It's OK but doesn't have portuguese on there this is the language I am learning as my husband and his family are portuguese the app should have all languages will get more people interested other than that I feel it will help with speaking in a forgein language much better just need to add more languages.

A very good app as far as practicing speaking a new language in conversational senerios, but sometimes the app has trouble responding to the speech where it picks off by saying something else than what you said. I'm practicing Spanish and French. I will be also good to add more languages such as Japanese, Russian, etc.

The game company is super helpful, and the app really looks good. The only problem is the lack of languages. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the language I want to learn (Japanese), but I'll be waiting if there's an update. Have a good work!

UPDATE 18/02/24: thanks to the bug fix all is seemingly working well. Only done about 5 mins so far though. Previous review for archival purposes: Currently unusable, at least personally as app fails to connect to the Internet on both mobile data and WiFi.

Cool concept, but a little frustrating to use. As you try to remember how to answer verbally, the app seems to time out as you are talking and thinking of the next sentence.

loving it. Ive been using another app for a while and always skipping speech lessons. i am able to easily read at my level, and realising just how bad my pronunciations is. This is a great app.

Good looking app, however the in-app sign up form has a fatal error with the select foreign language box being blank (grey background) and extremely long (there IS a bottom to it but took a good minute of fast scrolling). There might be a work around by signing up online if there is a website to do so. happy to re-review when the issues is resolved and I can access the app

Great, but Lacking in choice. I just found this app as I have no one to speek welish with .however I also feel its choices of language is very limited. I am learning Norwegian as well and as I have no one to speek with , golingo would be a great aid.

Go lingo is actually a great dpp but you say it is completely free which is not true because to get the full version you have to pay and this is misleading and false advertising. A lot of companies do this on there adds on here and this has to change because this is false advertising.

I was so excited to use this app. I'm trying to learn Japanese and Korean, but they didn't have it. I told myself "This app is perfect!" I downloaded it, and there's not enough languages. It looks awesome. Very useful, however I couldn't use it because it didn't have the language I wanted to learn. Hope you can add at least Japanese and/or Korean.

A beautifully constructed app that allows you to practise your speaking at a relaxed pace and explore a virtual cityscape to focus on perfecting your speaking skills in different everyday situations. Very useful and highly recommended! :) There's a good selection of languages to choose from and it's very fun! :)

Seems like a pretty good app with plenty of lessons. First couple of lessons worked fine. However, now it is not properly recognising my speaking. It says 'try again' but says it's recognised the phrase I said. Shame, was keen to use it more.

It is a good idea and is overall a great app, the only real problem is that it requires you to talk on pretty much all the questions. Sometimes you are not in a situation where you can talk, especially in public (eg I do thy stuff in the bus), if there was any kind of alternative to speaking then that would be great Also they are very good at reading reviews so I think they will do very well, especially in the future. 5 stars!

I think 🤔 that this is not my type of learning app because it was working very slow as compared to Duolingo . I guess everyone would be having the same experience as me. Whenever I speak on the microphone I pronounced it correctly even though it was right it seemed wrong there. I won't wanted to give it a bad review but still I think before anyone else download it everyone should be aware about the issues occuring in this app. I would suggest to download Duolingo instead of using this.👍👍

Few languages. No Chinese. Switching out of app usually means it restarts app or lesson (says it took a nap & throws away your progression in current lesson). Can't press to talk instantly but have to listen to app play what you're supposed to say instead of just reading it yourself. Slow and too focused on speech recognition which simply doesn't work well in essentially any app yet. Eg. "100%" match for "gray cheese" instead of gracias - you don't really know if you're pronouncing well.

An interesting concept. However, when doing the very first introductory Welsh lesson, there was an error. We're taught to use "ut wyt ti" instead of "Sut wyt ti". If there are errors in the most basic use of language, I'm not sure I can trust the app to be accurate in the more complex forms. Also, if coming here from an ad that suggests this app is "completely free", it isn't. It's largely free, but costs £7.99 for full version. A shame really, as otherwise it's an interesting way of learning.

Fantastic concept but often has difficulty hearing/understanding what is said (with very some random interpretations) - it's not a pronunciation issue, it's just poor audio sampling. Additionally it cannot count days - notifications received morning and night to do a lesson and not loose my streak (even if a lesson has been completed 12 hours prior!) Most annoyed that clicking on streak notification today shows I've now started another streak despite having not missed a day! Not good!

For me, I've had no real bugs that prohibit me from using the app. However, speech recognition is often slow. Sometimes, it stops listening before I finish speaking. There's also no way to leave suggests or contact support. Also, dialogues do not sound natural. It would be better if native speakers were used. Other than that, the app is nice and is going in the right direction. I honestly think it has the potential to better than most alternatives.

I LOVE this app! It takes some getting used to, and the willingness to just go with it and try things Even if it feels like I barely know what I'm doing, because that is the emulation of real life learning. Letting go and just having fun with it, and I was surprised that in just a few lessons my French accent noticably improving! It absolutely fills a huge hole in my learning from Duolingo, the speaking and the interaction. My focus is on Japanese right now, so I hope they add that ASAP!

A good start to an app that fills the niche that Duolingo falls short on. Once the bugs are worked out, this could be a good companion. Why choose one or the other when they really do different things? Duo may be better at teaching grammar and is overall more well-rounded, but Go teaches language in the context of conversations, helpful for conversational confidence. That said, speech recognition is flawed, I shouldn't be judged on how I pronounce my own name, and I need more time to answer.
