to change a setting. When arming or disarming. Even after tuning our cell on and off it does not refresh. It works when it wants to. Not very safe considering it's a monitored alarm system. 07-2023 UPDATE Why does the thermostat take FOREVER to update??? It's a waste of energy if it's not reading and updating on/off in a timely manner!! Refreshing the screen RARELY works.
