The recent update (March 2024) is no bueno. Messages aren't showing up when sent. Getting notifications of new message or album received but nothing is there. This is giving me Sniffies buggie vibe. Not able to see old messages sent until you close and open the app multiple times. I actually pay for the app, but seems like things aren't getting better with the development upgrades they're trying to get users to install and update.

Banned without knowing what went wrong. The ap kept the money I paid even though I was 5 months into a fully paid subscription. These people are THIEVES!! App has ads to the point that it is extremely annoying to use it. If you delete the ad it comes right back when you refresh the app. A few ads are okay but it is now ridiculous. Lately it has been riddled with Chinese scammers. I get up to 6 or 7 in one day, absolutely unreal! Recently the subscription price has been doubled.

Wow this app just gets worse! Now you can't even see taps older than a few hours without paying (previously 1 day). You can't see more than 3 albums users unlocked to you in the past without paying (previously 6). Latest update (Mar 8) does not clear read messages when you select the unread filter. The albums folder now shows oldest albums first so you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the latest ones. Messages still don't always send. Endless bugs, so why the hell would I pay!?

Features are slowly becoming non-functional. Can't see when messages are read, online/offline status is not correct, distance takes hours to update sometimes, sometimes it never does, and people in other states will forever say 2 miles away. Adding videos to albums doesn't usually work. Messages will take 20 minutes to show up, but then it'll say they sent it a few minutes after my last message, causing unnecessary tension and confusion.

Way too many glitches! Messages only show as being "delivered" , never "read." The app has slowed down and is delayed in loading profiles. The message list pops up to the top instead of where I left off. I've had to uninstall it twice to resolve these issues, but that doesn't work. I tried to force stop the app but that doesn't work, I've cleared the cache and even the storage. None of it works.. I canceled the subscription. The price for grinder premium or extra is outrageous.

Idk why we gays even use this app. The app itself is slow and clunky, and is constantly losing connection. Clicking the wrong area on the app will try to upgrade you to Xtra. Messages half the time don't send, but you might not even know about it because the app just can't connect. You click a guy, send a message and it opens an ad with not one, not two, but THREE different screens you have to exit out of. It's almost as if the owners of the app are trying to kill it.

Constantly loosing chats, problems with photos, constantly getting connection error with server. Cant use tribe filters for search without server error. They sure have no problem with ad popups though, constant ads, constantly pay to upgrade. $$$$ if want upgrade. Keep dropping features once available to add as upgrade. Dropping connections, notifications inconsistent. Mostly don't work.

it's good, i been able to meet some ppl on here. my only problem is, sometimes i can't view the albums sent to me. even when i have good wifi connection and service. and it sometimes takes away the albums i have seen, so i can't view em :/...pls fix this. i have the latest version of this app and still it don't work.

same reasons other people have given. the app constantly has connection issues (though somehow the ads always work), they remove more features with every update to the point that it's becoming unusable, and they've still done nothing to remove bot accounts. the latest update removed all of my chats and has made the app glacially slow, while removing several previously-free features. eta: with the latest update, all albums shared with me have disappeared and/or will not load at all.

There is NO reason for fullscreen ads almost every time you exit a chat. Doesn't alert me when I have new messages. Messages don't always send on the first time, resulting in having to restart the app and retry until it works. Ads are too disruptive and definitely misleading; Grindr allows scam Mr. Beast ads that are impossible to close. No longer reads my location every time, preventing viewing who's nearby without refreshing several times.

Removing features such as chat search, view received photos, etc is completely incomprehensible. The features were there, they worked, they were free. The prices on your paid version are WAY too high for what you get.... that being basic app functions you'd expect for free. And now the built-in "chat message" ads come back after deleting them 3+ times. Combined with a bug that keeps you on the "select chats to delete" even after pressing delete. Do better with all the 🌈💰 that you're raking in.

Frustrating update!! Installed the app update and now the app crashes frequently while typing messages. The feature to show pics received is also gone. I hope this can all be fixed soon. Wish I hadn't updated it. Very frustrating! UPDATE: The main issue I had was resolved with an update a couple days ago. Thanks! Unfortunately the feature to display pics received still is gone.

Why do y'all make this app worse and worse? Like before the ads, it was fine. Ads galore now, and there was Even a time you used to be able to at LEAST check out the most recent person that checked out your profile. And now I see that instead of getting 3 free chats when you explore, y'all reduced it down to just one? 🤬 I'm sure next we'll be getting charged just to send messages to each other. If it's costing so much just to keep up and running, it might be time to let this app go.

There's been crashes after crashes, messages not sending at all, and more. You used to get 3 free chats to talk to other people who aren't in the small area they give you, but now they took that away, so you have to pay for it. The app used to be cool and great, but now it's turning into like all the other apps to where if you want to talk to people out of the small radius, you need to pay for it. I might just switch to a different app that doesn't charge you, and your radius is 10x of gridr

This app is nothing but bugs and glitches. The app processes my payment 100 percent of the time and functions correctly 20 percent of the time. Unaccessible for a paid app. Do not be scammed like I was. There has been a pop up saying they are aware of the albums and photo share problem, but it's been almost a week with no fix in sight and I've not been offered an extension to my paid service to cover the week I've paid and lost already. Terrible. Just terrible.

Is what it is. Pretty much required to pay for the app to be usable. Really wish the notifications were more customizable. Its kinda stupid that you can't select an option to only get notifications from people you add to your favorites list. I'd rather not get all excited about seeing an incoming message, only to find out it's not the cute guy I like but a weird old perv who wants to "come please me." Other than that, it's probably still the best app in terms of available options.

Ads have become past the point of obnoxious. Each click on the app isa new advertisement. What used to be one ad has turned into 2 to 3 ads at a time for inane games. The features are getting worse ie taps expire and you cant see who sent it after 3 hours and the lack of a basic photo requirement or a complete profile from so many users is off putting. Sniffies is way better and is web based with less hassle.

you'd think that paying for the use of an app would mean that you actually get to use the app. Not so with Grindr. I have to go back and resend messages every couple minutes, and countless messages just never send at all. overall, kind of an annoying app to use. takes three times as long to get anything set up. most recent update makes it impossible to open sent albums or properly view pics sent. Insane to have these types of issues on an app I have to pay to use properly in the first place

Worst app ever, The moment you hit the back button you will be greeted with a long ad, the moment you click on somebody's profile and you go back to the home page you get greeted with an ad, It constantly says unable to refresh. Every time an ad pops up now I just close the app out and reopen it because it's so annoying. And they block your view and ability to click things with an ad of theirs trying to get you to pay for their extremely expensive premium.

The last few months it has been at best mildly frustrating and at worst almost unusable, and everything in between. Never works seamlessly. Often can't refresh without closing and reopening every 10 minutes or so. There are days no one can see my albums I shared, and I can't see theirs. I can't even see the photos in my my own albums. 5/25/24: so they permanently deleted my photos in albums. Great. Some were spontaneously taken on the app. Never to be seen again. Thanks!
